Benjamin pondered the whole situation until he was addressed. It seemed he had a time and place to go, if he so chose, now. But he had no idea what to do. If he should join or not. Abby asked what they would all do and he could only turn to her and say, "I have absolutely, not a clue." He stood up and dusted himself off, picked up his shoes in one hand. "But we have until tomorrow to figure that out." On one hand, he could join the Mafia. Professional crime. He didn't care much about the legality of actions, rather the morality. If he joined the Mafia, he might be able to get his father out of debt, and in turn save his mother from looming danger. If he chose to stay out of it all, he'd probably scratch out a pretty good living for himself with a kick-start from his father, which he would almost certainly get due to general guilt for not being there for Ben. He didn't know. But he did know these people, at least these Guardians were good people. From what he'd seen, anyways. He figured, since Sonya was gone, he should bail, too. He began the trek home in his bare feet.
((It's late. Don't hate me for length.))
