I love collabs, so I disagree with this... And I'll point out that there's no rule that says collabs are limited to two people (remember when we all used to be on at the same time?)

But it's Prisk's call.

Also, I too am having that issue. It's another "feature" of the Guild.

Personally, I liked the slotting in/out timelines system a lot. It makes it easier for me to address things that need addressing even if the RP gets away from me temporarily.

I'm thinking about Emily's next post - is there a place somewhere in all of this she can have some sort of physician examine her new scar? We still need to establish more about what it is/how it works.

Also, I will be hanging out in the TSW pad for a while today, if anyone wants to discuss joint posting, future posts, the boundless darkness that covers all of mankind, etc.

About all the fear about not posting - I feel it to, and I want to post. It's hard for me right now with all the other obligations I have. But I feel strongly that TSW can last for a while if we have the right perspective about it. It's not really about speed of posting or quantity of posts, it's about quality. It's also reasonable to say that if things are quieter for this month (or even next month), that doesn't mean they can't become more active again when we all have time.

I think that there's a "use it or lose it" mentality at RPGuild and it's just not how writing works. There's a lot of emphasis on continuous posting, but that is at odds with the reality of how roleplays and writing in general often works. If you don't have time to work on a story, that doesn't make the story worthless. It just means it will have to wait until there's time. It's important to keep a sense of perspective.

It's a shame that Sonder's out, even as she's only just joined us, but I agree strongly that TSW should be closed at this point. I think it's reached the point (as many good roleplays do) where the story is in our hands as a group, and it's not easy to just pass part of that off to someone who doesn't understand the work as whole. That's what's happened in most every successful RP I've ever been in. I think that TSW has reached the point where we can look at it as less of a "roleplay" (which implies people popping in and out, loose commitment, and a short timespan) and more of a collective writing effort, implying that it's a small group, working on something as much as they are able, over a long period of time, with the goal of producing some sort of actual work at the end.

Of course, it's Prisk's creation, whatever it is, so it's her decision - but personally, that's how I prefer to look at it.

I've seen it being mentioned, but I've never actually watched it. How is it?

It's great! It's a kids' show, I admit, but it feels much more grown-up and they get away with a lot. It can be pretty weird/creepy at times... which makes it right up my alley D:
