Question. Can I be a sentient and ultimately malevolent living virus or swarm of nanomechanical plague that got locked up because it couldn't be soundly destroyed? Basically a slightly more smarter than usual shoggoth with a mean streak, outfitted with some sort of tech that limits his capabilities in order for him to not accidentaly spread all over the planet he is on.

here's another one, made this up with a guy I know: power that lets you syphon heat from environment REALLY FAST and store this energy in yourself, with no upper limit whatsoever. Trick is that this stored heat energy can be expended in great bursts in order to fuel the guy's superpower and durability and for crude biomantic tricks like growing his nails into hardened claws or giving himself IR-vision or speeding up his reactions by overcharging the nervous system
