Katherine turned her head when to Tyme, when he asked her to spar, "I...um....I suppose I'm not opposed, but I'm pretty sure you'd knock me flat.... I'm mostly self-taught since there aren't that many fighters in Tormin, especially ones that use a mace. I can handle myself, but that's about it. But if you really-...." she trailed off as they approached by an imprisoned Imperial with his escort.

She listened to the soldier's report and then to the Imperial, "Hello Nitire. My name is Katherine Ophelium." she said, trying to sound professional, "May I ask why you've come to Tormin? It doesn't seem wise for a single person to come here if their intent was to attack us. It seems suicidal, in fact. Surely, there's another reason why you're here?"

Kathy watched them eyeing each other. "Do you know him, Tyme?"
Sorry it's taking me a bit. I had to work and when I do I'm basically gone all day, and now that I can sit down and think about it, my brain is just hitting a wall.... I have everything done except personality and biography. I even made up stats for her. lol

I'm off tomorrow, though. So I should be able to finish it then.
Veragwen giggled as Kest picked her up and spun around with her. She smiled at him when he put her down, "Well, alright, but keep in mind, I might need to dash off like I did before again even if I don't want to. It's important to me that things stay under control at the festival. In a way, I suppose it's a test of my skills. This is a quiet village normally, so it's not hard to protect, but look at all these people! It's a whole new level of chellenge."

She realized this would be her first date. Vera was generally too busy helping people, or training, or learning some new thing to help people, or hunting to do anything she considered fun or romantic. Not that she didn't enjoy those things, but she just couldn't find time for fun things. She had to admit it felt nice to be treated as a woman for once. And Kest seemed to think of her pretty highly, although she supposed it was hard to tell who Kest had seen. Perhaps it wasn't as great a compliment as she thought...

Vera checked the stage where she had last seen Mara to see she was now gone. She looked back at Kest, "Your sister seems to have gone elsewhere...shall we look for her and tell her the good news?" she asked, holding out her hand for him to take as they walked together to look for Mara.

Elayna continued to peformance, but she was getting bored! Luckily, she could do these dances in her sleep, but she enjoyed a good fight much more. Meeting Mara only made her that much more excited for it! There was nothing like feeling her greatsword make a clean hit.
Would you be willing to allow a prepromote Falcon Knight for lances and staves? Or could I make staves her custom skill?
I may be interested. Is there any sort of class/character type that you'd like me to play as?
Vera put a hand on her hip, "I suppose, but I'm also better equipped. It's not exactly easy to parry or block with an empty hand. And your reach is limited to your arm's length. You can grapple sure, but that's a bit of a double-egded sword, especially against multiple opponents. I'd love to spar sometime, though! Just don't expect me to go easy on you."

She blinked at his mumblings, then blushed, her cheeks becoming rosy. Her ears heard him fairly clearly, but her brain couldn't accept it as what he said. Surely she misheard. She rubbed her arm, and couldn't quite meet his eyes, although his were drawn downward anyway, "That's...um...a bit too early to do, don't you think? We've only met a couple times, but I do like you, Kest. I'd be happy to...get something to eat or something sometime, though." Veragwen wasn't sure she'd call it a date, not yet, but she wouldn't mind the chance to get to know him better. Mara too. "But I can't right now. I'm on duty....but I suppose you could just stay by me. After all, all I'm required to do is keep my eyes open for trouble."

Elayna felt a bit lonely now that Mara was gone. She realized she didn't have many actual friends. She knew a lot of people, but not very well. She did have some admirers, that came with her profession, but some were a little too....forward. In which case she chased them off with her greatsword. She had little patience for men that saw women as simple eye candy.
Elayna gestured to her greatsword leaning against the wall nearby, then shook Mara's hand, "I look forward to it, darling. Of course, if we don't meet at the tournament I wouldn't mind a friendly duel sometime either." she smiled at the girl, but then she ran off looking for her quite handsome brother. "And there she goes. I'll have to keep an eye on that one." she giggled, then resumed her dance for the Red Eyed Dragoon.

Veragwen looked up at him as he tried to formulate words. She smiled at him as he finally finished a sentence, "I'm fine, Kest. Not even a scratch." she said, as she turned her body around for him, allowing him to inspect her and unwittingly giving him a look at her shapely features, "Did you really think some thugs could touch me? Besides, it was just one of them, you had two and you came out with just a scratch! Pretty impressive." she smiled at him. "But I....get the feeling you wanted to ask me something else... That kind of question shouldn't have left you so flustered." she said, raising an eyebrow at him. "Are you sure you're not hurt elsewhere?" she asked, looking him over again.
Katherine chuckled, "Well, technically you got here before we did. Otherwise that attack wouldn't have happened." she looked back at his gunblade, "Really? That's quite impressive. I'd heard of a few people trying to build one, but they all seemed to fail for one reason or another... I assume from lack of resources or they just couldn't figure it out... Remember though, that your life is more important than some sword. Even a gunblade." she said, waggling a finger at his face.

She frowned at him, "I see....Well, perhaps once I've earned your trust you would be willing to divulge it to me. Until then....shall we get moving? We've got quite a ways to go. And the sooner we get there the better. And hopefully the less puddles I could trip into."
Katherine wasn't sure Tyme should be up and walking already, she was ready to help him if need be, "I..., yes, that's me. How did you know? Oh, I suppose my troops were a giveaway, huh? Duh, Kathy." She said, shaking her head and giving him a smile, her attention then went to his gunblade, "That's an interesting weapon....Where did you get it? It's quite lovely, but perhaps you should keep it somewhere more concealed, though. How bright and shiny it is could give us away, not to mention attract unwanted attention..."

She watched as the others returned with a couple healers, "Sorry to bother you both," she said, "but could you please check my friend's wound for me and make sure I healed it, correctly. I want to be sure he's fine before we get going." she turned her attention back to Tyme, "That's right, but I want to take a moment and make sure you're okay first. You almost died on me there.... Do you feel any pain or anything strange from my magic?" Kathy was also curious if she had really done it right. She didn't get too much real practice with it, but it was the easiest for her. Still, she was worried...
Elayna smiled as Mara finally got into the groove. "Atta girl! I knew you could it." she said, as she danced with the mergirl. It reminded her a bit of fighthing with her greatsword. Elayna always fought with a certain elegance she brought from dancing, and it seemed Mara did too. "It's not as hard as you thought, is it?"

"Oh, do you plan on competing in the tournament at the end of the festival, Mara? I was thinking of doing so myself and I think a match with the two of us would be quite enthralling. Wouldn't you agree?" she asked, giving the girl another wink and a twirl.

Veragwen looked down at where Kest had touched. Without thinking of it much she lifted up his shirt to check his side, "That looks like a little more than a scratch, Kest." She said, frowning. "Regardless, we should get you patched up. A scratch can still get infected. I think I can take care of it, though." She reached into her pack and pulled out some ointment and spread it on the cut. "That's something my father invented. It's basically a cure all for cuts and stuff. It helps it heal quickly and helps with the pain." she said, giving him a smile. "Be more careful, alright? I don't like seeing you hurt."
