Pepper exhaled at the news, Loki was obviously going to be of no use since he was locked up. Even if he wasn’t Thor had a valid point, there would be no reason for Loki to help. Heck after hearing whats he did she would be scared that he’d kill Tony faster. Slowly she slid down the wall, for some reason sitting down felt a lot better than standing. Jane took notice as she moved over to her, “Pepper? Are you alright?” she asked softly only to see dark stain on the side of her blazer. “Pepper! You’re bleeding?!” she shouted as Pepper frowned at the volume of her voice.

Unbuttoning her blazer she could see the stain in her white shirt confirming that she had been injured but she hadn’t felt it. She had been concerned with Tony. “I’m fine,” she hissed as she glanced over to Tony hoping he hadn’t heard since Jane had practically blurted it out. The adrenaline she had was finally leaving her system and pain was setting in. “We have to help Tony first,” she mumbled as Jane sighed. “Bruce can you take a look?” she asked before glancing over at Thor. “This element, what is it attracted to? If we can find something to pull it out of his system that might work, would any normal human elements work?” she asked Thor hoping he had more knowledge on it.
Pepper listened as she tried to think of something that they could do. “Draw it out? We don’t have anything that’s capable of that, we aren’t even sure how or where it’s concentrated in... we need to inform SHIELD about this… maybe they have something that could help?” She suggested only for Jane to shake her head. “You go to SHIELD and you’ll never see Tony again. I’ll have you know that they took away all my research before they wouldn’t even let me in when we first caught sight of the storm and Thor’s hammer. Who knows… if this energy source is useful they might even use it.” She commented as she crossed her arms.

Pepper silently cursed as she leaned against the wall, “Loki was it? Would he know about removing this since he was the one who left it here?” she asked. Though she wasn’t even sure where this Loki guy was, everything seemed to be bad right now but that didn’t stop Pepper from hoping. "Is this contagious as well? Cause we're all at risk.." she added knowing that she had been exposed to it a lot longer than they were since she had been with Tony since morning.
Pepper blinked as she glanced over to Tony. “Asgardian? But how could that be? An element from so far here on earth?” she asked with a raised brow. Jane moved over to Tony looking fascinated though it was obvious that she was still concerned. “An element hm? Is there anyway to extract it? I’d love to see what it is, especially if the great Tony Stark is researching it,” she mentioned only for Pepper to frown.

“That element is killing him, I don’t think you studying it would do any help,” she shouted with annoyance. Her temper was getting worse especially knowing how Tony was hurting. She could hear him coughing and groaning and she wanted to help him in anyway she can. “Thor is there anything we can do? I’ll try my best,” she spoke her tone a little more soft now.
Pepper flinched when she heard Tony raise his voice. Her head turned as she glanced over to where the loud sound was made. "Yeah that didn't happen to me," Jane commented with confidence as she motioned to Tony's outburst. "Look Thor was it? If this element isn't of earth what can we do? You're the only thing that's not from here," Pepper spoke though Jane frowned at her words.

"Thor took me away from here... They scanned my body. You'd be amazed at the technology they have there it's something like ours," she spoke out with excitement. "What?! I can't let Tony leave here... Look at him. He's seriously ill!" Pepper shouted with frustration.
An hour had passed until Thor and Jane arrived, her hair was messy a sure sign that they were in a rush. Perhaps even flying? She didn't know, honestly Pepper could care less on how they came. "Thank goodness you're here." She spoke as she rushed over to them. It had taken a lot out of her to not call 911. She really wanted Tony to see someone since he only looked like he was getting worse. "What is the problem?" the large man asked before noticing Bruce as he nodded over to him. Pepper went ahead and began explaining the situation, it was hard not to keep the panic out of her voice since she was scared. Jane listened in quietly though she shook her head, "I never had that when I fell ill, but what I had was very different from the first place, it wasn't an element," Jane spoke up as Pepper frowned.

"I don't know what to do, whatever it is in his body... it's killing him," Pepper explained.
That's fine no worries. Take the time you need, just drop in a PM when you feel ready to start it back up?
Pepper sighed as she moved over to Tony, taking a seat down on the bed as she gently pushed him back down so that he was laying on his back. Placing her hand over her forehead she felt how warm he was, a sure sign that his fever was returning. “Tony.. your fever is coming back. Listen JARVIS already informed me of what’s damaged and I’ve done what I can to restore him temporarily. Thor is on his way along with Jane… I said it was urgent.” She explained before sighing again. This was too much for one day, the building was damaged, Tony lost his data and he was terribly ill and now it would be likely that they would need to answer to SHIELD.

“Just rest until he gets here okay? We’ll figure out what’s going on,” she assured before placing a soft kiss over his forehead. Turning her attention back to Bruce she moved over to him rubbing her arms as she did, "Jane said that it could be really serious if it was an element that's not from earth.. she said she had been infected with something like that once before and couldn't explain in much detail." She whispered softly though her concern was evident by her tone.
"Security will be here soon, especially after the alarm going off like this. I'll be fine Tony," she assured before leaving. Heading downstairs she was greeted with police cars and people who of course questioned her. Despite the fact that she could have lost her life earlier she was required to do damage control. She informed the police that it was nothing more than a break in and a report would be filled out for it. She needed to also handle paperwork for getting the lab repaired. It had taken an hour to sort everything out before she could tend to JARVIS. A lot of his system was damaged, it seemed like the man who infiltrated had used a virus to shut JARVIS's main system down. There wasn't much she could do considering how Tony was the one who handled this, thankfully JARVIS was still under the back up sever so he managed to explain a few things that Pepper could do so he could regain control over the building.

When Pepper finally returned back up she found Tony in bed again. Glancing over to Bruce she gave him a concerned look. "How is he?" she asked softly. He needed help, they couldn't just do nothing, but there wasn't anything that they could do either.
Pepper quickly stood and moved over in front of him as she placed her hand over his shoulder. “Tony… you need to be resting.. whatever is in your system is hurting you.” She spoke as she glanced over to Bruce who was now returning back to normal. “I’m fine Tony, come on… I’ll help you up. Get you back to bed,” she whispered as she gently stood up trying to help him stand. “Thank you… you probably saved my life,” she was now addressing Banner, she had been terrified that he would attack her especially since the stranger had come so close but he hadn’t gotten the chance to do anything to her.

“Bruce… can you help Tony get back in bed? I need to make some calls and handle the situation with JARVIS. Our system is offline and that could be bad if anyone caught wind of that,” she explained knowing that everything was a mess. She needed to contact Jane to see if Thor was around and it didn’t seem like anyone could help them at this point unless she were to contact SHIELD and if they caught wind of Tony’s invention with the new element, that would result in even more trouble.
The man chuckled as he watched Tony pound the glass but it was useless. Pepper nodded to Bruce as she stepped back, but she couldn't hold back her scream when he broke down the glass. It shattered with ease and the man had backed away shaking his head at what was happening. Pepper had fallen down, finding it hard to breath with seeing Bruce in such a way. His body was huge to the extent that the his head had reached past the ceiling, his feet had sunken into the floor and she wasn't really sure if it could even hold his weight. Soon enough Tony was in front of her breathing hard as stood protectively still the man made no effort to even come closer.

"I don't really have time to play games right now. But I'll be sure to come back later to play," the mysterious man spoke before turning and running towards the broken window glass. "W-Wait! This is the twenty ninth floor!" Pepper shouted, but he was long gone. "Tony... he has your data," she exclaimed with shock. He looked weak though this stress wasn't doing him any good either.
