Age: 34
Occupation: Nun
Bio:
APPEARANCE || As with most, the first place a fickle eye would meet with would be her messy blonde hair, tangled across her shoulders like vines claiming abandoned architecture. Less so, her forehead is crowded by rogue locks, with a few thick bundles covering her dark green eyes on occasion. The eyes themselves, though, are often less free than her hair: focused and jagged, they rarely give away her thoughts. Her nose, small and stubby, sits inferior to her eyes and barely merits a topic of conversation. Her thin lips can often be seen in a stoic expression as if in symphony with her eyes and blank demeanor. Overall, her face shape can best be described as pyramidal, with the chin forming a pseudo-point. Her ears, much like her nose, are uninteresting and usually tucked under a blanket of hair.
Magdalene's body is not at all queer, but rather average... almost dreadfully so. Her weight, 150 pounds, correlates quite well with her height, 5'10", which makes her neither top heavy nor bottom heavy; even her modest B-cup does little to stick out among her ordinary figure. Her posture, however, is often slumped, suggesting a weary self. Her thin arms only further exaggerate her meekness. Her preferred outfit of choice (post-collapse) consists of several parts. The most noticeable of which is a green, button-up jack that has evidently had its hood ripped off, but the region it was once attached to has long since been sewn shut. Further so, several small strands can be seen hanging from it and exposing an obvious age to the ragged jacket. Underneath, Magdalene is almost always wearing a dark red blouse that gives her some reminder of how beautiful clothes used to be. For trousers, she prefers jeans for their simplicity as well as their abundance. Socks: white. Shoes: brown and bland. Nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to her feet.
PERSONALITY || Correlating with her body, her drive is just as simple: to do the best she can with what she has. Indeed, it is her love of a challenge that has made her into a leader in the midst of the apocalypse. This was a trait that’s always been a part of who she is, but with the dead walking, she seems to have taken it to the extreme. As one might guess, this is practically a coping mechanism in disguise but it works well for her, though, you wouldn't be able to tell. On the outside, Magdalene’s airs are usually cold; but on the inside, her mind is in a constant, meticulous state that craves objective: what’s in the boxes? How many boxes are there? Where should we place the boxes? Can we afford to get rid of the boxes? Such linear thinking has done well to distract her from hardships.
If there’s one reaction she can’t hide, though, it’s anger. Her competitive nature implores an automatic respect, and if someone’s found denying that respect, she tends to react poorly. Once someone has made a disdainful mark on her personally, it can make things difficult for the both of them. She may, if a poor defense mechanism is in use, lash out at the cost of something bigger (someone’s life perhaps). On that note, she is rarely in a hands-on mood, preferring to have underlings do the manual labor whilst telling them what to do. One might even call her lazy, but they’d be somewhat wrong. Her preference to labor is of an executive role: masterminding objectives whilst overseeing them being carried out. Additionally, she isn’t particularly fond of going beyond her base of operations, whatever that may be. Again, someone might easily assume something about her, such as being a coward. This time, that person would be more on the correct side. While she has no fear over a quick death by gunfire, she is deeply troubled by the prospect of being devoured alive.
The most common trouble for a former nun in a zombie ridden world? God. Magdalene is constantly at war with herself over what to do. Does she dare do the right thing at the cost of so many lives? Perhaps she should take the darker route for safety… It is a very ambivalent subject to her, and she would rather avoid the topic of morals all together. Still, there are times when considering the rights and wrongs of a decision are unavoidable and it is then that she is most off guard (as in, she may be easily swayed). However, something one should never mention in her presence is that she used to be a nun. Just hearing of the word “nun” can frustrate her since it serves as a reminder of her once holy life.
