Naruto is cool and all but once you start analyzing the anime for an RP you realize all the shortcomings that Kishimoto suffered from. Itachi should've been renamed the Deus Ex Machina Machine.

Instead of being ''fun'' that new members online bar at the top just gives me crippling depression. The number seems so small.

@DiZL ReloadeD perhaps so we can make it more specific, but the Germans used the Sonderkraftfahrzeug. It was usually shortened to Sd.Kfz. Perhaps some useful information.

Some of them were mounted with an AT-rifle that could penetrate some of the lighter tanks that we'd be facing (especially lighter tanks like BT-5's and 7's or so). Just some information.

Oh! And if anyone is looking for a funny vehicle to use the Sd.Kfz. 2 is pretty fun. It's like a motorcycle with tracks. :P
@Frengo I believe everything on the Eastern front was a mistake by Hitler personally, and then his high command. Hitler ordered Paulus to stay and fight when they were literally outnumbered so heavily there was no chance of even a pyhrric victory.

@Lord Coake Well, I'm not sure which is true. I just go by the documents we see which is that Order 227 existed, anything besides that is always going to be doubted by both sides. :P
@Frengo Sounds insane but having read some other stories like this, yes it's plausible. I believe that might've been Stalingrad? The charge across the Wolga to get into the city was usually conscripts being put on a boat, arriving on the city bank and then being pushed.

1 man got ammo, the other got a rifle. The one with the ammo followed the man with the rifle, and when the man with the rifle died, the one with the ammo picked up the rifle and shot the Germans. Factual accuracy of this is debated but it was shown in Enemy at the Gates I believe.
@Frengo Order 227 was executed only in july, Barbarossa started a month before that. I was actually going to include that but I figured it'd be really weird if we simply shifted the date forwads.

But yes the Russians shot their own men if they retreated. Russian morale was REALLY low during the first month, and everyone retreated constantly causing insane losses (even more so because of suicide charges). They used to have a team of 2 men roll up an old Maxim Machine Gun before a charge to 'support' the infantry. Then there were 1 political commisar and some submachine gunners as well, and if they noticed people were running back they'd shoot.

It gave Russians a choice: run towards Germans and try to shoot them and have an 80% chance of dying or run back to the MG and face a 100% chance of death.

I'd pick the 20% chance of winning against the Germans, you know.
Ah. I see.

Subtly telling me to get out then.
@Lord Coake In which case, I'll have Joakim stick with your character. :)

@Claw2k11 From what I understood the hint was for Pavlov to run away from the commander, since 2 soviets versus an army is hardly a fair fight, correct?
@DiZL ReloadeD I don't know man, Russian angled armor is pretty stronk. (Except for the T-34-57 and so on, anything before the 85 was garbage. )
@DiZL ReloadeD Sehr schön, gruß von den siebzehnde bundesland, die Niederlande!

I assume we will be getting rid of this red plague called the Soviet union soon enough aren't we lads.
Very nice. I44 was a huge success even if it was under-played by most clans. I hope the new ARMA3 mod sees more success. And yes, it would complicate things a lot. If you'd need a more accurate translation for tanks, logistical components or weaponry then I could be of help is more what I meant - ranks and such also shouldn't be a problem.

I.E. the smaller things that can be used, rather than entire sentences.
@Frengo Danke schön herr Hauptmann. If you have need of any possible translations into German (I assume you are not German, forgive me if that is incorrect) I might be of service given I am Dutch and therefore am practically German (we are well known to be the unofficial 17th Bundesland.)

I also liked your thread. Is that the I44 mod for ARMA2 or is it the new one that's released for ARMA3?
