I want to send you to Irem, but I think that a place in which all time is simultaneous and everything is in the future tense would be hard to write compellingly about for any length of time.
Looks good enough to me. I look forward to sending you to Grand Geode. Throw that shit in the character tab, make any adjustments you'd like, and maybe I'll get off my lazy ass and actually write a post.

It is going to be nice to have someone much more interested in the more fucking weird parts of the neath
I'll get a post up soon, our new recruit can hop in later. Btw, do you want to choose your first Herculean endeavor in character or out of character? IC might present good rp opportunities, but ooc would likely save a great deal of time
That was the general idea of the latter suggestion. I was thinking training officer for aurors, seeing as I always imagined American mages being ahead of the curve in terms of large-scale magical warfare [because we know the british are fucking awful, at the very least]. As for what his weakness is, I don't know exactly what you mean, but he is a specialist. Soldiers are not known for their vast academic knowledge, for their ability to train magical creatures or maintain advanced magical machinery. Specialists tend to get fucked over when they are doing things outside of their skillset. He is pretty bad at potions [he had his grenades issued by Uncle Sam], poor with magical creatures [he never liked the 1st Cavalry nancies anyways], not book smart nor read up on any history outside military matters. Bad at boormstick flying, a tad jingoistic, fairly unsubtle etc.

If you're looking for serious combat drawbacks, I've got few ideas as to what it would be. Veteran soldiers do not tend to have glaring faults in their combat capabilities: they either died because of them before they rose in rank, or sorted the faults out during their careers. I could come up with something, but I think if serious combat weaknesses are required to play a combatant then I'll find some other niche.

EDIT: Just realized this sounded a little passive aggressive. This is what I get for posting before my first cup of coffee. Sorry bout that
Oh god my desire to play a member of the 1st United States Wizarding Infantry is strong. I can get a sheet up after work, but the general idea would be that he is either on leave, in England on Wizard-NATO business, or some other reason. When he fails to convince the Joint Chiefs of Staff that military intervention is warranted he would take matters into his own hands to fight tyranny like it was 1944.

Stereotypical cowboy with a heart of gold, loves the prairie, his colt, his horse and his banjo. Father was a herder down in Santa Fe who fought in Korea and never was the same. Hates tyranny and the reds, thanks to a spell of service fighting ruskies in the Wizarding Cold War. Proud of his country, flies the Gadsden flag and has near thirty years of service in the armed forces under his belt.
I'll get a sheet up soon, this looks rad
Hey there. This looks fresh to death, and I am interested.
I either missed it or forgot. I only checked the thread once while I was at work, and phone-RPG is the worst. Sorry, I'll get one whipped up right now
