Private Elise Louque

Elise had eaten too slowly and been left with the darcsen of the group, only to have a superior officer recruit both herself and the darcsen to the same squad. Oh that was just great. She should have left instead of answering him. She’d been about to get up and leave, but now that would be complicated. If she disobeyed a direct order from a superior she’d get in more trouble than any darcsen was worth, not that they were worth much to begin with.

“Yes, sir.” Elise said with a cold tone, as she stared in front of herself and gripped the tray hard. She got up from the table after he’d finished speaking, placed her dishes with the others and left the mess hall. Hopefully the enemy would be aiming for the darcsens so she wouldn’t have to deal with any for long. She didn’t want to think about how that might end.

She quickly retrieved her few belongings from the barracks, then got her sniper rifle and headed towards the garage where she had been told an APC would be waiting. Elise climbed into the APC and waited for the others to arrive, but didn’t say much once they had or when the APC begun to move away from the base. There’d be time to get to know some of them later. At the moment she was in a bad mood due to the sudden, random deployment with undesirables.
@Raafling How's it going?
Avani noticed Kasai glancing at her phone, seemingly nervous or unsure about something. She didn’t comment on it though, and when Kasai turned to look in her direction she acted like nothing was out of the ordinary. There certainly wasn’t anything out of the ordinary in a negative way, even if having enough money to make a longer journey with her girlfriend was a very special occurrence for her. That she had a girlfriend she wanted to do it with was rather rare in itself. Avani would try her best to make Kasai forget all about her life in Republic City, and just enjoy their time together.

“Cheers.” She took the other glass, raised it and downed the contents in one swing. “I figure we’ll spend some time in the earth kingdom at first, since it’s the closest… and I’ve got relatives there.” Avani wasn’t sure whether she should have mentioned that, but it should be obvious to a cop without her mentioning it. It wasn’t like they needed to visit them, perhaps it was for the best if they didn’t. There was plenty to do in the earth kingdom regardless.

“That would indeed be packing light.” Avani responded with a grin. “Maybe I should just pack a whip and some toys if you’re feeling that frisky?” She joked. “Really though, I think the basics would include a tent and food. Maybe some survival gear, or tools, but I don’t know much about that. Don’t they teach you stuff like that as a cop?”

She moved closer to Kasai, picked up the bottle and drank some from it. “Have you ever done anything like this with anyone before?” Avani giggled, and shrugged, as she kind of knew the answer before asking the question. “Here’s to us either way.” She drank from the bottle again before handing it to Kasai. “Let’s hope nothing too bad happens.”

Back to packing for now though, Avani wanted to be out of Republic City by the end of tomorrow if not earlier. It felt doubtful that the reporter would have finished her article by then, but she’d warned Kasai what would happen if she refused to come with her. Avani would just have to put her words into action in that case.

She stepped into the bedroom to grab some of her clothes. If they were going to be roughing it like Kasai had expressed it, there were certain clothing items that she didn’t want or could bring with her. Ruining her finest clothes because there she wouldn’t be returning soon was unnecessary.
Engel is one of my favourite songs by Rammstein. I like how it means the opposite of what one would think at first in that context. It's fairly recent though. I go by a unique name on most other sites, but started changing that when I realized it might be too unique and good as most search results on it was me.
Private Elise Louque

Elise hadn’t expected the military to want her back. She’d finished her training, and more or less assumed that would be it. Yet here she was, waiting to be sent out into the field and join one of the active squads fighting in the war. She hadn’t been told much, but why else would they bring her back? Maybe one of the husbands she’d angered had powerful contacts. Well, it didn’t matter much either way in the end, for now she’d enjoy exercising with other women and all that came with that.

However, it was time for her to eat so she’d made her way to the mess hall. After grabbing a tray and getting her food, Elise took a seat at one of the tables where people were already seated. The food seemed better than what she remembered, but it was doubtful it would remain the same out on the battlefield. As she ate she listened in on the conversations around her, and before long she had added her voice to one of them. Would she be serving with any of these people? Elise had been told stories about how soldiers didn’t like making friends sooner or later, because they’d seen too many of their old ones die. People did die in war, she knew that, but she didn’t want to shut herself off from the world because of it. Besides, she might be the person who ended up dead.
Chrome met a surprisingly small amount of resistance as she progressed further into the mine. There were obvious signs that people had been there recently, but posts were abandoned in a rush. She could hear the sound of echoing footsteps moving away from her, deeper into the mine. Presumably they were gathering all their forces at the most defensible positions. A rather clever move for a corporation, she thought, but in the end it would yield the same result as if they had had their troops spread out throughout the tunnels.

The few grunts who got in her way were cut down swiftly, blood splattering the rock walls, as she’d unstrapped her yoyo and begun using it. She’d become bored with chasing down the enemies fleeing into the depths, and made it into a game of sorts. Chrome had years of experience with her chainsaw yoyo so she’d learnt a number of tricks along the way. Some of the elaborate ones required a lot of finesse and accuracy, but could destroy weapons or sever limbs. She’d even used it as a rope or grappling hook when the need arose. The best trick was still one of the simplest - just aiming for the eyes. It blinded most instantly, and kept spinning away until their skulls were cracked open if she didn’t remove it.

Swinging the yoyo around in a loop with her hand, she walked with a casual stride past crates and didn’t register the threat at first. The depletion of her shields was hard to miss though, and she turned to look in the general direction she thought the bullet had been fired from. It couldn’t be a grunt, since she’d killed the slow ones. That left the unidentified third party from earlier. Shame, she’d assumed the individual had given up or died in the blast.

“Miss!” Chrome shouted in their direction, but then she noticed the minor tear in her beautiful shirt, right across the chest. The shield must have deflected it. She rolled her eyes. “Too distracted to aim properly, dude?” She crossed her arms over her chest, and stood motionless for a brief moment. “Wanna give it another go?”

Of course, she wasn’t going to wait around for the man to actually fire another bullet at her, especially not with her shields down and recharging. Instead, she ducked behind a cave wall. What now? Chrome had to think of another strategy to deal with the sniper, one that didn’t include getting shot at while she closed the distance between them. Close combat was her forte, so naturally far-off snipers presented more of a threat.

She considered waiting them out, but patience had never been one of her traits and she was already bored after dealing with grunts too incompetent to put up a proper fight. The yoyo was reattached to her belt, and she grabbed the assault rifle. There was nothing specific to fire at until the sniper had given up their position though. “How about you stop being a coward, and show yourself?” Maybe provoking them would work. It shouldn’t be underestimated how well provoking someone could work with certain people. “Or would you rather take peep shots?”
It's fine. I usually just post fast cause I've nothing to do, it'd probably change if I got a job or something.
Name: Elise Louque
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Appearance:

Rank: Private
Class: Sniper

Weapons and Equipment: GSR-10, Ragnaid.

Personality: Outgoing, sly, disciplined and independent. Elise can be quite the talker when she's in a safe environment, and enjoys the company of others, especially the ladies. On the battlefield she's the complete opposite though, and can switch between social butterfly to silent sniper like nothing. It’s often difficult to know whether she’s actually in the battle or not due to how adept she has become at disappearing. It’s happened that she’s used it to her advantage if she wants to be alone too. When Elise first joined the military and underwent training she was somewhat rebellious, questioning orders or sometimes acting by her own judgement, but she prefers to see it as independence now.

Bio: Elise grew up in a small village in the east, where she lived out the first years of her life in peace. There wasn’t much that happened in the village. People went about their lives without much ambition or care for the world, and if Elise had been older she probably would have left it behind earlier. She never realized how terrible reality could be until she turned seven. Her mother was killed in an imperial darcsen hunt that ended up passing through their village, even though she wasn’t a darcsen herself. Elise’s mother tried to protect some of the darcsen’s in the village, and was killed for it. The change in her father was abrupt, and while the whole family mourned he openly began to blame the darcsen for his wife death. Elise was young and easily influenced by the words of her father whom she looked up too, so she began to think the same way.

Her teens began and went by without any similar incidents, thankfully, even if coming to terms with the fact that her sexuality was different from most other’s was a battle in itself. Once she turned twenty she moved to Randgriz, where she volunteered for the army and underwent
training. Her superior officers figured she would make an excellent sniper one day, due to her keen eyesight and discipline. The years spent living in Randgriz was much more enjoyable than it had been for here in her home village, but unfortunately that changed when the war broke out.

RP sample: “No, no, no… He’s already home!?” A feminine voice called out, giving her a rude awakening. It took a moment for Elise to realize where she was, and what the meaning of the words were. Once she did, she sat up in the bed as if shocked. It was still morning from what she could tell by looking out the window, the sun hadn’t climbed too far across the sky. She had been sleeping on a large, rather comfy bed placed in the middle of a small room that only had one window. The voice that had awakened her belonged to another woman, a cute blonde with freckles.

“You have to hide.” The woman whispered through clenched through teeth to Elise. She was about to reply, but heard approaching footsteps, so instead she gathered all of her clothing and slid under the bed just in time. The door opened and a man greeted his wife with a loving tone. Elise wasn’t sure what her best course of action was, but decided to get dressed and sneak out. She listened to the voices of the couple, while trying to get dressed underneath a bed without making a sound. Part of her was glad she had previous experience of the situation at hand. Part of her hated splinters.

It soon became clear that they weren’t going to be leaving the bedroom anytime soon, and Elise didn’t particularly enjoy the idea that she might be caught by the husband. It’d happened before, sure, but she’d never intentionally meant to cause that result. She started to slide herself out from under the bed, in the direction of the door. Luckily the woman caught onto what she was doing and pulled all of the man’s attention towards herself. Elise made it to the door, turned to wink at last night’s pleasure and exited the house.

I noticed their avatar after I'd picked the picture, wasn't sure whether to keep it or not at that point, haha. I went with sniper for my character because it seemed to be the only class currently missing.
