Katherine sighed, "Which is why I said 'nevermind'. I figured you either wouldn't tell me or didn't remember. Either way, it's pointless to discuss further..."

She watched him run off before taking out her mace and following after him, "You do realize my orders would've been to help her...it would've taken 2 seconds." she said, raising her weapon as she approached one of the Imperials. Apparently, he was too distracted by her chest. Kathy wasted no time bringing her mace around full power into his temple. Her hammer had a small head, which made it very good at puncturing armor and bone. It took her a moment to yank it out as he dropped to the ground before slamming the pickaxe end into the stomach of another Imperial nearby. He droppped as well. She pulled her mace up and brought it down on his skull for the kill.

She wiped her hammer off on his cloak before turning to Tyme, "That's that, I suppo-" she stopped, hearing the metal scraping, "What? Tyme what is that? Some sort of seige machine? How do we stop it?" she asked, stepping up next to him.
Heather smiled as he chased away the crow and gave her his cloak to help hide her clothes, "Thank you, my lord. I was just thinking that I probably should've grabbed something else to where before I left. Silly of me not to, really.... And I've always been scared of crows. They're either bad omens or just mischevious little creatures..."

She shook her head, laying her hands in her lap, "No, no. It's alright. I understand. To be honest, as much as I'd like to talk with you about quite a few things, I'm a bit tired myself. It was quite a trip to get here. Perhaps after we both get some rest we can chat then? Promise?" she asked, realizing how much of a child she sounded like, "I-If you want to, of course."

She looked at Blade, and shrugged, "Maybe. I've heard of people taming birds to use as messengers and the like.... but sending one to bug people seems...juvenile, honestly. Do you really think someone would pull that kind of prank?" she asked, tilting her head to the side slightly, letting her curls fall over her shoulder.
Vera blushed as he wiped the icing off her cheek with a thumb, "Thank you...It's a bit messy, isn't it?" she chuckled.

She wasn't sure what to say to that. "I see... It seems hard to imagine.... But perhaps that is EXACTLY why you two are so close? It must've been hard to build up that trust from what you felt before. And because it was so hard you two became that much closer. Don't you agree? A relationshio built on work and hardship will almost always be stronger." she smiled at him, "Well, hopefully you won't have to worry as much with us both protecting her now, right?" Veragwen laid her head on his shoulder, and huddled close to him, as they watched the stars.

She had to admit this was a very different feeling from what she was used to. Rarely did people treat her as a woman. It was nice. She sighed and pushed away a little, "I suppose so. And I'd be happy if you came with me, Kest." she smiled at him, "Do you and Mara have a place to stay? I suppose so, since she hurried off already. If not you're welcome to stay at my house. It's not the largest, but it's cozy. Also free!"
Veragwen thought a moment on his words as they walked, "Hmmm....I guess I've never thought about it much, but I suppose you're right. I'm a pretty unique girl, aren't I? I've always considered myself to be pretty plain, but I guess I don't know many girls that can do what I do...." she smiled up at him, "Thank you, Kest. And I hope you know that you're special too! Mara is lucky to have you as a brother....I've always wondered what it would be like to have a sibling. You two are so close...I'm a little envious." she shook her head, "Sorry. This isn't really the time or the place for this kind of talk, is it?"

Vera looked over all the foods of the stall that Kest had picked out, realizing she hadn't really eaten dinner yet, "Dessert for dinner it is, I suppose." she chuckled, picking out a giant iced cinnamon bun. She let Kest pay since he offered, and took the fork the chef gave her, "Thank you."

After Kest settled things with the chef, Vera led them over to a bench to sit down and eat. She looked up at the sky as she took her first bite, a bit of icing sticking to the side of her mouth, "The sky is lovely tonight, isn't it, Kest?"
Heather wasn't sure if she should be flattered or offended by the Manakete. On one hand she liked to be called cute or pretty, but in this case it seemed more like she was being treated like a pet. She didn't let it bother her too much, though. "Uh, thanks, I guess .... My name is Heather, it's nice to meet you! What's your name?" she said, smiling and holding out a delicate hand for her to shake.

And then she was attacked by some seemingly random crow! Well, not attacked, it seemed. She sat frozen as it sat on her head and examined her crown, occasionally pecking at it. She did however, move her hand to hold onto it, so it didn't try to fly away with it. "N-Nice to meet you too, little bird...." she said shakily, "...D-Do you like my crown? It is quite sparkly, isn't it?" she asked. Really wishing that she had worn different clothes now.
Tyme is going to notice you when Krinos posts. I'm not sure if he's waiting on someone or if he just forgets to post, though. xP
Camilla da best
Very short post, but that seems a good time to start the next day, don'tcha think?
Veragwen smiled as she took his hand, "Oh? I don't see you this way around other girls..." she said, nudging and giving him a wink. "I guess it must be me. But I'm only teasing you, Kest." She looked up at the sky, "Yes, it is getting late. But I wouldn't mind walking around with you for a bit before we turn in."
"O-Oh, you remember me....even my name...." She honestly wondered if he would, but it was quite flattering that he did. He might recall her face, but they hadn't talked too much beyond exchanging names and small talk. Heather wondered if he thought she was pretty. She had sort of hoped to remain incognito, but maybe she should've worn something less recognizable. Heather bit her lip, already at a loss for words.

She shook her head, What is wrong with you? You're not always like this! ....Am I? I don't think so... Ack, he's still looking at me! She took a breath to relax herself and looked him in the eyes, "Like I said I came to help. I heard the same thing you did at that meeting and what the Churh intends to do is all kinds of wrong. I couldn't just stand by and doing nothing. So I came....on my own. It's kind of a miracle, actually..."

Heather smiled at him, "If that is your wish I'll do my best to try, my lord." Wait, what? Who says that? Are you crazy? she let her smile fade, "Honestly, I'm more concerned about you and your party. My father doesn't know anything about my....adventure, so he might get some strange ideas. He's pretty paranoid when it comes to me....so you be careful too! Without you, this whole army crumbles." I suppose it's good to warn him, but that....sounds like I'm adding more problems than help... Oh well, it's too late now.

She was glad to sit and ride in the wagon, especially if she could sit next to Matthew. Her feet were also killing her and it was nice to give them a rest. She wanted to talk to him more, but then he got absorbed in a book, and then eventually shut his eyes. Heather didn't want to disturb him so she simply kept quiet, although one could tell she very much wished to chat.
