That would be interesting, do you think two people could achieve the same results?
I was thinking one per person, maybe a max of two depending on how many people want to join.
She is accepted, but if you want to change her name if you think of something better that's fine. Her name doesn't need to be based off household items, they just usually are. A normal English name (or some other language if you like) is acceptable too.
Dakarai glared at the new Apprentices and reluctantly came forward when the Mentor called for him. "This," the Mentor said and motioned at Dakarai, "Is Dakarai, he will be the Master that oversees your training from this point on." Dakarai said nothing, he simply stared at the group angrily, not daring to voice his protests in the Mentor's presence. "Don't worry about his attitude," the Mentor continued after a moment, glaring at Dakarai momentarily, "It will change soon enough."

Abasi watched as the Mentor introduced Dakarai and couldn't help but smile at the fact Dakarai's position was clearly meant to humiliate him.

The Mentor stood and said "Dakarai, I leave the rest to you." and was accompanied by all the Masters except Dakarai out of the meeting room. Before any of the Apprentices could speak or comment Dakarai turned on them abruptly.

"I will be your master from this point on, you will listen when I speak and though I don't have the power to remove you from the Order I will not go easy on you," He paced he room and glared at them all in turn before speaking again. "Tonight I have been told," Dakarai spat the word, "that I am to accompany you on your first mission. There is a man in the bazaar who has been selling information about us to the Pharaoh's men. We don't know who is giving this information to him but they are meeting tonight and we will kill them both. Come." As soon as Dakarai finished speaking he turned and left the room without giving the Apprentices a chance to ask any questions or collect anything except the equipment they had been given.

Abasi jogged to catch up to Dakarai as he led the small group out of the Order's hideout and through the streets of Cairo at a quick pace, almost as if he were trying to lose them. Abasi struggled to keep pace with the man and asked him several times to slow down but he wouldn't respond. He eventually stopped trying to get Dakarai to speak with him and slowed down and backed off from Dakarai, joining the rest of the group as they kept pace.

A short time later they arrived at the bazaar and Dakarai simply said "He is my height, black hair and green eyes. He will be wearing a brown cloak and will be in a back alley. Go, find and kill him." Once he was done speaking Dakarai turned and vanished into a crowd, probably to observe them from a distance. He gave them so little information that their task seemed impossible but Abasi knew that as unfair as he would be Dakarai would not see the mission fail simply to spite the Apprentices. Would he?

"Where do we start? Just search through back alleys and hope we stumble upon a couple of men talking in secret" Abasi said as he looked at his fellow Apprentices, dumbfounded by what they had been thrust into with so little useful information. "Any ideas?" he asked to nobody in particular.
All right, since nobody else has posted in 24 hours I'll move the story ahead a little bit.
It's no problem, I was hoping you'd be back to join in, I don't like to cut people out of RPs just in case they decide they want to come back.
Duke heard someone behind him shout freeze and he turned to face him. The man seemed relieved for some reason and claimed he thought that Duke was something else. What else could Duke be? A ghost maybe, but that was highly illogical. Ghosts didn't carry backpacks. When the officer asked him his name he bowed slightly and said "I am Baron Duke Lordman Kingsly of Kajhetbarogurenbugh and I am here to expand my territory. Are you the owner of this fine establishment?" Duke asked as he looked around the room and then up through a hole in the ceiling. "I would like to ask your permission to plant my flag in the roof and claim this place for Kajhetbarogurenburgh." Duke dropped his bag with a heavy thud and pulled out a handmade flag. It was just an old bed sheet with a giant "K" drawn on it attached to a broken broom handle.
The OOC is up now. it's here. Sorry for the wait guys, it really didn't take me that long to write up but I was a little busy last nightand had to stop part way through it and didn't get a chance to finish writing it until this morning.
The Smith family have lived in their home at 247 Cherry Tree Lane for fifteen years. Their neighbours are always swapping stories about items going missing in their homes and the children hear stories from their friends about little people living inside the walls of the houses, but the adults don't believe them. The Smiths have never had any problems with their things disappearing, everything is always where they left it and they never have to look for more than a few minutes for anything that gets lost.

The Smith home is soon going to have some Borrowers of its own, the question is: Will they be a tight knit community or will they claim territories and fight amongst themselves over food and resources?

The Smiths

  • Donald Smith: The head of the household Donald works during the day and is usually up later than the rest of the family in the living room watching TV.

  • Harriet Smith: Donald's wife. she is a stay at home mom that spends a lot of time in the kitchen and living room during the day.

  • Julie Smith: Donald and Harriet's daughter. She is thirteen years old and is away at school most days, when she's home she is either in her room or the living room.

  • Harry Smith: Donald and Harriet's son. He is two years old and spends most of his time following his mother around the house or playing in the living room.

  • Fluffy: The Smith family's cat, Fluffy is probably the most dangerous of all, she prowls around the house in search of pests. And Borrowers.

  • Rex: The Smith family's new puppy. He is only a couple months old and spends a lot of time in the house or backyard terrorizing small animals and Fluffy.

House Layout

The backyard has a vegetable garden, a tree with a tree house and a beehive in it and a patio area.
The Front yard has a porch, a flower bed and another tree.

Character Sheet
Name: Names are not like regular English names and are often based on household items, like Pod Clock from the Borrowers novel/film.
Age: Borrowers can live just as long as humans do and age at the same rate.
Appearance: Describe them however you want, keep in mind that Borrowers are about 4 inches tall and wear a patchwork of "borrowed" cloth.
Skills: Up to three, the skills you put here will affect what you can do for yourself and what people need to help you with.
History: What house are they coming from and why are they leaving?

Accepted Characters

Those are both great things to have. If it sounds good to you guys I'll put a skills section in the CS so that characters who are good at something will be able to use that skill to get things from other borrowers. Like if you are good at sewing and someone else is a good climber you can trade some new clothes if theirs are getting old and ruined for something that's up too high for you to reach like some bread from the top shelf.
