He had slammed the door to his bedroom, taking refuge in his computer chair. It was the most comfortable position he could put himself in, legs up on the seat, body leaning over onto the right arm. His attitude was less than desirable, but he had just been in a heated argument over something or other that was stupid and more so irrelevant to him. He didn't much like the thought of conversation with another person, let alone his own family.
Grabbing hold of the mouse, he woke the computer's display and waited for it to adjust before fiddling around on the internet. He checked his email - nothing, as always. Social media sites? The regular notifications, maybe a message or two from the little friends he had. A few distractions caught his attention, and he'd spend the next few hours watching videos or clicking through links that led to other links so he could read about the more popular topics that sprawled the internet.
It was a boring existence; he knew this much. He didn't like being surrounded by people he didn't know, and he thought very little of himself and how others saw him, which caused him to shy away from interaction. But, he knew deep down that he longed for it, that he didn't want to be alone. However, the thought was cut short by a video showcasing a new song from a band he liked, and things returned to normal.
After all was said and done, he finally made his way onto the website of RoleplayerGuild. He was new to it, a few months of activity, at most. He was there when the old site experienced its death, leaving many to wonder what happened, himself included. For a time, he occupied himself with other things, keeping in contact with one other person inside of whom he was surprised he actually started missing. She was good company - where she was now, he had no idea.
Soon, the site resurfaced with a new look and feel. The admin of the site gave it the bare bones it needed to sustain itself, and Euclid registered almost immediately after just having one more peek. It was on a day where, if he couldn't see it show up, he would have been done with Guild forever. But, such was fate. Over the course of a few days, the site started regaining some of its functionality, including the usage of private messaging. When Euclid found out, he sent a message to himself to test the functionality and found it successful. Afterwards, he let it be - until he got a new message.

He wasn't one to trust messages from people he didn't know, so he refused to click the link, opting instead to go back to the main page. After clicking the main page link, though, he found himself unable to leave. Attempting to close the browser proved unsuccessful, as the page refused to disappear. Thinking back on it, he was unsure why he didn't just unplug the computer, but it made no sense to think about it now. At the time, he felt he had no choice but to click the link to the message, and so he did, and everything went abruptly dark.
Next thing he knew, he woke up in a dark room with a fire pit. And now...
Euclid found his way outside, stepping out into what looked like a courtyard. The sky was a mixture of orange and blue, marking the point of evening, or so he thought. The courtyard was lined with shrubbery with a beautiful fountain that was encircled with curved stone benches. Minding his injuries, he came to sit on a bench carefully before staring into the sky. He was unsure of where the others were, or even if they were here, but on the off-chance they were looking for him, they might find him sitting outside, enjoying the view.
