Mercy
Mercy lifted her hand in greeting as Matt also introduced her to Zaelyn. “Nice to meet you, Zaelyn” She smiled warmly again. Mercy looked a little disappointed with Matt’s answer but didn’t say anything else. “Good to hear you’re ok” She smiled at him. “I think it’s a good thing they have a pool, not everything likes salt water or sand. Pool’s are probably safer as well” She pointed out with a small smile. “If you guys change your mind come find us ok?” Mercy told them, following Darwin as he moved a little away from them.
Does he stay still for more than a second? She blinked as he basically told them he had almost drowned the last time he was in a pool. “Oh!” Mercy exclaimed, feeling her smile falter. “Well don’t worry we’ll make sure you don’t drown” She assured him. She raised an eyebrow at Darwin’s next question, it seemed innocent enough, she glanced at Garden as she denied his offer and turned to Mercy asking her if she did. “Probably, once I’ve found a sun lounger I’d be inclined to apply some but I’m ok for now...Oh my he’s off again” She sighed tha last part as Darwin was off again now bouncing towards Crash and another girl, she turned to smile at Garden. “I promise we’ll go to the pool, I just need to speak with my friend” She told Garden turning and pointing at Crash before she moved over to the group.
Mercy moved over to Crash and the girl with rust colored hair who she would assume was Kathy, she slid up beside Crash a smug smile crossing her face, she knew he was trying to avoid looking at her. I can’t not do this...consider it payback for your involvement with the shaving foam, shapeshifter Mercy waited for Kathy to answer Darwin before she caught the girls eye offering her a warm smile. “Hey! You must be Kathy right?” She stated, watching unease cross crash’s expression before he placed a hand to his face as if he knew this was coming. “I’m Mercy” She introduced herself. “Sorry I didn’t mean to interrupt I just thought I recognized you, Crash has been talking about you a lot for the last two weeks” Mercy explained, blow dealt she saw Crash visibly flush with embarrassment .
“Nice to-“ “Er-erm I don’t think I did I was just...telling Mercy about all of the other students” Crash cut across her, she felt herself grin at his childish glare. Deciding that was enough for now, she shrugged apologetically at Kathy, looking at Darwin. “Maybe I was mistaken...anyway we’re off to the pool, catch you two later” She waved goodbye with a grin on her face winking slyly at Crash as she turned and headed off, hoping Garden and Darwin would follow soon after. The pool wasn’t that far away just back outside the resort not far from the bar, Mercy moved over to the pools side subtly checking the temperature and the depth of the pool, she was quite content with this water...it wasn’t the sea, it was logical and controlled. She moved away from the edge moving over to a sun lounger and stripping down to a pale gold bikini top and tankini shorts, pulling her phone from her shorts pocket and momentarily playing with it whilst she waited.
Crash
“Yeah, it was listed in the pamphlet they gave us. And I know you’re a minor because I am and-!” Amusement danced across Crash’s eyes as he kept the sly grin on his face. It was funny because he had unintentionally thought they were the same age...yet again he hadn’t asked her. “Hmm...Well I’m 18 at the moment...19 in two months” He grinned at her, offering his answer happily. “What about you?” He asked, curiosity apparent in his eyes.
Crash rubbed his abused head. “You know why this happened right? You let go” He chuckled lightly, looking at the mirror in her hand. “I’m alright” He answered her first question, looking down at the mirror clutched in her hand. “Who carries a mirror around with them?” He queried, looking up at the assortment of people left in the bar area. Frowning at her as she gave him permission to join Mercy’s group...did she want him to leave? “I’d rather stay with you” He admitted in a low voice, rubbing the back of his neck as the top of his cheeks tinted pink. “Did you want something from the bar?” He asked quickly afterwards trying to shift his embarrassment. He looked up as the colorful guy Darwin exclaimed about the mirror, running towards them. Crash resisted the urge to clip him over the back of the head for throwing it in the first place but he contained himself. “It’s kind of broken now as well...” Crash pointed out to Darwin. “Sorry about that” he sighed, automatically taking the blame for the damage to the mirror as if it was his fault it was broken.
Crash glanced at Mercy as she moved to stand next to him for a moment; he noted the smug smile on her face and tried to avoid looking at her. Oh god, please don’t... He put a hand to his face as Mercy introduced herself to Kathy. “Er-erm I don’t think I did, I was just...telling Mercy about all of the other students” He stuttered cutting across Mercy, giving her a look that undoubtedly meant bugger off. He tried to stop the blood rushing to his face, he had been dreading Mercy enrolling into Athalia. “Maybe I was mistaken...anyway we’re off to the pool, catch you two later”He glared at her as she grinned at him, offering a sly wink before she moved off towards the pool. I know she’ll be invaluable if demons attack...but she’s going to destroy my social life It was like having an older sibling about, one that took pleasure in his embarrassment.
Little Feather & Lion - Assault of the broom stick wielder!
Little Feather looked at both of her companions shaking her head but smiling. “Of course you’re right, he’s probably causing havoc down there” She sighed as they both answered with a no. She looked up as she heard a shrill cry escape the small shack. She pulled a face and rushed down the hill towards the shack, sure that Dani and Seven would be following her as she did. She rounded the corner breathlessly as she hadn’t dared to breathe as she ran. Her pale seaweed green eyes instantly found Lion’s bulk running along the beach as an old lady chased after him with a broom stick, trying to batter him with it.
“Rotten lion! That was my barbecued chicken, you spit it out you blighter!” Lion was running around with a plastic basket stuck on his head so he couldn’t even see where he was going. Little Feather couldn’t contain the laughter that burst free of her chest at the sight before her, she actually had to clutch her sides after a while as she felt a stitch coming on. I can hear you laughing! Help me! Lion yowled at them, grumbling as the broomstick thwacked the basket on his head. “haha, no chance Lion” Little Feather laughed, finally calmly herself enough to speak. She moved inside the food shack, allowing Lion to stew in his own mess for a while. He needed the exercise anyway... “What is best to eat here?” She asked Seven and Dani, a little unsure of what was really being offered.
