So, plus what?

More efficient. Why reach in and remove a tumor when you can change it so that it's impotent? Not that that's necessarily possible, but the same applies to the Sevenfold Covenant. We don't waste energy, time, or risk to do things in the natural way. Instead, we make the unnatural way natural so that--well, the body fixes itself.

It's hot.

Minus the hot part.

It's less direct.

But it can also do more damage more easily.

If magic is a surgery, what is this?

If magic is a surgery, then the Sevenfold Covenant is... say, laser surgery. It's... more precise. Cleaner.
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

Surgery is magic. What then?

Should I be making analogies between magic and surgery?
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

I meant an analogy, not a description of how it's done.

I'm confused.
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

Sure. Kidney removal.

I guess an arbitrary magic would do much the same thing as you'd do in the surgery. There'd be no need for cutting open the side; teleportation would move the kidney. If you're supposed to cut out the kidney, then I suppose it would also do some precise cutting in order to sever the kidney.
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

Okay, what's a surgery you know?

Kidney removal.
<Snipped quote by Efficacy>

You don't; you perform a skin graft. You operate on skin.

So, how? Do you remove the skin and put the new skin in? Or am I understanding what a skin graft is wrong?
