I had work today and used all of my energy to not murder the guy who made the restaurant smell like pot. So, I'll post tomorrow. :3
I want to make a character that eats electricity. :3
Is this like the other Sew of the Soul or are you recycling the name? :3

And, of course, I'll join.
Ember, for the most part, ignored the girl's lecturing. There was really no reason for Batman to be called just because Ember couldn't hear his thoughts, nonetheless read. Reading was very important, probably the most important thing in all the universes, but it definitely wasn't a reason to call Batman. But he couldn't blame the girl for jumping to that conclusion since everything about her screamed only-child. If the girl tattled, that would only worsen the situation and Ember would never be able to read in silence. Without reading, he'd be forced to watch television. And the television would have to be able to record channels because there was no way Ember was going to risk watching commercials with water in them.

Since the fight seemed to be ending, Ember allowed the flame surrounding.his hand to die out. "No, you two can totally fight." Ember argued. The problem wasn't the fact the were fighting; it was that Ember couldn't read over the noise. "Just do it outside or be quieter?" He suggested, not even thinking twice about Robin kissed Rachel. If they were in a relationship, good for them! But... Ember just hoped the wouldn't break up and make the whole team awkward.
Kami moved her hands down the body, watching as cuts slowly mended themselves back together. This was nothing bad; an unfortunate incident of a child being a child. Kami had climbed her number of trees when she was younger, and not every excursion had ended well. She'd been yelled at by his mother on multiple occasions for being a reckless child. So, no matter how ridiculous the eight year old she was healing was or how stupid his ideas had been, Kami really couldn't fault him. Children always learned best by making their own mistakes. However, despite how she couldn't wholeheartedly fault the kid, she was definitely telling him how stupid he was. The last ten minutes had been Kami lecturing and call the child names he probably hadn't been called by a doctor or medical ninja before. "You're a freaking idiot, you know that?" That was the calmest, most PG words she'd referred to him as in the last few minutes.

Kami had seen children died; she had attempted to save dying children during the Resistance. A child shouldn't risk their life for such a stupid reason! A tree, a freaking tree. It was such a normal, easy mistake. Everyone was trying to make life seem normal, but... Kami wasn't sure she could ever get used to this. She couldn't ever get used to children getting injured trying to be monkeys. Just as Kami was about to grab the child and start shaking sense into him, her mother walked into the room. She was scowling but that was fine because her mother wasn't really a happy person. And it was way too early. If Kami hadn't drowned three cup of coffee, her face would probably look the same. "Kami, you do know I'll have you escorted out if you keep harassing the patients, right?"

Kami sighed, holding her hands away from the child in surrender. "Yeah, yeah." She stood up, wiping her hands off on her pants. "I have to a genin to find anyway." Kami slipped her hand into her pocket, pulling out a piece of paper she'd written the name on: Shira Hataga. Kami wasn't the best person with children, but... she could definitely try. She ruffled the kid's hair and, without saying goodbye to her mother, left the hospital. "Shira Hataga. Hataga Shira." Originally, Shira was supposed to have a nice six hours before reporting to Kami, but Kami was pretty excited to meet up with her team. And, there as also the fact, that if she had to deal with one more idiot at the hospital someone was going to be thrown out of the window. Kami glanced back down at the note, trying to mesmerize the name. She probably should have asked for a picture or something. Oh well, Shira was supposed to meet her at Amaguriama. Kami could happily spend her time munching on sweets until Shira appeared~

Ember just conveniently did not notice Robin or the girl in her sports bra who just threatened to call Batman on the two idiots xD

Reading his book in quiet > Girl in sports bra. :3
Of course, if a mother gets a text message she's going to want a phone call. His mother was content after hearing his voice and rambled on about home and how awesome his brother was doing in law school and how Ember needed to remember to keep up with his studies if he ever wanted a career. She seemed to think his idea of being in musical and plays was absolutely ridiculous. After all, being a super hero was volunteer work. Ember needed a way to provide for himself and apparently he couldn't mooch off his brother because his mom had already called dibs.

So, like most teenagers, Ember decided to ignore his mother's warning and read. Reading was sort of like studying in the way it supposedly increased intelligence but had nothing at all to do with what he was learning at school. He was so absorbed into his book until he started to hear loud noises. And he really, really tired to ignore them. He even attempted to hum to himself so he would't have to leave the book he was reading. Unfortunately, whatever was going on downstairs didn't seem like it was going to end anytime soon. He placed the book under his arms and marched all the way doing to the living room.

The living room... where Nathaniel was in some territory disrupt with some guy? Honestly, what were they? Cavemen? Ember was slightly concerned about the living room's fate. If the team destroyed the room, then what? All they'd be doing is proving their were irresponsible, immature children and possibly get the base taken away. And there was no way after seeing the library, Ember was going to give this place up. So, he decided to play immature with immature. Not that Ember was mature himself; he still burped fire just so to stress his mom out.

Ember lifted the arm the book wasn't under and smirked as his hand caught fire. "Nathaniel and living room guy, I'm going to give you three seconds to quiet down so I can go back to reading. Or..." Ember threatened, his hand getting dangerously close to the wall. It was a bluff though. There was no way Ember could live for himself if he destroyed that library. And he was also pretty sure Ember's power had been considered during the construction of the base. But... there wasn't a reason for him to admit to the bluff. He just wanted them to be quiet. "So, what do you to say? Play nice with each other or burnt down base?" He asked with a smile.
After Ember had made a pile of books he had to read out of all the bookcases, he happily started through them. He was pretty sure he could live here forever and never leave. As if on cue, his cellphone buzzed. He pulled it out of his pocket because his mom would do something like ground him from playing with what she called 'his super little club'.She wouldn't even care if she had to rent a boat, charging it on the Justice League for it because she was a working mother dammit, find Ember, and drag his fiery butt all the way home. She had all the right to do just as she had threatened and probably would if Ember started procrastinated in replying to any and all text messages and phone calls she set him.

Sighing in grief, Ember closed the book he was reading. And yup. That was a text message from his mother. A lot of roundabout ways asking if he was still alive a she'd come get him or send his brother to get him if he wanted to come home. She probably would send his brother and that'd be the worst. His brother had the super ability to be stressed and, being in law school, Ember totally understood. Picking up Ember from a secret island base probably would take away precious studying time.He sent back a very detailed 'I'm-still-alive' text message and then left his room. Or, in other words, the library he was going to drag a mattress in. He needed some hot chocolate or something.
And me. I think we're waiting on Corrupt since he's sick?
So, Innue's Shiƍ is Kami's teammate? I'll try to get my intro post done tomorrow.
