I hoped to find the gleam of the fallen dew, but nothing can I see. Why did you go yonder to Mount Ogura?"

II. Introduction

So I have been away from the site for more than a year. I haven’t really had a lot of time to participate in any of the storylines due to school and other various reasons. So now that I am slightly more scheduled. I will be actively searching for new partners. I’m looking for people who can at least post once a day or week. This way I can ease my way back into the fold with a few one on one role-plays.

III. Ideas of the Week:

Idea: Syfy plot (Any pairing)
Plot & Theme: Werewolf & Shapeshifter

IV. Brief list of Desires

::Post & Post Lengths » I try to give as much in a post as I can. In my intros I can generally get up to a good four or five paragraphs (when I am in a good mood), and have a good idea where the plot is, and understand the story of the world we are going to play in. When one of these are lacking I will try to make up for it by using the story details you provide. I also understand writer's block, I would rather have quality so go ahead and take a break but make sure you inform me.

::Series » Right now I’m going through this phase, where I’m enjoying what I like to call role-play series. Its where I’m taking the secondary characters from my one of my other role-plays and linking the story by giving that particular character its own plot. I just finished a six-part sequence with a very good friend of mind, and I really loved it. I might try here on here sometime near the distant future. Also, if you have an idea that you would like to branch out in this direction feel free to PM me.

That's what Rene enjoyed about Audrielle, she was always up for an adventure. It was refreshing to see, even if there wasn’t much she could do to put it into practice. The majority vote of the council and the Lady’s caretakers had seen to that. So much of her freedom had been stifled over the years. Tonight Rene would use that to his advantage. He had to if he was to bypass the resistance at this table. His words prior had placed an air of caution around the room. That was good. Rene did not like easy pray. He continued to keep his face trained from his usual lazy or amused front he wore. It was paramount that no one figured out his motivation.

“Such hostility...and we have barely even begun.” The vampire sat back in his chair, crossing his fingers over one another. The game was indeed a foot and the next move was his own. “I guess I could put some of you at ease.” Rene circled his indifferent gaze between Louis, Aida and Simon. He had never approved of keeping crucial details of Audrielle’s past from her. The joint efforts over the years hadn’t done much to awaken the girl. Audrielle’s power nor her memory were at its fullest potential. Rene both appreciated and blamed such caution on the group before him. Aida’s concern and genuine care for the girl blinded her to what needed to be done.

Louis was an enigma. He clearly took his role as caretaker seriously, but his motivations. Rene had yet to gain a clear perspective on what that was. Nevertheless his actions as well hadn’t done much to improve the Lady’s Eve’s gap in memory. Then there was Simon, his role in the status quo had been the most unforgivable in Rene’s opinion. Out of the trio Simon was the only one who knew what it meant to be a source of blood. That without her powers, let alone some of her memories Audrielle would never be whole. So for him to vote in favor of the young source blood caretakers, that certain details never reach Audrielle’s ears. Well Rene just could not abide that.

So he cared not if certain interested parties were a bit on edge with the subject of conversation. “However I will not.” Rene smiled, but his eyes were completely sober. “Instead I will get down to the business of why we are here.” Simon shifted across the table. Rene ignored him as he directed his gaze back to Audrielle. There wasn’t anyway he was going to allow the source blood to derail this discussion. “To answer your question Lady Eve” He used her title as he continued. “I believe it's time you had a guardian.” The table went silent at his words, but it was Simon who recovered first.

“I hardly think that is necessary Rene.” Simon looked at his equal across the table. He could not figure out what Rene’s angle in all this was. Yes it was certainly well within Audrielle’s right to have one. She was a source and without her powers it would be beneficial to such protection. What Simon did not like nor could perceive at the moment how this benefited his rival. It was something he intended to find out as soon as he contained this situation. Rene meanwhile at the other end of this mental sparing had anticipated Simon’s resistance as well as a few other elements.

That’s where Audrielle came in. Such a prospect of choice had to be appealing to the young vampire. A guardian had many benefits to a source blood. The most paramount being freedom. Rene was certain that was something that definitely would hold some charm to Audrielle. It was that detail that he held in belief that would propel the young lady to override her caretakers and vote with him. “I don’t see any reason why she should not Simon.” Rene replied to the elder source blood. “Audrielle is of age and mature enough to make a selection on her own.” He looked around the table, daring an objection. There were a few counter arguments that could be made. Unfortunately most of them involved insulting the younger source blood.

Simon was many things but not a fool and the others here dared not ruin alliances. Which left Audrielle’s caretakers as the next form of resistance. Rene looked to Aida and Louis neurtally. “Unless...you two have any concerns?”

Its fine. I don't mind it. It helps moving the story along so I appreciate it. I will gave a post up Saturday. Tomorrow is my B-day event so I will be away since I have the day off.
I am okay with it. I was going to set it up next post. So having the message already being sent just speeds things up a bit.

Jazon Ielei (Jax for Short)

Full Title: Jazon Daxary Cahlun Ielei II 36th Emperor of Zaire

Age: 28

Gender:

Personality: Jax is a highly intelligent individual who is also calm, calculating, manipulative, and cold. He also possesses aptitude in situational assessment and political strategy due to his years as crown prince and exile. On the surface he appears sociable, charismatic and apathetic to his duties as emperor. However this is all a ruse to hide his true goals. The desire to achieve his father’s dream of an empire abolishing its dark practices. Jax is known for having a very laid back personality in the aristocracy. Many believe that he doesn't care for the duty of ruling and sees the entire job as trivial. This is proven in some regards with Jax attending so many parties and soirees. This is another ruse of course, with Jax only attending these social events to gather information. He has a strong distastes for nobles, viewing them as tepid and "overprivileged parasites." In fact Jax’s actually prefers the company of more grounded individual. During his years in exile he spent a great amount of time with the common born civilians in hiding. So much so that he actually fell in love with one and eventually married. Until he lost her. This is another reason why Jax feels such a high sense of justice and purpose to his goals. He has a massive disgust for the empires slave trade, despite the fact that as emperor he owns the largest population of them. Despite this, he shows a caring side to his subordinates, earning their respect and loyalty of their plight.

History: Crown Prince Jazon Ielei the son of the late Emperor of Zaire, Jarac Taquinil lelei, and the late Imperial Consort Empress Mahaylia. He was the eldest of seven children and the throne being his destiny since the day of his birth. In his youth Jax did not have much time for leisurely activities like his siblings. His adolescents were spent molding him into his father's heir from day he could read and write. His tutors and his parents instilled in him a high sense of duty and governance. He began attending political events with his parents at the age of 10. His free time was spent studying or playing chess. The latter was a pass time he often spent with his father discussing current events. He later passed on this hobby to his younger brother Tarquine. Who eventually taught their younger sister Rehka. Who unfortunately never was able to beat either of them. Unlike his parents who married for love. Jax was betrothed to his childhood friend Emelyse in a political alliance to strengthen ties between the royal house of Ielei and the noble house of Valdoria. While Jax did not love Emelyse he cared about her and felt the match was acceptable. Unfortunately the engagement ended 11 years later when Emelyse and his brother Tarquine were tragically assassinated before a diplomatic relations event with the earth alliance. Their deaths began the plot by the Sodalite to overthrow the crown. The empress and the emperor changed dramatically after the incident. They had become more somber, and began taking an even less active role in the monarchy. Jax tried to shoulder the duty his father was clearly beginning to leave behind, but it was a challenge. No sooner as he began to take on his father's duties the rebellions started. His siblings rally around him to weather through this threat. Jax called on their allies to quell the situation. That was his greatest folly. The plot had been solidates all along This new noble faction wanted to put an end to the royal family’s plans on the reform of slavery and peace talks with the other Elecorate government. Their actions of killing the Emelyse and Tarquine had been a warning, but what they would do next would place them in a position of power.

On the year of 4219 the rebellion escalated to a completely munity as the traitors made an all out assault of the palace and slaughtered his family. Jax had just turned twenty, and had only survived due to the combined bravery of his loyal bodyguard Erock. His parents had been killed trying to save his little sister Rehka. Jax till this day is still unsure if she was able to get away, let alone if she was alive. Escaping the palace through the secret tunnels underneath the royal crypt. Jax used the ensuing chaos within the city to hideout in the slums of Zaire. Two weeks he stayed there dodging the soldiers searching through the nobles sent to find him. Eventually he was able to gain safe passage off the planet. The transport took him to a remote planet outside the empire called Sothea. There Jax took on the identity of refugee named Acsel. He took on a job as a hand on a homestead to keep a low profile. The work was hard and even difficult in the beginning. Considering Jax had never know much in the way of manual labor due to his upbringing. With his new position Jax was able to stay off the radar of the empire and plan. He knew eventually he would have to take back the throne. It would take careful planning and hard work. Four years flew by for Jax in exile. He eventually moved on from the homestead and began working for a ranch own on the planet. That was where he met her. Her name was Charlo. Jax called her Char for short. She had been a maid on the ranch working for the owner. The first time in Jax’s life some one stirred the emotions within. Char had been a gentle soul. They had become friends at first. Enjoying one another's company, then eventually lovers. When the time had become right they married and left the ranch behind and bought a small plot of their own and built a home. He loved Char and wanted to start a family with her.

For the first time since his exile Jax truly considered giving up his plans to reclaim his birthright. Unfortunately destiny would not so easily be pushed aside. The attack came on a bright Sandance morning. They raided, destroyed, and took many good citizens away from their homes just to find him. Jax tried to escape with Charlo but they were captured. Char was executed before his eyes, her crime being she knew too much. Overcome with the reality of facing so much loss Jax went into a psionic coma until he was delivered to the capital of empire Sunia. When he reawoke weeks later with the knowledge he was declared emperor. Jax knew why they had kept him alive. In all the plotting the solidites did to overthrow the royal family. They failed to recognize the biggest flaw of their plan. Psi-web, the very technology that had propelled the empire forward as super power. That had given Zaire dominance over space, was powerless without psionic member of the royal family to meld with it. With that knowledge Jax knew he was protected and began working on his revenge.

//Abilities, Physical Skills:
• Psionic powers | Telekinesis: Jax can influence/manipulate/move objects/matter with his mind. Telekinesis is one of the basis of many psionic abilities that are based on "controlling/manipulating", and may evolve to the point that one can control anything at a subatomic, or particle level. Jax due to his training can move moderate at the moment can only move small objects but with more practice he may eventually move larger ones.

Empathy and Aura Reading: Jax can perceive and read auras, normally invisible fields of energy that surround every living thing, this can be used to sense emotions, health status, or the target's moral alignment. They may also be able to sense auras surrounding inanimate objects under special circumstances. He can also fully interpret and replicate the emotions, moods, and temperaments of others without reading apparent symptoms, allowing them to understand introverts or discover one emotion is actually hiding another. While he can not read a person's aura completely Jax can attack someone in a personal and emotional way since they know exactly what emotion is flowing through themselves and can use this knowledge to play against them. Some empaths may learn to read emotional imprints left into environment or objects. Usually over time, an Empath's power grows to the point that they can manipulate emotions on others, and possibly use them to empower themselves. Jax only uses this skill when he sees it as a benefit to a situation.

Telepathy: This is something that Jax excels and has a delicate touch of not being detected. As one of the royal family he was born with the natural ability to sense another person's thoughts, communicate with them mentally and/or affect their minds/thoughts. His telepathy falls into two categories: Telepathic Communication, which is the ability to transmit information from one mind to another, and Telepathic Perception, which is the ability to receive information from another's mind.. His telepathy is also is the only ability out of all the others that the Sodalite does not know about.

Physical Skills | coming soon.

Weakness(es) | Jax is psionic so she is very susceptible to the emotional suffering of people who are near him, and can suffer emotional scars from others who project their pain naturally. To survive the ongoing emotional attacks, he has mental barriers around his mind, both to protect herself from unwelcomed feelings and thoughts and to prevent projecting onto others. If the pain even became to great for him. Jax could scar minds near his own and leave them a vegetable.

Zaire Empire

Capital Planet, Sunia

He needed allies.

Jazon Ielei II 36th Emperor of Zaire of the empire knew that it was his only path forward. He needed influence, sway, power even to achieve his goals. That was just something the crown didn’t have these days. Not since the rebellion. Jazon placed the pad he’d been browsing on his desk and stood up.. He walked over to the long glass window positioned in study. The vision the glass frame held was the vast expanse of the capital city Sunia. The principle seat of the crown. He had been born here. Grew up here and in this very room stood here with his father. It was here that the current emperor had learned his fate, his duty was to the empire. It was not a role he took lightly. However it was one that had been stolen from him, given back and now limited in power. That was why Jazon had to take steps. He turned away from the window heading back towards his desk. He looked down at the marble mold holding the endless pads of documentation.

Jazon sat here for hours nearly every day pouring through the information. So much had changed in the empire. The power structure during his father's reign was nearly non-existent. The Solidites that had been loyal to his father were either exiled, had perished during the rebellion or were diminished in power. Which left Jazon with limited options. The current hierarchy of aristocracy could not be trusted. They were traitors. Many had either directly or indirectly been involved in the plot that had displaced the royal family. Jazon would be a fool to forge an alliance with any of those houses. He’d be at risk before his plans could even get off the ground.

“Your excellency.” The door peeled open as his aide Allan entered the study. He was carrying another pad of intel from the archives Jazon had requested earlier. “I have the last of the data pad.” He handed it over. Jazon took it from him, nodding his thanks. Allan bowed then stood waiting for his next orders. Jazon would have sent him a way to take care of some frivolous chore but he could sense that his aide was holding back. “You have something on your mind Allan.” The emperor looked over the rim of the data pad eyeing his servant.

“What is it?” The older man hesitated at first. How could he not? The man before him was the sovereign of the entire Zaire empire. To question him put his position and security in precarious state. Yet Allan's sense of loyalty would not allow him to leave his concerns when Jazon could be in danger. “Is this wise your majesty?” The aide point to the data pad. “To be so open with what you are doing.” Jazon smiled smugly at the line of questioning.

He appreciated his aide’s concern. He really did. Allan was one of the few in his inner circle who genuinely cared about the royal’s well being. However it was not needed at this particular junction. It was true the solidites were keeping a close eye on him. They’d planted bugs in his private chambers, knew his whereabouts a good percentile of the time and occasionally had his servant followed. Hell even some of the royal guards were in their pockets. Jazon knew all of this, his disadvantages were clear. That didn’t mean Solidites didn’t underestimate him. The royal family had many secrets and one of them was the very reason he had been brought back.

The Psiweb

It was the emperor's ace in the hole and the reason he was confident his enemies were still in the dark about him. So no he wasn’t worried. “Allan your caution is noted.” He reassured the aide. Allan however did not look reassured. “Majesty what if they find out you are searching for your family remains.” Jazon smiled once more, placing the datapad onto the desk. He looked at Allan, eyes full of purpose. “Good.” The computer terminal on his desk came to life, as multiple reports opened on the holo screen. “Then they have no idea what I am really doing.” Allan instantly realized this was nothing the emperor had sent him into the archives for. So how had he gained access to military intel, reports and dossier without the nobles knowing? Allan wanted to ask but he doubted that the emperor would give him such privy information.

He stared at the holo screen, Jazon had brought up moments before. Out of all the reports listed on the projected monitor. One was highlighted and stood out the most. It was a woman. “Who is that your majesty?” Allan dared to ask, letting his curiosity get the better of him. Jazon allowed it, opening the report further. He sat back in his chair staring at that the picture attached to the report he had been studying for sometime. “Her name is Astra Corwin.” He finally answered, but his eyes never left the image on the holo. “And if I play my cards right Allan. She will soon be my consort, the next empress of Zaire.”

There was something almost comical about the events tonight. Rene Belmont in his eight hundred years had never called a council meeting. Oh he attended when other meetings were scheduled, but to call one of his own. No that wasn’t his style. Which was most likely why the other members were either on edge or curious about his intentions. It was amusing. Rene placed his phone down on the seat next to him, as he looked out the window of the vehicle. He had just ended his call with Nicholas a few short minutes before. The old blood had been rather neutral about the news but he knew better. Nicholas wanted nothing to do with the council and Rene could not blame him. Fifty years was a long time to hold onto a grudge, but the old blood had reason.

Nicholas was a shell of his former self. The murder of the Lady Eve had broken him in ways the council hadn’t forseen. They could have stopped his descent but chose not to. Instead allowing his grief to forge him into a weapon, a very deadly one. The council liked to pretend that Nicholas was some kind of monster. However his transformation was just as much his own fault as it was theirs. Those were...dark days. Rene remembered them quite vividly. He’d been opposed to using the old blood as a tool, but out voted two to one. Many had believed he would defy the will of the council and rebel, fortunately for them that wasn’t how Rene opperated. He had a longer game and if tonight’s bit of theater panned out. Rene would be moving another piece on the board. “We are arriving my lord.” His chauffeur announced, turning into the lot that housed the meeting location.

Rene nodded to confirm but kept his gaze trained on the images outside his window. There were a few cars stationed outside the building. Rene recognized some of them. The first vehicle he noticed belonged to Lady Eve. Rene watched as Audrielle stood outside looking far from enthusiastic. She obviously didn’t want to attend tonight's event. Aida and Louis were also present but that was expected. The two caretakers never seemed to leave the young source bloods side. Rene sympathized with Audrielle, she clearly didn’t have a moment of reprieve with those two hovering. He watched as they disappeared inside. Rene stepped out of the car. He adjusted his suit as he eyed the second automobile in the lot. It belonged to someone he knew all too well. “Simon. Simon. Simon.” Rene shook his head lazily. “Should have known you would be ridiculously on time.”

Oldest of the four source bloods and ever prompt. Simon Heartwell. Rene wasn’t surprised to see the the leader of the void bloodline present tonight. Simon never missed a session involving the covens. He also was probably curious as to the nature Rene had called this meeting like many others. Not that he had any intention of showing his card just yet. Sliding his hand into his jacket pocket, Rene began walking away from the lot towards the building. He knew a few others than Simon, Audrielle and her entourage were already inside. So his presence was one of the few that were fashionably late. Rene pushed open the door and stepped inside. The hallway he walked along wasn’t long and quickly led him into the main room housing his esteemed council members.

“I see I am the near last to arrive.” He announced as he took his seat at the other end of the table. “My apologies for arriving so late.” His statement was empathetic but everyone could see Rene was far from apologetic. “Enough with the dramatics Rene.” Simon’s calm yet stern voice came from the other end of the table. It was time for this meeting to begin. He was used to the younger source blood’s antics and occasionally even entertained them. However, tonight was different. Rene had called for this meeting and Simon wanted to know why. “You wanted this meeting. We are here.” Simon motioned around the table. “ Now tell us why.” Rene smiled at Simon’s little push.

The meeting had barely even begun and the older source blood was demanding answers. Rene would of course oblige him...eventually. For now he would only give a taste of what he had in store. “So pushy Simon.” He leaned back into the chair, positioning himself comfortably. “We’ve only just arrived and you want to talk business.” Rene’s hand theatrically “How borish of you. Why, I haven't even had a chance to welcome our dear Lady Eve to the table.” He nodded in acknowledgement to Audrielle, ignoring Simon’s piercing gaze. Rene so enjoyed winding him up.

However Simon was right. Rene did need to give them something to get these proceedings going. If he allowed his behavior to delay this any further. What he truly wish to gain would be placed out of reach. Rene had a goal, so he shifted tactics. The playful glint left his eyes and his smirk turned to stone. “You asked me why I called this meeting Simon.” Rene looked to the elder vampire, but his gaze slowly began to circle around the table. “It's simple.” His head stopped til his gaze landed on someone particular. “I called this meeting in regards to…Audrielle"

I finished most of the post. Once I get some rest from class and work. Its been a long day. I will have it up.
Work in progress

Rene Belmont

Age: 800
Gender:

History: An 800 year-old Source Blood born in France on April 1, Rene Belmont called 'Red-eye Belmont', is the bearer of the God's Flame a legend of the Dark Ages. Rene has many other titles including "The Ancient Dark Hunter", "The Follower of the Fire God", "The Red-eyed Murderer", and "The Prince of Blood". He is also one of the rulers the four affiliated houses of the Special Zone. He comes from a glorious bloodline linking to the great warrior, Asura and is noted to be one of the last of that bloodline. Having inherited the special blood of the war god Asura, Rene has a power called 'Eye Ignite', which enables him to create and control fire. Because he had to prove his bloodline long before coming a vampire, he is the only one that is left; which is also due to his lifespan of 800 years.

Personality: Rene has a very colorful personality. On the surface he is charming, and a very sociable individual. In reality he is those things and so much more. Rene is not above scheming, lying or using someone to gain the results he desires. The other Covens consider him a wild card and have a hard time predicting current or end goals. Rene has a soft spot for the honesty, and nativity of the Lady Eve. He has known her long before reincarnation and feels that her latest up bringing has stunted her growth as a vampire. He knows as a source blood that fate centers around the voices that come from the bloodline, passed on if they listen to the calling within the blood. He is the only one of the vampire leaders who willingly accepts Nicholas into the Special Zone as he enjoys his personality and benefits to his agenda.
No problem take your time. No rush. I have a few projects to finish up. I'll be posting soon.
