Arena FAQ/Advice

So I just joined and there are a few details I'd like to scope out.

1. Magic seems to have a tier system based off both numbers and words. How exactly are these organized, and what is a typical level of magic found?

2. There seems to be a vast amount of character's from a variety of backgrounds. Do a majority have multiple character depending on the genre (modern fighters, fantasy mages, etc.) or do you see a lot of mesh.

3. How does the ranked system work, and what is a good way to get started?

Oh gosh. I might as well pick my favorite weapon.

I've done high fantasy, medieval, modern fantasy, science fiction, cyberpunk, steampunk, moderate fantasy, apocalypyic, dystopian... the list goes on and on.

I'd have to say moderate fantasy is always one of my tops, along with science fiction. Though my avatar probably illustrates both.

I'd first like to say hello to anyone who has taken the time to read this thread, as I know introduction threads aren't the greatest source of literature. Beyond that, my name, as is indicated, is Dymion when on any sites like this, and I am a huge fan of story writing and roleplaying. I have done it for approximately two years now, one on a social site with a basic group, mostly as combat, and the second on an app and forum where I improved my combat skills, character creation, and writing. I usually stuck with the Advanced Rps, which are of similar quality to this site's version, until I joined a Kingdom group on the forum, where I spent most of my time. Due to late actions by the developers, however, much of Advanced and the Kingdoms died, leaving me rather devoid of roleplay opportunities. Which lead me to this.

Bit more about me, I am a big combat RP, having been the best on the social site and help in the upper categories of the forum, with noone claiming best due to a lack of the competitors posting consistently. My best characters, I've been told, are my villains, and often I was the premiere antagonist on the site, both for the kingdoms and Advanced Rps. Here I hope to continue to grow that legacy, though perhaps with greater activity thanks to more active members.
