Liz, early twenties, big city. I work in editorial, so I guess that means I know how to write. Hah! I literally bleed the Chicago Manual of Style. It haunts me. That said, not a grammar purist, like, this is the internet, whatever, follow your heart. I am p friendly and like to talk. I'm also an optimist and an adult and have zero patience for childish shenanigans and gratuitous angst.
Fandoms: love Marvel, Mass Effect, and Image. Did I mention Mass Effect? Commander Shepard: life goals, or wife goals? (I haven't played the third game yet).
I also like pirates, and space, and space pirates. I also like magic, especially urban and post-apocalyptic magic, subtle magic like GRRM does in GoT, or Tamora Pierce in Circle of Magic. Dystopias . . . I can do dystopias. If there are monsters. Basically, hit me with the super-intense action, lots of snark, and characters who can't keep themselves together but still manage to be upbeat, and survive, and keep going. By leaning on each other. By learning from each other.
Oh look, I've got sappy. Hit me up and let's do some fighting!
Gina biked past Alfie's every day on her afternoon bike ride. The detour added an extra five miles onto her route, but she considered that a good thing. Not that she ever actually rang the doorbell, only made a few loops around the building and stopped for a drink of water before continuing on home. It was about 1:00; it would take her an hour to get home. Jack and Christa had demanded she get home early so that they could properly get ready for prom. Gina hated things like prom, but for her friends, she supposed she could do anything. Besides, she had been banned from the MMA gym until her fingers healed and she rethought her decision to punch Lucas until he passed out.
She wondered if Alfie had any plans. Her gut told her no, and before she knew what she was doing she had biked up to the door and pressed the bell.
Hi there! I'm interested in any roleplay involving pirates, and I'd love to try something based on mermaids set in the Supernatural world, though I've only watched like, ten episodes.
I have a Mass Effect x Dead Space x Star Gate roleplay plot that I think you would definitely approve of. Logline: A large civilian spaceship is invaded by a mysterious entity. Captain Elizabeth, cold, hard and reckless, evacuates all aboard except herself, intending to go down with her ship. Her childhood friend and [head engineer, head doctor, pilot] won't let her, and together, with the help of their sassy AI, they have to survive.
Gina panicked when the boy shifted his weight to lean against her and exchanged a panicked looked with Jack. He nodded, encouraging her until she awkwardly wrapped her big arms around the boy and gently rubbed his back.
"Um, you're welcome? Take all the time you need, um, I .... don't know your name." She patted him once more and let her hand rest there. She wasn't really the best with words or gentleness.
I'm cool either way, and I'm cool with doubling (or even tripling, quadrupling) up and adding NPC-type side characters. And they don't have to fit! Clashing characters are even more fun.
We can share plot ideas here or PM, let me know. As I mentioned, I had a good one for Gilgamesh's master that could probably be adapted to OCs, though I don't know my ancient myths and legends as well as the creators of Fate do.
