Onhiel

Deity of Calamity

Indirect, or Direct: Onheil maintains a direct relation to his followers, most see him as their god king.

Appearance: Onhiel appears to his followers as a middle aged man, in his early forties. His once brown hair nearly grey, his eyes are golden, like wheat fields on a sunny day. He has an average build of a man who spent his entire life on the road. His face carries laugh lines and crows feet. Often he wears an old traveling cloak, with trousers and old leather boots patched repeatedly.

To other gods he's a well built man, his hair mostly brown with a streak of grey running down the side. He adorns a simple tunic covered by a silver chest plate, trousers covered by silver greaves, and silver vambraces. His feet covered by plated boots. His once worn cloak, white.

Personality: As the god of Calamity, he's always the calm before the storm. Though when set off he's as swift as lightning and as destructive as a hurricane.

Ebir

Population: 195,900

Denizens: A hardy people who live near the mountains They use the horse as their symbol, and are adept riders, and better horse back archers. They are ruthless to outsiders and construed as blood thirsty savages. They adorn clothing made from the animals they hunt. They tend to migrate south for winters and north for the summers. In the south lays the only permanent settlement a fortress city that lay nearly in ruin.

Government: A council of elders often makes decisions when Onheil isn't present. Though when he is they head his every word.

Military is made up of the men of the Ebir. They often wear the bones of the fallen warriors, to spread fear through out the enemy ranks. They work in two groups, the Lancers and Archers. The military is incredibly fluid while on horse back, and can often move as a near single entity.

Lancers are equipped with twelve foot lances, leather armor, and helms made from the bones of their enemies. They carry short swords and knives as well. Their horses have the bones of their enemy as well included into their armor. Sometimes they use the skulls of stags or other animals to make mock helms for the horses.

The archers wield re-curved long bows, and are incredible shots from horse back as well as foot. They have short swords and knives as well. They wear padded armor as well as leather vambraces. They frequently incorporate enemies skulls, rib cages arms, legs, and back bones into the armor on their horses. As is tradition.

The culture of the Ebir is to survive the harsh winters, the terrible summer storms. But to also celebrate life because all beings are important. They believe that each animal killed, or enemy slain brings them closer to their God King Onhiel. They have large festivals in the fall, and spring. The fall for the coming of winter to show their loyalty to Onhiel, and the spring to thank him for their survival.

They often sacrifice the blood of stags, and their enemies to Onhiel as well as pray to him often for guidance.

Yep!@Lauder
Sweeeeet, I've got it up in the actual nation RP if you want to post sheets there @OppositionJ

In the beginning there was nothing, but the void. There was no time, no being, no beginning or end. Eventually the void gained a sentience, and found that its existence was empty. After sentience it found that instead of nothing it was the fabric of everything. Using the fabric of itself it created a ball. With a thought the ball became solid and it floated, the void gazed upon its creation. The first time since awakening it was happy. Gazing upon its creation left it content, but the loneliness was still burning in its soul. Cutting off a quarter of its body, it crafted Ten beings. Each one was special. The void placed them on its orb, everyone was happy. The ten were happy, and the void was happy. Together, they created time. Measuring how long they existed. Soon the ten felt the orb was empty, they asked for the ability to craft things for themselves. The void cut a strip of its fabric and gave one to each of the beings. With the fabric the first two crafted great oceans that engulfed the orb, the waves endlessly crashing. Two more became envious of the creation they had made. They crafted large mountains under the water which erupted with fire and brimstone, continuously spurting lava, and land rose above the waves. This caused the other six to craft their own things. Two made the trees of the forests, two made the rivers that flowed through the lands. The last two looked to the void a feeling of duty caused them to craft delicate patterns into the fabric of the void, creating the stars so that the void knew it was loved in return. As time flowed everything was right there was no commotion, there was no fighting, or longing. They perfected their cycles, each being balancing the next one.

The land claimed the ocean, the trees covered the land, the rivers split the forests, and the oceans slowly ate away at the old earth and returned it to the sea. The stars faintly illuminated the orb. The void looked on with awe at how its creations all lived together. After ages had passed, forest had died, the land had crumbled, the rivers dried, and the oceans receded. The ten grew tired of the endless cycle and they wished for light so they could gaze upon their creation while they also wanted beings of their own which could love them as they loved the void. The void was tired and had little strength, its fabric had slowly become less and less. It ripped itself in half curling it into another orb. Pushing as many of the glowing dots from its own fabric and onto this new orb it created its own star which lit its original creation. Again it split itself in half, giving the remainder of its sentience to its creations, its love showing no bounds, the void fell back and was only static. The fabric allowed each of their creations to craft their own nearly omnipotent beings. Each one created their own individual creations, trying to out do their brethren to impress the void. But only after they had finished did they notice that their creator was no longer present, they left their creations with one order and it was to coexist until they could return. After that they combined their strength to search what remains of the infinite void to find their creator.

Here you take the role of of a god created by the ten, you create your denizens, you inhabit the lands that you inherited. Lead them to peace or gain glory through conquest.

Haha! I worked along time on it! Also, since you're a claimant of god of the oceans you can decide!

@Willy Vereb@ArenaSnow@Legion02

So i did decide to do a Medieval theme fantacy NRP I hope you're all interested.

You take the role of a god, I think its been done before but I tried to make it a little different.

roleplayerguild.com/topics/88536-the-s.. Here is the RP in nation interest
Thats fine, as far as I can see NRP's are super slow
@ArenaSnow
I was thinking maybe some fantasy would be needed too, I was bumbling around older RPs. I had a super lame day at work so I'll try and get the opening post plus char sheet up in a couple hours, I just need to in take some much needed alcohol. @Willy Vereb

I also don't mind medieval era guns, my original idea was to have each post be like five years or maybe like ten years or something so that the advent of guns would come around.

@ArenaSnow I get your point and its not a bad idea.
