“Vision? What do you know about my vision? My vision would turn your world upside-down,
tear asunder your illusions and the sanctuary of your own ignorance crashing down around you.
Ask yourself… are you really ready to see that vision?”

INTERACTIONS: Lee Walsh; The Table

Yvonne quietly sipped from her glass of beer as she carefully listened to Lee speak about his experiences as one of Hollywood's hottest A-listers; although she certainly couldn't relate to most of what the man had gone through since he'd gained a bit of success, she could empathize with him. Yvonne was no stranger to having people stick their noses into her business, but it must've been a lot more frustrating having to deal with it at all times. When Lee apologized for making Yvonne his "life-line," the young woman simply shook her head and waved her hand. "No, it's totally fine," she assured him, "I probably would've done the same thing if I was in your situation. You needed to find a way to... escape. I get it." By this time, Yvonne had finished her beer, and decided against signaling the bartender for another. After all, she had yet to eat dinner, and was wise enough to know better than to drink a copious amount of alcohol on an empty stomach.

Soon after, Lee asked about what Yvonne did for a living, but before she could fill him in on the bland details of her own life, an announcement was made from the front of the ballroom. Turning around in the stool, Yvonne spotted a large, balding man standing upon the stage; the orchestra had stopped playing their music, which grabbed the attention of most of everyone else at the bar. “In fifteen minutes your dinner will be served," the man said as he adjusted his thick framed glasses, "Please be sure to be seated at your appropriate table. Once 6:00 pm hits our head honcho and CEO will make an announcement.”

"Well, I guess that's our cue. We should go grab our seats before they start serving dinner," Yvonne said as she stood from her seat and smoothed the wrinkles out of her dress, "It was nice... catching up with you, Lee," Yvonne said to the man with a small grin before turning on her heel and making her way back to her designated table.

Yvonne arrived just in time to hear a woman she'd spotted earlier mention something about working as a mortician; the young woman couldn't help but shudder at the thought of working over dead bodies for a living. As she placed her purse on the back of the chair and took her seat, Yvonne listened as a few of the people at her table began to make their introductions. "I'm Yvonne King... from Harlem," she said when she got the chance, "By day, I'm an art history professor. But by night... well, I'm a painter. A struggling artist, I guess you could call me." Her last few words were directed more towards Lee; she figured that she'd use that as the chance to answer his previous question.

INTERACTIONS: Ziggy Haze, Julius Gardener, and Ylva Ulven

As soon as Ziggy mentioned that he was in screenwriting, Venus felt a corner of her lips tug up into a small, half smile. "Yeah, I hope so. I haven't really had much of an opportunity to shoot anything since I've been here, so it would be fun working with you," the young woman said before returning her attention to the newest addition to their little group. She watched with a raised eyebrow as the fiery redhead quickly made her way back towards the food table; she returned just a few moments later with a plate full of snacks and a can of beer. It was then that Venus decided that she should probably do the same; her stomach growled in anticipation as she eyed Ylva's waffle. But soon, after realizing that she could barely keep her eyes open let alone move from her spot on the couch, Venus decided that she would just wait for Ziggy's friend to drag over his red wagon full of chicken wings, po-boy sandwiches and sex dolls. "I'm Venus, by the way," the young woman introduced herself to Ylva, "Or just Vee... It doesn't really matter to me."

"Guess he's not handling them too well?" Ylva said, and Venus was suddenly reminded of Julius's presence near the couch. It was then that she realized he had not said much after they broke the news to him; taking a quick glance at the blonde haired boy, Venus saw that he'd eaten a good portion of the pizza that Ziggy had passed up. And although the boy had finally begun to form a couple of sentences directed towards Ylva, Venus could tell that the brownie was already starting to have an effect on him. Soon, Julius was asking the newcomer about her hair; this almost immediately earned him a witty response from the young woman, causing Venus to crack a smile. She could already tell that she was going to like her.

"I like your hair, girl. It's real..." Venus let her voice trail off as she sunk further down into the couch, struggling to find the right word in the fog that was her mind. "Unique."
