– Crash–
Crash lowered his hand hearing Kathy’s reassurance he glanced at her smiling gratefully for her understanding response. His smile grew as she reached up to ruffle his hair, it had been a while since she’d done that. His expression slid from jovial to affectionate for those few seconds that she stopped, it had been a fast action but for Crash it felt like it had lasted longer with her fingers brushed into his hair, he felt the tops of his cheeks tint with color embarrassed for reading into it. One of his eyes slid closed as she continued to ruffle his hair, grinning at her warm smile and light laugh as she retracted her hand. He adopted a sheepish expression at what she had said Yeah...if I wasn’t already penalized for refusing to do it though he wasn’t sure he wanted to voice that thought...maybe if it had just been Kathy there he would have. “Good thing it wasn’t me hmm?” He grinned at her. Or you... His blush deepened a margin at that thought, he had been relieved that she hadn’t been one of the chosen numbers though he wasn’t about to voice his reasoning...
He was a little taken aback when Alex actually smiled at him every time he’d been near the pixie boy before he’d given him the cold shoulder despite the shapeshifters best efforts. He returned the boys smile with an honest level of warmth to it nodding in agreement upon hearing his idea, looking back to Kathy as she beamed at the pair of them he felt his smile grow in response picking up on her excitement at the idea it was incredibly difficult to not feel the same way...unaware his gaze had lingered a little longer than was necessary as she spoke to the blue haired pixie. “Hmm?” He blinked looking over at the beach towels she had indicated; he saw no reason why they shouldn’t use them. “Sounds like a plan” He agreed keeping a smile on his lips, he quickly retrieved the towels before returning to stand beside Kathy, momentarily distracted by the small gathering around Mercy he didn’t notice Kathy lift her arm towards him until he felt her fingertips brush against his own, he felt a slight shock run up his arm as he turned his attention back to her tilting his head to the side as he noticed the blush spread across her cheeks he frowned wondering what was up as she focused her gaze on their feet. His smile grew at her stuttering question just about catching what she said as her voice grew quieter, he felt heat rise to his own cheeks. “Sure...I hadn’t thought of that, good thinking” He answered with a grin, sliding his fingertips across hers hesitantly unsure whether she meant right then or when they got outside.
Did she mean now or later? I really need to work on my social perception or at least my Kathy perception...That was definitely something he needed to do, he must have done something wrong earlier to receive a flick to the forehead...Before he could think too much into it he gently attempted to take her hand within his own. Prepared for her to withdraw from the contact of course secretly hoping she wouldn’t. He had been pleasantly surprised that she had even suggested it, he hadn’t expected it all. He was surprised at how self conscious he felt about the simple action; laying it down to the fact he was worried one offhand comment from someone else could make her change her mind... “Shall we?” He grinned at both Kathy and Alex, nodding his head towards the door before moving towards it either falling into step next to Kathy if she had accepted his hand or slightly ahead of them, eager to start their adventure.
– Mercy –
Mercy was relieved to see Darwin beam at her after she had assured him he was still awesome, she was glad to see him back to his old smiley self. Mercy was distracted by Zivon again, she could almost sense Zivon’s panic, whether it was magic or not she had a natural sixth sense about what people were feeling. In fairness it wasn’t magic, it was a heightened sense what people rarely thought on was how much their emotion leaked through in everything they did, their body language, speech even possibly in scent, one just needed to know what to look for. Not that the blue eyed woman could rely on the olfactory senses...She felt good being able to use her abilities to aid another, it brought a sense of fulfillment knowing she could at least alleviate the boy of his physical pain. Mercy smiled at Zivon as he glanced at her clearly happy she had been able to help him, her high pain threshold was challenged by the injuries she had transferred from the boy yet again she had pushed an extra spruce of energy into her healing to help him feel refreshed. She tilted her head to the side as he asked her for her name, she grinned at him. “Don’t worry about it, I should have introduced myself better. I’m Mercy pleasure to meet you” She introduced herself holding out a hand in greeting though she didn’t entirely expect him to take it.
The blue eyed woman felt a slight wave of disappointment ass over her as Zivon and the others showed no sign of moving off. She mentally sighed How bothersome... “Or not...” She murmured, her warm smile returning as she watched Darwin hold out skittles to Zivon, chuckling at the nickname he gave the nervous boy. Her amusement drained however as she heard him say the skittles were from Russia, unsure whether they were the same ‘black-market’ skittles from earlier. “Oh erm-” She started cutting herself off as Zivon popped a red skittle into his mouth. Oh dear...hopefully they weren’t the cyanide ones... She thought running her fingers into her fringe trying not to worry too much over that fact. Mercy was convinced she wasn’t do a very good job of hiding her pain as not only did she notice Crash cast her a concerned look, Darwin was doing the same and now Zivon was. It was irritating...she looked up at Darwin as he spoke to her with a small giggle before he held his hand out to her, she couldn’t remain irritated near the jovial unicorn it was impossible.
She gratefully accepted his hand though her face fell as he questioned her on her well being, she cast a quick look at Zivon, holding onto Darwin’s hand for a while longer without moving. “Y-yeah, I’m fine just healing can be a bit...taxing” Mercy assured the unicorn as she got to her feet slowly using his offered hand to assist her to her feet though she didn’t put any weight on her right leg, she tried but it wasn’t happening without some kind of support...how had Zivon been walking around on it? She cast a glance at the nervous boy, seeing as he hadn’t moved yet she noticed he had retreated in on himself she may not have heard him crying but she could kind of just tell. She looked back at Darwin apologetically, finally releasing his hand she was rather glad the bar was so close by. “Thank you, how very chivalrous of you” She thanked him with a playful wink before she hopped over to the bar.
“Ok... so maybe a little damaged but not much” She grinned sheepishly, lifting herself up onto it, swiveling around she dropped down the other side disappearing from view as she returned the first aid box back to where Drow had got it from when she reappeared a few minutes later she hopped back up onto the bar repeating the swiveling motion and hopping back down carefully. “It’s no big deal though, I heal fast” She smiled reassuringly at Darwin, something white was wrapped around her right ankle it meant she was able to weight bear on it and she was able to push any pain it caused to the back of her mind, blocking out the Dr part of her brain that chastised her for not initiating P.R.I.C.E.
She walked back over to Darwin and Zivon unable to crouch she had to lean down in front of the nervous boy, shifting her weight to rely more on her left foot she had one hand holding her top so as not to embarrass herself the other outstretched towards Zivon. “Come on Zivon, this isn’t your fault I’m the one that wanted to heal you. You’re not to blame at all, now how about you come with us to get something to eat hmm? It’ll make us all feel better” She murmured softly to him, managing to sound firm but in a gentle way so he couldn’t take it as demanding, she held her hand out for him to take as Darwin had done for her just minutes ago. “Someone lead the way, anywhere with food would be a grand place to be right now” She threw out there taking her eye off of Zivon for a moment to smile at the others.
- Little Feather -
Little Feather put a hand to her face resting her fingers against a cut on her cheek that had sliced through one of the red lines Leroy had painted on her. She retracted her hand frowning at the red residue that stained the tips of her fingers, the cut wasn’t serious it was just in an unfortunate place. She looked over at Dragonfly as the spooked spirit animal flew up to hover above her casting a beacon of light over her, she instantly tensed as she heard an unfamiliar voice call out to her by name. She looked over at the girl who appeared through the darkness smiling innocently at the young Lakota, “H-how do you know my name? Who are you?” The words rushed past Little Feather’s lips in a worried rush as she pulled her legs closer to her body. She set Vanessa with a very suspicious gaze as she came to kneel beside her, she didn’t trust the other girl at all. If it hadn’t been for Leroy she would not have thought to be suspicious of Vanessa, instead instantly placing her trust in the girl and probably accepting her offer of help. “I’m not alone, I’m not in the dark” She told Vanessa pulling back from her casting a glance in the direction the girl cawed in. Crow? Crows are a sign to stay alert, danger is coming Little Feather thought. How ironic that Vanessa was a ‘warning’ to the young Lakota...
Little Feather jumped as Seven appeared out of the shadows as well, she would have normally trusted him straight off the bat as well he had gotten on so well with Lion...but their sudden appearance paved a bridge for her implanted suspicion to flare up. Her fear overshadowed the implanted emotion of excitement and as she reached up to wipe her cheek she ended up smearing one of the red lines weakening it further. Dragonfly flittered about above her having calmed down enough to continue flying in slow circles overhead. “I-I was just going for a walk...” She answered Seven. “Lions close by...he went to find me a dock leaf for a sting” She lied to the bakeneko...convincingly. Something the Lakota hadn’t done before yet it somehow felt right to do it now, the suspicious pair before her were beginning to scare her. They want to hurt me, just like the others...don’t they? She got to her feet unsteadily nervously clasping and unclasping her hands as she did. “I-I’m not alone...I have Dragonfly” She told Seven, visibly unsettled by his strange grin.
“We’re ok thank you...we’re just exploring” She murmured to the other students, taking a step back she folded her arms across her body. “We’d best go catch up with Lion” She told the trickster pair, offering up a somewhat weak smile before she begun to move away from them moving at a funny angle so as not to turn her back on them. Dragonfly flew a few metres above her head offering her his light as she trudged through the forest with no idea where she was going as long as it was away from everyone she didn’t care right now
