@CycloneHow about Slough?

Or we could draw lots. Just select someone randomly.
@FrettzoYes, I know. I'm saying what I think needs to be emphasised in order for it to work, i.e. that it does not become the standard post -- or that it does not take up the whole post. I don't believe we have a developed enough world yet. And developing the world requires all of us -- or at least, most of us.

It's not about obligation. Like I said -- I'd like to do this.

Also, I don't mean "I will write two paragraphs". I mean "I will write seven paragraphs on my god, and then two on Zephyrion".
@DawnscrollI don't see much discord. It's pretty much just me (as far as I know), and...I'm just saying what my problems with it are.

How come you don't want to (or at least seem not to want to) allow small parts of posts?
@FrettzoIt's the same point as arguing for it, no? Because I think that it's a bad idea if the focus is on long texts. Because people -- or at least, I -- have a limited amount of time I can spend on writing posts. I can't make megaposts. If I'm writing a lot about X god, I'm not going to write about my god and what they're doing.

Now I'm personally not actually bothered by this. I think I can accomplish both at the same time, anyway. My point is that other people (and myself) may not be able to, and so if this is installed it should allow a few paragraphs as a minimum.
@FrettzoI don't think so. It's true it'll never be "complete" -- but that doesn't mean it's full and bursting right now. It isn't. We're in turn two -- it's not that we're not done, it's that we've barely begun.

And as I said -- you don't need a system to explore that stuff. Just do it. If it's fun -- it's fun.

@DawnscrollYou underestimate people. The fact we are talking about this in the first place proves that we're capable of going outside our comfort zone.

Although if we're honest -- if it was truly outside of our comfort zone, we wouldn't be talking about it.
@DawnscrollYou keep talking about stepping outside of your comfort zone -- I don't think we need an incentive-system to encourage this. We're able to do that without one.

I don't think anything more than a few paragraphs is a good idea at this stage. When we've made more -- when the world's established; yes. Then it will be good, and interesting, to play with the setting.
@FrettzoYou don't need something like this to write from a mortal's perspective.

I don't think the issue is optionality. It should be about length of content. If a paragraph or two is enough, then that's easy to have while also creating stuff.
@DawnscrollI agree about exploring the world -- but what if people want to add to it? What if Antarctic Termite has a grand plan to unleash a giant carrot deathlord thing -- and then they have to write about Teknall?

We can't just sit down and leave the planet as it is. Even if we chose to stay in the stone age -- we'd still want to add stuff (or at least, I do).

In terms of writing from a non-divine perspective -- that's what I was going to do anyway. Goathead Magi and Hollow Men need to be summoned by mortals, after all...
@DawnscrollIt's an interesting idea, but it limits writing a great deal. I personally don't have a problem with it, but my character's particularly suited to that kind of thing (easy to just test different god's creations).
@ArawakA religion based on labour?

Seems like they'd fit right in with my not!Commies.
