She sighed, watching the smoke escape her lips to reach the night sky. There was something upsetting going on inside of her head and stomach. Not like a headache or pukey upsetting. Something kind of sad maybe? She didn't really get it. She was her to distract herself from the fact that Jordan was moving away and she would not see him again. Bea didn't like it.

She snubbed out the butt of the cigarette and gulped down a good portion of her drink. Now that she had liquid numb on board to deal with the craziness that was a party she went back inside. More people had arrived and were starting to group up or dance. Bea went back to the drink table briefly to fill her cup and then moved around the edge of the party. She wandered room to room, just watching and listening where she could. Nothing seemed to interest her. Not even the sight of Sonny in drag, which would have normally been amusing enough for her to consider painting it.

Not paying too much attention to where she was going, the young woman quite suddenly ran into something much taller than she. After stumbling briefly and saving her drink she looked up at him. It would seem she had run headfirst into the Artist Formerly Known as Prince. She patted her fake blonde hair to ensure it had stayed in place and raised her eyebrows at the previously dead man. What was his actual name again? "Sorry man," she said in her usual bland tone. "Have any trouble digging yourself out of your grave?" she inquired.
I tried to do something like this before but time and other things prevented that from going well. I did learn some things as a gm though~ I may be interested and will keep an eye on it. I want to make sure I don't over burden myself~

"Aaah," she breathed out as the only reply to Ana's remark. She felt foolish and her face was flushed not only from exertion but embarrassment as well. She let herself concentrate on the issue at hand, it seemed that Mary was hurt and dying. She was tense and knew not what to do. Her abilities did not lay in healing but hurting. What she needed Bobbi couldn't give.

Then in walked Chrysi and it seemed to raise everyone's hackles. Bobbi felt on edge due to the and hefted her hammer into a more attack rather than relaxed position. She glanced at Gambit and asked, "Would ya like me tah detain her?" Her eyes were back on Chrysi, ready to pounce and maul should she be directed to do so.

While Fatima had given Jassen some warning about the new member of their party joining them and this person's position as a true part of her Court, it had done nothing to lighten the man's mood regarding this interruption. He had made it quite obvious with the number of harrumphs through the rest of the evening. She had known Jassen since the beginning of her life, he had always been someone who was around to watch over and protect her. He was obviously not pleased that this person they had just met could earn even that small amount of trust from her that had taken him so many years to build. In truth, she did not entirely trust Jandar yet, and on their travel away from the inn which had been their refuge from the night, she explained with as little detail as possible where they were going. Fatima did not reveal where she was a Queen who held court but had merely made mention that she was searching for help to ensure that her people could thrive. And would have food through the winter months.

The travel had been otherwise quite uneventful and she made an effort to get to know her new companion better. She shared minor details of her past - traveling around Terrielle and often slipping her protectors as a youngster - and listened to any stories that Jandar saw fit to share. The muddy roads were a traveler's nightmare but Fatima had to reign in her wild energy to keep from jumping into puddles or throwing mud balls at her companions. It was exhausting to be well-behaved. At long last, they arrived at another inn, the one her maid had mentioned. It was hewn rough as if crafted from the ire and hardened will of the Eyrien race. All marred stony facets and stained surfaces, the building was just as uninviting inside as it was outside. But it had not been built for her sensibilities and so Fatima could look at it with an eye of curious interest.

She made a soft hissing sound at Jassen's comment. No need to be rude. "As long as my people will have full bellies I would gladly drink and bathe with viper rats," she whispered back to him. She had never seen an Eyrien before and the great wings were so much bigger than she had even imagined. Fatima desperately wanted to run her hands over the wings, touch them, and perhaps go for a ride into the sky. How much flirting would she have to do in order to win one of them over, she began to wonder. She chewed on her inner cheek as she brought her mind back to the task at hand. No time for fun. It was so hard being so freaking serious. She did not have long to mull over this when the proprietor of the establishment appeared and spoke to the trio. She caught his tone when he spoke 'Lady' and she flinched slightly. This moment of weakness was enough to give Jassen time to posture which the Eyrien obviously did not appreciate.

Stepping forward with a kind smile on her face, she placed a hand on Jassen's arm to reign him back in. "Calm," she said softly before turning her attention back to Randalvar. She cursed herself, realizing she had not asked her maid what it was she should say to this man in order to seek out the black widow in secrecy. Her quick mind tumbled and fumbled for a moment before she opened her lips and said, "I am in search of tales. There is nothing quite like traditional stories of our land weaving together in an intricate web to create a vision of Terrielle and her people. And I would love to listen to one who could weave me such an oral tapestry. Do you have any stories for me?" There, did that make sense? Had she gotten her request across?

Mona heard the call of the only person she could call anything close to a friend here. She rushed as quickly as she could toward the woman, ignoring the heat of the burning table. Perhaps it would help keep these creatures at bay, stopping them from getting too close. Her hopes for this were not high though. As she moved she pulled another Fyre Marble from her belt pouch. She rolled it carefully in her hand as she came to a stop at Amarantha's right side.

"Oi lassie looks like you could be usin' a helpin' hand," she said with a kind grin. She had not yet noticed the fangs in her friend's mouth. Her attention was on the creep who was advancing toward them. Mona held the marble up, preparing to flick it at the bastard. "A hunters bow, me hand be primed. Let me aim be true and tried," she murmured the words to her spell and released the marble. It flew fast and hard before it hit its mark and exploded into flame. The vampire burned and Mona was feeling pretty darn proud of herself. With a smirk, she turned to Amarantha and held out two of her marbles for her. "Take 'em, they'll light up soon as they hit whatever they be thrown at. Oi, what be wrong with ye teeth girlie?"
Yes yes! I am here. I plan to post as soon as time allows. I am playing a bit of catch up. I recently adopted a dog which is keeping me hella busy.

Bobbi could feel herself getting more and more annoyed that her permanent chaperone was following her to the kitchen. She could get her own goddamn breakfast! He needed to back the fuck off. She thought about yelling at him, hitting him, something or anything to make him leave. In the end, it would do no good though, she realized. What she really needed was a lovely, calming cup of coffee. The caffeine might make her feel less aggravated toward the man.

The pair entered the kitchen and Bobbi set about working the coffee maker. This was her priority. She could hear him prattling away in the background. Something about a healthy breakfast and making sure she got enough nutrients and blah blah blabbity blah. "Yeah, kay, thanks mom," she responded to him darkly.

"You have half an hour before we start training. Meet me in the training room. Each minute of lateness means you run that many miles." There was a sadistic grin on his stupid face.

"Make me," she huffed as she dumped coffee beans into the grinder. She didn't hear his response over the sound of the machine meticulously cutting up the life-giving kernels. Stopping it she poured the grounds into the filter. As she removed the pot to fill it with water she said, "Sorry, didn't quite catch that." And as he started speaking she turned on the faucet. Quite suddenly a hand reached over her head and turned off the flow of water. His shadow lay dark over her. Bobbi dared not move.

"I will not play these games with you, little miss. You now have twenty-five minutes. See you." His shadow left and she turned only to find empty space and his footsteps moving down the corridor. She sighed and rubbed a hand over her face before starting up the water again.

"Fuckwad," she grumbled, pouring the water into the coffee maker, replacing the pot, and pressing the start button. A voice came over the intercom, telling her she had to be in some briefing meeting bullshit. "Fuck yeah, no training." Her mood was starting to brighten. It was going to have to wait until she'd at least had a cup. Bobbi would arrive late to the meeting, a cup of coffee in hand, and looking rather bored with the whole process as she would plop down in a chair.

As he walked down the hall he sighed. What a fucking shit show this was. Not X-Factor, no. It was Bobbi. The girl had a special talent for getting under his skin and making him lose his cool. A rare and unfortunate thing to be able to do. He paused before the common area, considering joining fellow teammates in idle chatter and togetherness. At least he wouldn't have to deal with a sharp tongue from most of them. However, he was kept from entering the room when the voice came over the intercom.

Well shit. That was going to cut into Bobbi training time. She would have to do it when they returned from whatever mission the powers that be thought fit to send them on. He backtracked a bit before entering the briefing room and taking a seat. THough she seemed not to notice him, he gave Belladonna a slight nod of hello/acknowledgment. He glanced at his watch and began the count down to Bobbi being late and then how late she would be. Evelyn entered and he mumbled a greeting of, "Morning."

He became a bit distracted from his time keeping project when in burst the tall Irish girl, brimming with energy. He had to smile at her enthusiasm for murder. She was an odd little duck. "Mayhaps we will be protecting someone instead. Or building homes in a third world country," he offered in his deep baritone. Obviously they would not be doing such things, however, he liked to be contrary now and again. "Not killing would be an interesting change of pace, don't you think?" His tone was light and teasing.

Gambit became distracted by Casper's entrance and Bobbi made an attempt to swing the hammer at his head. It was caught though and a sharp punch was delivered straight to her own noggin. Dropping the hammer, she stumbled back a couple of paces as she held her head. She turned bright green eyes on her new attacker, Rogue. She made a strange snarling noise as she launched herself at Rogue who promptly put her into a half-nelson. Bobbi struggled and growled and after a few beats started to calm down.

As she came back to herself and with her body relaxing, Rogue let her go. Bobbi rubbed her face and looked around confusedly. "I... that was... I'm so sorry," she said softly. With a proper amount of sheepishness, she went to retrieve her hammer. Once it was in her hands she turned to the others and felt something, besides her moment of insanity, was very off. Her brows furrowed as she asked, "What's going on?"

Seconds ticked on and the scene around her only grew to a more heightened, emergent frenzy. But her eyes kept locked on the movements of the attackers of the palace. Here. There. Opening. Closed. Mona sipped her cider again, no sense in having a dry throat just because these asshats were drying out other people's throats. Ah. There. A particular vampire was near her person and she swiftly flicked the stone sphere toward him. Unfortunately, this did not go as planned.

She must have positioned her hand incorrectly but rather than hitting the creep, it instead landed upon the food table. In a single moment, the table and all of the delicacies that lay upon it were in raging flames. Mona's heart fell and she wanted to cry. All of that food. Gone. It was a sad day to be certain. Rather than spend too much time on this she rounded on the vampire, more annoyed now than she had been at the beginning of this fight.

Downing the last of her cider she marched forward. With a toss of the cup into the flames, she was upon the man who dared not be currently burning. She blamed him for this waste of food. She reached out a slim, small hand and clasped his wrist. He looked down at her, their eyes locked, and she used Grasp to ensnare his mind. "It would be doin' tha right t'ing to walk inta them flames. Be a gift ta us, it would." When she spoke her voice had an odd inflection and undercurrent to it as the Magyk entwined itself with her speech. The creature nodded numbly, broke from her grasp and went to lay on the burning table. "G'boy," she said with satisfaction. Her eyes now sought out her next target, a new marble in her grasp.

It was well into the morning and Wes simply couldn't let his charge sleep any longer. If she was going to have any sort of chance at a normal life among people she was going to have to adhere to a more normalized schedule. He moved down the hall to Bobbi's door. She had managed to find a sticker of a "DO NOT ENTER" road sign to slap on the outside. She had not been allowed to have a lock on her door for obvious reasons and so this was the best she could do.

Wes rapped gently on the door. No answer. He knocked again, much more loudly this time. Still no answer. He had given her plenty of time and so opened it. Inside was dark but the light through the curtained windows illuminated just enough that he could make out a blanket lump on the bed. "Good Morning Mis Barabara," he called as he entered the room. There was a loud groan from the lump. "Time to get up and join our teammates. Come along, up you get." He pulled the blankets from her. She held on tightly but eventually gave up. Instead, she pulled one of her pillows over her head.

Clicking his tongue he removed the pillows as well. Bobbi graced him with a scowl that could have melted paint. "Shower and dress, time to be up."

"The only things getting me out of this bed is either some coffee or some dick. And you only got one of them things, which I would safely guess ain't on offer." She spoke with venom in her voice though it lightened as she smiled. Glad the room as dark, Wes could feel his face flush. The man had been in the military for quite a large portion of his life, how this girl managed to get under his skin like that and embarrass him was a mystery.

"Correct, but coffee can be found in the kitchen. I will dump you out of this bed if you don't get up on your own."

"Just like being back at rehab," she said dully and got up of her own volition. Bobbi went to the bathroom and took her sweet time getting ready. She knew the man would wait for her to ensure she didn't just climb back into the bed. She emerged from the bathroom in only what God had given her and she noted with delight the way Wes pointedly kept his eyes on his feet. What a dork. He'd even gone so far as to make her bed. Once dressed in a pair of blue jeans, a Metallica t-shirt, and her usual boots she applied her dark make-up and was ready to greet the day.

She and Wes made their way down to the kitchen, though she assured him she was a big girl and could find the way on her own. He said something about making sure she ate real food and not just some coffee. The guy took his job far too seriously.
