Post 2 of the MEGA COLLAB: Preparations, Maria Cross and many 'Hilly Balboa's'GardenGarden while look for some inspiration heard Lady Oona speaking. "Garden they're starting the game" She turned back to see lady Oona heading towards the event, she nodded and immediately to Lady Oona. "Oh cool, so excited but I do wonder why boys versus girls...kind of weird for me though but I guess it wouldn't change the game that much." She smiled as she skipped lightly to the event. Oddly enough an idea pop in her head, she could create a gigantic sand rose! She once again with enthusiasm clapped her hand together and giggled. "Got it!" Now she positioned herself ready for the water balloon dodgeball fight. "Oh, Lady Oona if maybe in the sand sculpting event we can work together."
Maria CrossSuddenly, the wind around the students picked up and a heli flew down from the sky. On the side, Maria Cross stood, leaning off the side, a wide grin on her face. She jumped from the chopper and waved it away. It flew off in the distance, headed to some unknown location. Maria stood with a large grin on her face, her arms crossed over her
electric yellow bikini top. Her feet were bare and she had nothing with her. Suddenly, a towel began to float down from the sky and landed rather... neatly on one of the nearby lawn chairs.
"Well? Are we ready to play?" She asked, a smirk on her face. Her eyes glanced over at Ryuu.
Good... He's okay.CrashCrash gave Ara a quick nod before he quickly shot over to Kathy and her shoulder companion, reaching out he touched her unoccupied shoulder to coax her attention away from the blue haired boy. "You're playing right?" He grinned at her, offering the blue haired boy a warm smile as well. "Hey, I'm Crash" He introduced himself to the small chibi politely giving the boy a few moments to reply.
KathyTurning around at the slight tap on the shoulder, Kathy smiled as she looked at Crash. "Of course. No holding back, alright?" Then looking between Crash and Alex she added, "Perfect timing. This is the one I wanted to introduce you to. Crash is really nice, I'm sure you'll have more fun playing together on his team don't you think?" She would've introduced the two of them to each other, but she wanted to give Alex a chance to talk to Crash himself.
AlexAlex blinked when Kathy turned away from him. His eyes travel to the hand still linger on her shoulder and then he followed it to the owner as the hand was brought back. His eyes narrowed as he looked at the redheaded male. He jumped and flew up and over to her other shoulder, as if trying to keep the boy away. Alex glared at the boy as he introduced himself. Crash, eh? What a stupid name... Alex's line of sight drifted over to the side, away from Crash.
"I'm Alex." He said, his voice soft and held just a hint of malice. His head turned sharply at Kathy's words, as if he was physically stuck.
"But..." He began, his brows furrowed as small tears began to form in his eyes.
"I want to be near you..." He continued, his voice only loud enough that she could hear. He didn't want to be seperated from her and he wouldn't allow it. No matter how nice this guy was, he knew none of those guys really liked him. They all gave him fake smiles and made snide remarks behind his back. No. Girls were much nicer to him and... He sighed and looked up at Kathy. He wanted to ask her to be his... Mother. But right now would be an awkward time, wouldn't it? She didn't really know him... Alex shook his head and put a wide grin on his face.
"Why can't I stay with you Kathy? I won't get in the way, I promise!" He told her, smiling brightly.
Oona & GardenOona shrugged "i'm not entirely sure why they're having us do boys vs girls, but it'll certainly be interesting"
she got into position as Garden seemed to come to a conclusion and clapped with Joy again, it made Oona smile without realizing it.
then Garden suggested they work together in the sand-sculpting contest Oona was delighted "i like that idea Garden! Thank You!"
Garden gave an another sweet smile and waited patiently for the event to start. "No problem, its better to work with a team then being alone" Garden giggled very lightly.
Kathy"Hmm..." Kathy didn't know why Alex didn't seem all that enthusiastic to go along with Crash, but it wasn't fair to force him to do anything he didn't want to. Moreover, she didn't want him to feel like she was trying to push him away. Returning his smile she answered, "Of course you can. We'll just have to try extra hard to make sure none of those balloons hit us then." She didn't really want to think what would happen if one of the balloons hit the small boy on her shoulder directly. Even if the projectiles were soft, she wasn't exactly a short girl herself and the fall could've been dangerous. At least no one was allowed to use their abilities. It would've been one thing if she was facing everyone and their unique powers, but if they were playing by the rules of ordinary people then she was quite confident in her own physical abilities.
CrashCrash was a little confused by Alex's reaction to him he frowned as Alex glared at him whilst he introduced himself, he had to think back over what he'd said. If he'd made the little guy uncomfortable he'd feel guilty... "Well its really nice to meet you Alex" He decided on saying to the blue haired boy, again accompanying the words with a warm smile one that reached his eyes. There was no way he'd been mean that time right? Oh wait, he frowned as Alex looked to be on the verge of tears for a moment he could of sworn he whispered something to Kathy but he couldn't make out the words apparently his ears were no longer sensitive...He watched the exchange between Alex and Kathy his mouth unintentionally curving up into a soft affectionate smile. Alex was acting as if he were a young child though Crash wasn't sure if he actually was or not he could only assume he was seeing him like this, but the way Kathy was with him was rather cute...he shook his head, composing himself as he lifted his hand to the back of his neck briefly. "Great as if I wasn't at enough of a disadvantage" He jested, grinning at the pair. "Right, well I'll wish you good luck all the same...Don't hold back on me" He aimed his last comment at Kathy accompanying it with a quick wink as he grinnned mischievously. Moving over to the guys starting line he quickly pulled his shirt off throwing it onto the sand by the side of the court, Crash was rather well toned apparently though he didn't look it when fully covered up. The only blemish on his torso was a long jagged scar stretching across his left pectoral muscle, it was visible from a distance and seemed to pull peoples attention, imperfections had a tendency of doing that.
AlexAlex ignored Crash, preferring to pretend he didn't exist. He sighed. Maybe he'd been rude but... He touched Kathy... Alex couldn't explain why he liked Kathy so much... She was... kind? He looked up at her face, still sitting on her shoulder, his hands held neatly in his lap. She was the first one to really take notice of him and she was so kind. He smiled as they went to the female side of the team. He leaned over and laid down, his head resting against Kathy's neck, his feet hanging ever so slightly off her shoulder. He grinned up at her, his eyes watching her look around.
"Nothing bad will happen." He told her, trying to reassure her.
"If anyone tries to hurt you, Alex will protect you!" He said, giggling at his own little joke. Honestly, he would protect her but she probably thought he couldn't do anything. Which... was true. In all honesty, he was pretty useless. Pixie weren't good for much beside support magic. He let out a small sigh as he watched the clouds. He could make a flower out of snow for her... but that was about it.
Little Feather & LionLittle Feather looked over at Seven when she noticed the bakeneko was rolling around on the floor laughing as well, probably at the mental image of Lion charging about the sand valiantly dodging water balloons whilst she held on for dear life...either that or the 'valiant steed' bit got him. She lifted her hand running her fingers through her fringe she'd lost sight of Dani by now. Lion grinned at Seven, blinking as he shot underneath his large mass he lowered his head so it was leant on the floor and looked at Seven
You hate water this much? He grumbled lightly at the bakeneko.
Ryuu - Otaku extraordinaire & Maria Cross - Ryuu felt taken aback at how some random woman managed to pop out of nowhere and enter the court. There was also the fact that this random woman was the
principal of the academy. The otaku gulped: she seemed like a nice person, but just what was she weari-
He blinked.
Wait, was he genuinely staring at someone with awe? That could not be! He was always in charge of his body. Of course nothing would-
Oh, it's because of her... her... Hilly Balboas. Yeah. Hilly Balboa. The otaku did not want to admit that every single woman around here was making him panic... with joy. That alone felt extremely weird, but he quickly reminded himself that the principal was the very same person that saved his life.
Ryuu simply turned away from the woman, rubbing his cheek, annoyed by the fact that he was making a fool out of himself. He needed to focus... in all of these patches of fresh fruits, he needed to keep himself under control.
Maria raised a brow at Ryuu and a wicked smile grew on her lips. It'd been awhile since she'd teased anyone... She tried her best to hide the smile on her face and walked over to the net.
"Oh, Ryuuuuu!" She called in a sing song voice, a small smile on her face. Her eyes were bright with merry, enjoying herself.
"Won't you come over here and talk to me? I'm so lonely over here!" She continued, trying her best to contain her grin. She didn't want to give it all away from the get go.
The otaku froze.
Was the
principal calling him out? No, more importantly, what the hell was up with her tone?! His face resembling the color of his red plasma, he barely managed to turn his head around as if it were a piece of some clockwork.
Ryuu quietly walked over to the principal, though he looked humorously nervous. His heart was racing. He could feel it! This tension! This excitement! This very feeling of adrenaline was only felt whenever he was-
EXPELLED?!?!?!The otaku stopped in his tracks.
...
...
...
...Nah, she's probably got some other kind of business with me. But...Ryuu felt his eye wander around dangerously.
He mentally smacked himself in the head, telling himself,
Dammit! Why is EVERY SINGLE WOMAN IN HERE SO HOT?!?! It's like I'm in... I dunno, The World Only God Knows or something!?Soon enough- actually, it took him a whole minute- Ryuu managed to inch his way toward the woman. He quietly stood in front of the net, glancing at her nervously. He felt his
virginity manly hormones kicking his body systems up a notch again.
Maria suppressed her giggles as the boy made his way toward her.
"I've got something to tell you, Ryuu. Step into my office." She told him humorously.
With a grin on her face she motioned him to follow her as she squatted down, her elbows resting on her knees. She leaned in close when he got down with her and motioned for him to get closer.
The otaku gulped. With a great amount of reluctance, he leaned closer, though he looked visibly nervous at this point. He wondered just what she was going to do...
A large toothy grin appeared on the woman's face. She leaned in closer to his ear, close enough that he'd be able to feel the heat of her skin on his cheek. Her lips pursed and she sucked up a bit of air and then... released. Blowing a strong stream of slightly... maybe sort of... electrically charged air into his ear.
Ryuu shivered when she took a small breath next to him. It tickled him, but the feeling he felt from the air certainly was not as large-scaled as when she blowed a fresh stream of charged electrons into his ear.
The otaku froze.
He suddenly leapt into the air, actually managing to crash into something way up there, before falling to the ground like a wrecking ball. He quickly scrambled away from the principal, his eyes wide in surprise as his face turned beet red out of humiliation... and innocent embarrassment as well. The otaku pointed at the woman as he nervously exclaimed, "That was
NOT f-funny!!!"
Maria simply stayed where she was. Not really moving much as she watched the boy fly into the air and then scramble away. He wasn't until he shouted at her that she moved. Her lips shook as laughter erupted from her stomach. She doubled over, falling on her back as she pointed her finger at the poor boy.
"You fell for that so well!" She explained through the laughter.
After a few moments, she gathered herself again and sat up in the sad. She wiped the tears from her eyes and grinned up at Ryuu.
"Thanks kid. I needed a laugh today." She told him. Her eyes suggested sadness yet her lips were curved into a smile.
Earlier that day...
Maria sat at her desk, filling out paper work as the sounds of drilling and hammers resounded around her. Slowly but surely, the school was being rebuilt. The white haired woman filled out paperwork on after another, not even noticing someone enter her office.
Brako stood at the entrance watching Maria.
"Maria. You need to get out. Go out to the beach with the kids and have some fun. I can finish this up." He spoke softly.
Slowly, Maria raised her head and lower her pen. Her brows were furrowed as she looked up at Brako.
"You didn't even notice me come in, did you?" Brako asked, letting out a worried sigh. He walked over and at down in one of the chairs in front of her desk.
"Sorry..." Maria responded, mentally hitting herself for getting this way. It was that stupid man's fault...
"You can't do this to yourself every year. You've got to let it go." He told her, watching her with wise old eyes.
"That's easy for you to say Brako. He wasn't your husband." She responded, her voice sharp and pointed. She turned in her chair and stood.
"But I see your point. It's not healthy for me to sit in here all day. I need to get my mind off of it. Still... My husband is none of your business, Brako. I'll mourn him as long as I wish." She continued. She walked out of the room and upstairs. Well, what were left of the stairs. The workers were still trying to reconstruct them. They had it well enough in place for her to go up them. As she reached the top, she walked over to her heli pad where her driver waited already. Brako was at her back, keeping his mouth closed.
"See you when I get back." She told him and stepped on to the heli. Inside, she changed and made her way for the beach.
"Alright. Now that I've had my fun. Ready to get wet?" She asked Ryuu, a sly smile on her face.
Ryuu blinked. For a second, he actually felt a little worried about the principal.
He concluded that she was just trolling him in a hardcore fashion. With a determined face, the otaku grinned devilishly, clenching one of his hands, as he shamelessly shouted,
"I'm gonna make you SO freakin' wet, you're gonna be amazed by my skills in dodgeball!"
Another roar of laughter erupted from Maria.
"I look forward to it, Ryuu!" She replied, sending him a wink. She chuckled as she got up and made way to take her place on the team. She waved to the other girls and to Alex, a gentle smile on her face. For now.
Once a Cross, always a Cross.
