Esper! <3 Well I have a five page final due in my developmental psychology class, a four page paper on values of the school, and a three page final for my first year seminar course. All super easy to write but I think my brain has decided to enter summer mode a week early.

I know the feel. I have 200 pages of material to study and all my brain wants to do is tell me

Esper's goofing off with herself Act I:
"It is time we did some work brain. We need to study."

"But sleep and gaming is fun. You should go do that."

"But brain we need to responsible."

"I suppose you're right, except when you're wrong. You know like right now."

"That also makes you wrong as you are part of me."

"Just take the Blue Pill and forget I exist."

"Too late. -noms Red Pill-"

"We better get to work then."

"See being productive isn't so bad. Pain is pleasure."

"Slut."

"Intellectual Slut."

"I hate you so much sometimes."

"Hating ones self is not healthy."

"Shutting up now."

"Good idea."
As for actual suggestions I have none except suggesting to split it up into a series of manageable tasks, which may or may not result in getting more work done since the tasks now seem smaller and easier.

Can I sit on your porch? I brought Jameson Whiskey and two glasses by which to consume it.

Shall I get my strip club collection of smilies out again?

Your shenanigans are rather preposterous. Now get in the Pit of Broken Dreams™ and stay in there until you develop some common sense or the Grue eats you. Quite frankly I think the latter will happen before the former.

That's what I tell myself whenever I see another round of Freshmen each year. I spent the millennium new year's at a friend's house. It was supposed to be this whole, big affair, but the ball dropped in New York like every other year. An hour later (and no Y2K bug in sight), I watched the footage of the ball drop and then went to sleep. Got up the next day and everything was normal.Don't worry, you missed nothing special.

The way I look at it is everyone has their hand in life. You just have to play it to the best of your abilities. Reality is most students need to work while going to school, sometimes doing both at the same time. (Full time at that.) Sadly that isn't an easy thing to do for most students. I ended up cutting into my sleep to get things done (4/ hr sleep a night + nap when I could.) Not the healthiest thing to do, but in the end you gotta do what you gotta do.

C'est la vie.

^this but 16I am fearing the future because of this thread.

Work hard to get into a good school. Success rarely comes easy. That and start looking for a field you want work in. You might not get it right the first time, but at least it is not a shot in the dark.
Don't feel bad. It took me 3 years to get my AA done. Granted I had work and took some semesters off. As long as you finish that is what counts, yes?
