Yay, more interest! I'm adding a little note, shortly, to Animal. Something I feel should be noted
Cease Fire

“Well, this got a bit out of hand.”

Draza had a pained smile upon her face. She was scared, her little heart was pounding, her arm was somewhere between numb and throbbing horribly. She knew she was hurt, it was pretty evident. The large chunk of structure inside of her had made that very clear for her.

She didn’t really know what was going on. She hadn’t really been in combat before like this. She’d been certainly near combat, but never in it. Everything seemed to move so numbly and slowly. It was almost like it wasn’t real, as if it were some piece of fiction and she was but a character within it.

Gahrul’s voice snapped her out of her almost trance-like state.

“None hurt Draza!”

Oh that big lug, he hadn’t a clue. To be fair, Draza barely had a clue herself. She knew there were arrows, and was still unsure if what was in her was one or not. It didn’t feel like an arrow, but then again, what does an arrow feel like?

“Gahrul?” She spoke, a bit more clear than her muted mumblings earlier, “You’re really strong. I’m glad you’re my friend.”

Gahrul, for his own stance of mind, only now registered that Draza had indeed been hurt. Mixed thoughts of failure and unbridled rage soared and filled his brain. He turned towards the nearest thing that looked like an enemy and roared, lifting a foot and stomping it down before looking like he had the dangerous intent of charging and crushing the injured Papacy fighters.

“Gahrul, no!”

Draza had little understanding of what was going on, but she certainly didn’t want more unnecessary damage to go on. The screams and crunching from earlier speeding up in a burst of static in her mind, “Less smash, I’m not the only one hurt. Others can handle the rest, your strength would be better helping get people to safety.”

Gahrul want smash. There is no denying this. But Draza was talking such words to him, and he want Draza happy too. So, in his mind, Gahrul only has two options. Gahrul can smash and have to have mad Draza say things that will make him cry like little girl in sorriness, or Gahrul can not smash. Gahrul hates such tough choices in life.

The look of pouting on his face was evident, “Won’t smash,” his tone, dejected. Draza walked over, and with her good arm hugged his leg, “Good, let’s help someone then.”

And, so they did.
Gahrul is the best.

I'm interested, if you still need people.

As, having been around the guild for a while, I anticipate only a minority of those who express interest to actually stay around to play, I'm always looking for more people at this early of a stage. Your interest is greatly appreciated!

Hmm, I'd like to give this a try. I may need a little more guidance when the time comes (I'm a learn-as-I-do type) but I think I get the idea.

Needing guidance is fine! The basis for this was a tabletop system that I was more than willing to do a ton of work to help people out on, and I don't think that part of my behaviour has changed too much converting it to this :p

This is an interesting concept.

Mechanically-speaking, is this going to be a game where we are given choices and that is what our post declares? Which choice we make? Or how exactly do you want this to be played?

For the most part, it will be played as a normal RP. The rolling I'll be doing based on your mechanics (which you don't get to see~) will only come into play on one of two circumstances when a player is writing a post.

1- you do something that involves like, a power. Like, you have Thunder, and you want to throw a bolt of lightning. In such a case, all you really have to do is tell me what divine power or skill you want to do, and I'll see what your result is, give you the basics, and you run with the rest. This may happen multiple times per post. Although, in such cases....

2- You're under a lot of duress. Things are going down and your character isn't able to necessarily be calm. Perhaps you're in the middle of a big fight, chase, or trying to out wordplay a silver tongued trickster. In such cases where your abilities are being pushed, I would request that you and I (and maybe others as necessary) do a collab post.

Those are the two main times during player posts. Of course, during GM posts I know exactly when and what mechanics need to go on for the actions, and you don't really need to worry about then.

That said, if we're not really able to get together for a collab, something can be worked out so you're not just idle. Actually, the 'choose what you do' thing may be the optimal course of action in such cases.

Welcome to Ragnarok, a story about demigods in the modern era trying desperately to avert the titular event from happening. The story will unfold through a series of quests of increasingly grave circumstances as Ragnarok gets closer and closer. Do not feel, though, that this means you need to rush through them. Ragnarok isn’t on a ticking clock, it’s based on events that will happen on their own time.

For each primary mission, you will be given a basic objective, and moved to an area where you will then be able to approach the quest how you wish. Rare will it be that there’s only one right way to approach an objective. Creativity will be rewarded, but stupidity under creativity’s guise will not.

Ragnarok is the doom of the gods, and so overconfidence or simply poor decisions can and will sometimes result in either PC or NPC death. Usually, it will be all your fault if something bad happens.

Also, any particulars you want to note from their meeting of Hugin and Munin to their arrival at Runes and Things.
Parent Gender: If you have a clear preference to being the child of a Goddess or child of a God, please say here. This is the extent of your control of who your divine parent is, and you are free to waive it and just get whomever.

Awh, while I had more interest in your Scion game(s), sure, you have my interest for this.

Implying that I'm not going to compare relative interest, this vs that, and do the one that gets the most interest? Yes you can vote for both being a thing you're okay doing.

I've been wanting to run an Aztec themed fantasy RP for some time (as those who know my love of their mythology can attest). I decided to help push this forward, make a very simple system, using the schematics of an Apoc World Hack to do so. It's mythically based, taking place in a rebooted world after everything died again with the end of the last sun and horrible earthquakes that tore the continents apart into more disjointed landmasses. Blood sacrifice is empowering both to yourself, and to the gods who are busy trying to not let the world die again. 6th time's the charm, right?

Rolls are 2d6+modifier. Always. No other roll type. Moves are based on the narrative, you don't just say you're 'I Exchange Blows with the Highwayman' you say 'I charge up to the Highwayman and begin to beat the shit out of him with my mace' or something, and then that has me (not you) roll for it.

There are no critical failures, there are no critical successes.

A result of 2 to 6 is considered a Miss (sometimes denoted as 6-) this means that if you did end up doing what you wanted to do, it will be at some sort of cost. A lot of cost, usually.
A result of 7 to 9 is a Soft Hit (denoted commonly as 7-9), this means you get to do what you wanted although not super great, or at some sort of cost.
A result of 10 or higher (denoted as 10+) means that you did great, you did as good at that thing as you can do.

Let's use Live Dangerously as the example move, the situation being trying to pick a lock to get through a door and get into a room you think you can hide in.

On 10+, you get into the room, no problem, plenty of time to hide in there.
On 7-9, you may get the lock open, but it makes a noise alerting others that you're over near this room.
On 6-, you may get into the room, only to notice that there's more bad guys on the other side of the door.

As you see, in all cases, you get the lock open, so you don't fail. The door is unlocked, no case had you simply unable to unlock the door. But, on rolls under 10+, you begin to have bigger issues that come with having unlocked that door to the room. The purpose of this is to remove roadblocks that may occur on a fail. Failure doesn't stop the action, failure adds more action and things and options and danger!

And so, yeah, that's my spiel. Lemme know if you're interested!

It's the person's choice to choose to end their own lives. Selfish, in that their pain isn't eliminated, it's merely passed on to those around them who will grieve their passing, but ultimately... If a person, after an extended duration of time (that is, more than a simple emotional outburst) cannot deal with life and wishes to end their own life, especially in cases with the highly disabled or the elderly... Then it is equally selfish to tell those people that they are not allowed to end their own lives because it might hurt you.

EDIT

As for those bringing in "you're ruining God's plans" into the mix: God, if you believe he exists, is omnipotent and omniscient. He planned for suicide. If he didn't, he's not omniscient, or omnipotent.

As someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts from time to time, I agree. It's definitely selfish to commit suicide, and hurts others, but in cases where it's more like euthanasia then I'm for them getting to say "I want to die now". Quality of life is something to take into account when it comes to such thoughts, and if it's really not there... then yeah. Let them. It is selfish to deny them peace if they're suffering because you don't want to be bummed.

Edit: And really, this just gets into how society and cultures view death as well. With all the mourning. I personally find that response to death to be lame. If a good person dies, let there be a celebration, not of their passing, but of the life they lived. If a bad person dies, let there also be a celebration, because they're gone and can't do more bad things. Celebrate life, celebrate death, more parties less moping.

This is also why I don't want a traditional funeral when I die. Either throw a party and have fun, or do nothing. If you feel you need to mourn, don't do too much of it. Get it out of your system, then crack a smile and get on with your life.

Also, that 'don't speak ill of the dead' thing is bullshit.
