Anima, I have a similar story! My little brother, at the age of 13, ate a walnut brownie for the first time and had a horrible reaction. He ended up in the hospital with a life-threatening nut allergy that nobody had even known about beforehand. Be careful & glad you're okay :)

By the way, how do you guys feel about Samuel being the antagonist? — from any kind of perspective, if you feel anything at all about it. I mean, it's a pretty common device in story telling, but if you disregard that.
It didn't surprise me, but it fits. I think Emily will be one of the people who has the least difficulty with it.
