Yeah, I can possibly get behind this.
I'm going to formally drop this because I'm lacking the drive or motivation to continue this RP with the rest of you. Best of luck to everyone and perhaps we can collaborate on another project together in the future. Until then, so long.
It's waiting for the moment that it'll be deleted as a sub-category. Same goes for Tabletop and Nation
Again, to clarify, I'm happy to keep what I have now, I just don't want to make it seem that I'm unfairly taking more land than I'm entitled to.
I've been looking to get a plot for my nation, which is always something that I do before digging deep into nation-building, since I believe that a huge part of an identity of a nation is its geography. Since I didn't get a geography roll, I'm probably have more freedom in this department than others. Here's what I carved out:
It currently borders the Drastonian Empire, since I didn't what my nation to be plopped in the middle of nowhere. But on that point, I don't know if you're going to have large spaces of land between nations before the RP starts, or if you're going to expand nations to fill that up and make things look more realistic. Up to you, I suppose. Anyway, back to my point, I felt that the territory I have now is too large, so I'm asking what would better portion of that territory to take up, within that area or even somewhere else on the map? Just wanted everyone's opinion without redoing city/fort/etc placement a dozen times over. But I'd like to keep it northern, mountainous, and cold, unless someone has a better idea.
.
Hey guys, look at this crappy flag that took me forever to make:
Hmm... I should probably get started on my nation, shouldn't I?
Huh? Isn't the very definition of roleplaying collaborative writing? Besides, advanced has the widest range of any of the sections, from a measly two paragraphs to how ever many you feel like writing. It should be everyone's goal to participate in one advanced RP once in awhile, at least to challenge yourself, else you'll stuck in the same rut forever. Unless you're content to where you are now, which I fine I guess, but free/casual RPs often give me headaches.
Unfortunately, I'm kind of terrible at pitching ideas, but here I go: Since I offered my interest before, and sort of forgot about this, I suppose I'll pitch my idea for an antagonist, though I perfectly understand if you'd rather have all the players playing as Brand's adoptive children. I have no intention of creating a villain that will overshadow King Harold (demon-possessed or not), since it's obviously far too early in the story to over-complicate things. If I have the go ahead, I envision him as the villain of a beginning "arc", in which he may be killed at the end of the arc (or not, depends on what happens). I was going to have him be the younger brother of King Harold, but I'll need some more background information on Harold as well as the country. Not a lot, but mostly basic things. Obviously he'll be much more of a mixed bag than Harold, and he'll have equal moments of cruelty and kindness, but that's more to say that he still possesses an amount of his humanity. He's a deep thinker and often has a twisted sense of humor, and sadly, he's put his lot in with his brother long ago, and is beyond any kind of redemption. So that's basically my pitch- younger brother of King Harold who comes into contact with the adoptive children of Brand as their first true adversary. If you'd let me actually make the CS, then I think I can make him into something awesome, but you're free to add, remove, or shoot down this idea entirely. Of course, I'm always open for other things, if you have something else in mind.
