- Little Feather & Lion -

Lion hadn’t meant to come across angry, he had been joking with the girl but he often forgot how imposing he was if people didn’t know him very well. He cocked his head to the side watching the blonde girl with his intelligent blue eyes as she studied her hands, he was sure his hair would have been stuck to her fingers as well. He may have been a spirit but in his solid form he still shed hair like a normal lion and had to eat etc. He shook his head and rolled his eyes as she wiped her hands on a shirt hanging from her room door, her and Little Feather were going to be a nightmare living together if Drow was as messy as the young Lakota was.

Little Feather hadn’t really considered whether Drow would be comfortable being so close to her, she wasn’t touching her being slightly shy of close contact herself but it seemed to be too close for Drow’s liking as she seemed to shift further up Lion’s body until she was practically up Lion’s neck. The beast below them seemed a little unsure of how he felt as the weight wasn’t distributed evenly on his back it made him have to concentrate on keeping his balance. Sensing his discomfort Little Feather shuffled further down Lion’s back, she looked up at Drow catching the small nod brought a smile to her face. “In that case you’ll need to turn around...or if you can’t travel backwards switch places with me” She grinned at Drow, showing off a little she lifted herself out and stood up on the Lion’s back placing her feet apart to even out her weight putting her arms out to the side as she shifted her gaze to the sky momentarily as a soft breeze played with her long hair. A wistful look on her face as she looked at the clouds, it had been such a long time since she’d travelled above them. She was completely unaware of any looks thrown their way, since the pair had arrived they’d received odd looks.

She glanced back down just as Drow looked over her shoulder at her, she slid back into a crouch leaning forward on her hands and dropping one of her knees down to make sure she maintained her modesty in her skirt. She tilted her head to the side, confusion passing across her expression as she watched Drow wipe some kind of liquid across her face and over her cheek whilst her other hand lifted and pointed towards Little Feather’s face. The young Lakota had a good idea what Drow wanted by then but her muttered word solidified what she meant. “You want some face paint as well?” She asked to double check though she was already reaching for the medicine horn at her hip, to check what colors she had on her. Green, Red and Blue were the only pots she seemed to have on her, she glanced at Drow before back at her medicine horn. “I’ve got some on me, Green, Red and White though the last two would be perfect for you. Red for beauty and happiness, White for purity, light and peace” She grinned at the other girl, she thought Drow would have suited green as well but she felt drawn to the ideals behind the other colors still...it was the blonde’s choice. Then a strange thought struck her...would Drow want her to apply the paint? She felt her cheeks darken at the thought of it, the last person she had applied paint to would have been her husband a long time ago. “D-do you want me to do it for you? Or are you...erm...” The Lakota trailed off clearly a little embarrassed but not unwilling to do so. Lion ground to a halt next to the lounge, deciding if the girls were going to play with paints he was going to suggest they sit on the grass here to do so whilst he grabbed some breakfast for himself...one of the chefs at the chicken restaurant had taken to leaving him offerings in the hope he wouldn’t return to cause havoc in his restaurant.

– Crash–

Crash was completely unaware of Fate's true intentions, the more she played the part of a frightened child the more determined he became in his search. Though there was a niggling feeling at the back of his mind that made him feel something was wrong, everything about the scenario was suspicious really if he thought on it...however he didn’t think it over, he simply ignored it and pushed forward. With his focus filtered towards finding her, his actions were far from clumsy and his mind filtered into 'panic' mode where everything was crystal clear and to the point. Of course with this intense sense of desperation and panic came the push of darkness within him, his eyes begun to glow dimly in the dull light of the ruins, claws sliding through the tips of his fingers and his canines indenting his bottom lip.

-25%-

After several close calls over the last few weeks, the darkness within him needed minimal encouragement to push for the surface. Sweat glistened on his forehead as he stopped to catch his breath, listening intently for her answer as it reached his ears he shifted his gaze towards the ceiling looking for the cage she had spoken of earlier, her distress pushed him further still. "I'm going to get you out, just hold on a little longer...OK?" He called back, eyes darting this way and that until they focused on the dull glow above him. "Want to know a trick for using when you're scared?" He called to her his intent to keep her talking as he tested out the wall closest to the glow to see if he could scale it.

The brickwork seemed fairly loose but he could see a small ledge above him, if he could just reach it, it would give him access to the glow...which he was sure would lead him to the cage, her voice was definitely coming from it. He reached up to grab at a protruding stone "Close your eyes and think of something that makes you happy. Everyone has someone or something...a favorite story-" Crash was just talking, his voice was smooth and calm despite his raging emotions, unfortunately he was cut off as the stone fell free of the wall causing dust to rain down on him from above. Come on...give me a break he thought with a grunt of annoyance, he couldn’t risk shifting again not without pooling the remnants of his energy together, his body hadn’t completely recovered from yesterday. “-A favorite place perhaps” He finished off as the niggling feeling at the back of his mind persisted to bug him. He reached up again hooking his clawed fingers behind the smooth rock as he pushed off from the ground, pulling a small wave of water up with his trainer it crashed noisily against the wall and made the lower rocks dangerously slippery, it seemed luck was on his side however as he managed to jam his toe onto the rock regardless. Crash – 1 Fate – 4...Better than nothing He thought to himself, keeping his subconscious tally...how silly it would have seemed if he had known just who sat above him.

His breathing became unsteady as he scaled the wall, sweat beaded on his forehead as good foothold or handholds became far and few between. He wanted to keep the girl talking but he didn’t really know how to calm a child down. “What’s your name?” He asked breathlessly, eyeing up the ledge above him as fear settled into his stomach, he wasn’t going to hesitate now but if he missed that ledge...it was going to really hurt. Purple smoke rose from his clothes as sweat dampened his palms, he listened out for the girls response but mentally counted himself in.

3...2...1...! And with that exclamation he leapt for the ledge, stretching his arm up he was relieved as his claws scraped against the old brickwork noisily sliding towards the edge before they jammed in a rut and held fast. By now he was completely in Fate’s view, she would have seen him pull himself up onto the ledge with marginal difficulty as his limbs quaked with the effort of holding him up. With ragged breathing he pulled his feet beneath him, crouching at the edge as he inspected the slither of glowing light. Normal people probably would have been wary of a strange glowing light, Crash however simply leaned forward and pressed his palm against it...without a second thought to being shocked or thrown about. Providing neither happened he pulled his hand back for a moment. “Watch yourself” He warned the girl before he brought his hand down harshly against the smooth glowing service, curling his claws forward as if to pierce it...

Thanks, also...Still waitin' for the #Season3, COMEON.

Yeah...this site keeps screwing me over when I try and post from my PC >.< (Pretty sure its my PC/Browser causing the trouble -.-) So trying to transfer things over to my tablet to get it on here...its a painfully slow process and I haven't got copious amounts of time to do it. Sorry dude :/

Am trying ^^' Also did try and say this yesterday but :( got treated to a blank page and failed attempt...but here's to hoping you guys actually get this message this time <.<'
- Mercy -

Mercy's eyes narrowed momentarily at Chris's response to her question, barely preventing herself from huffing in annoyance, she didn't want to appear rude but such an answer was callous...regardless of the situation and she was hoping for a way to prevent such an event rather than dealing with it afterwards, by then it would be too late. She looked over at Dog wondering how he would take the hinted threat unwilling to speak before he did on the subject. She cast her eyes to the floor exhaling a sigh at Dog's words, Olivia didn't appear to be threatening but she wasn't harmless...Tamashii however. Well she was another matter, without Mercy around her she was a loose canon with very little regard for anyone else except herself...survival was priority, but she was also a fighter back her into a corner and she wouldn't hesitate regardless of who you were. Armed with this knowledge Mercy knew she had to keep Cat and Tamashii away from each other at all costs.

Mercy looked from Dog to Chris, biting her bottom lip as she listened to what was being said, she hadn't known Chris had been the first to attack though she could understand why she would have. "Perhaps going in guns blazing wasn't the...best way of doing things. But in defence of that, all everyone knows about Cat is how he treated that dog and that he's dangerous...It wasn't really obvious that he hadn't hurt Tony either" She stated in response to Dog's speech, folding her arms across her chest as she slowly brought her breathing back under control, her heartbeat steadying to a manageable speed the calmer she forced herself to be. "If this is going to work we need to communicate better..." She added, her voice grew in strength as she spoke. She hadn't meant to revert to a jelly like state in the attic, it had been years since something had caused her to react that way. Never again, it was supposed to never happen again She thought to herself before she retreated from the past and emersed herself in the present. It sounded like a case of crossed wires...though she couldn't at this moment have imagined it going any other way considering the first impression they had got from the twins on a whole. Ethics aside however the new information Dog gave her also had her eyeing Chris suspiciously as she checked her over for damage, she hadn't realized Cat had harmed her. "Injured? Where?" She asked standing upright and moving over to stand just in front of Chris grinding to a halt at a respectable distance, watching her expectantly as she awaited an answer.

As she was waiting Dog continued talking. What he said caused her to shift on the spot uncomfortably he was very openly giving up more information on his brother, it reminded her she barely knew anything about them...and yet she'd been so quick to judge them. She lifted a hand to her face tucking her hair behind her ear as she turned side on so she could glance in Dog's direction, mainly focusing her eyes on the floor as she absorbed the information offered to them. Peeking up at the smaller twin she found herself watching his expression as he spoke, the warm smile on his face clearly reflected the solid affection he felt for his elder brother even behind the sadness. Her arms defensively curled around her torso resting under her bust as Dog paused and glanced over at them, she dropped her gaze to his shoulder to avoid his eyes as she had done to avoid Cat's gaze. Avoiding a man's eye had been drilled firmly into her mannerisms during her younger years, even now when she felt threatened or anxious she would revert back to it as a defence mechanism to lower her threat level.

Guilt flooded through her as Dog's words reached her ears, she turned her gaze back at the floor feeling the emotion pass through into her facial expression. "...I can't see how you could have helped him more than you did...was it even possible to stop him from harming himself like that?" She murmured, reaching up to run a hand up the side of her neck and rest against it lifting her eyes to watch for Dog's reaction. Her conscience pushed her to suck up her fear and offer up her assistance despite the fact the idea made her heart figuratively jump against her ribcage. "I-I could bandage his arm...I'm not exactly threatening..." She offered after a few moments of silence stumbling over her words in her haste to say them, funny how courage seemed to surface once the threat had passed. Feeling more confident now her mind was set on it she visibly relaxed and a glimmer of a smile tugged at the corners of her mouth, if you knew her it was easy to tell the smile wasn't sincere she at least hoped she could pull it off in front of people she'd only just met. "I need to see to Lloyd first...but afterwards I could go back up there, I've got enough supplies to share" She told him.

As Dog suddenly treated them to a bright smile she raised a curious eyebrow at him, that smile turned out to be rather infectious, it caused her own smile to shyly slip back onto her face. She was surprised at how light Dog's tone was as he concluded his speech on his brother, a cornered stray cat...Does that mean if you feed him, he'll assume he is god and demand you pet and feed him regularly? She wondered unsure whether she was disturbed by her own thought processes or not. Before she could question Dog further he had bounded out of the room and down the stairs from what she could hear. "What an odd fellow..." She decided on saying, more to herself than anyone as she moved back over to the doorway catching his hurried footsteps funnel off into the kitchen. Dog's sudden mood shift had eased the tension within her quite nicely if only her moods shifted as quickly, she cast her gaze back to Chris for a moment before past her to the resting form of Tony. A sudden flush crossed her cheeks as an awkward sensation passed through her. "Oh! Right well...I-I should leave you two alone. I'll just be in Lloyd's room if you need me..." She spluttered out, looking confused by her own speech for a moment. Neither of them probably needed to know where she was...so why had she said that? She shrugged her shoulders slightly, the warm smile returning to her expression before she slid out of the room and made her way down to her own room, to grab her first aid kit from her bag whilst she was in there she grabbed her swiss army knife as well...the first aid kit didn't have scissors and she wasn't prepared to spend ages looking for a pair. Once she was kitted out, she knocked on Lloyd's door only entering when he told her she could, she left the door ajar through habit alone.

- Tamashii -

Tamashii tilted her head to the side thoughtfully at Kaylah’s question as she hopped out of the truck, she wasn’t sure whether the other woman wanted an answer or not but she decided to offer up something in response. “I get the feeling Lloyd has lived here since before the world went to pot, judging by the fact they left the keys in the ignition they were either very trusting or prepared, no chance of losing the suckers if they’re already in the truck” She shrugged before moving onto her second question.

“Probably, though I bet it’d be quite effective at squishing a lot of those things” She answered with a devious look to her face before she moved to the front of the car and announced what she was doing. If only people were as easy to work out as engines... She thought to herself, it seemed to be running properly but she wanted to check deeper. She jogged back round to the side of the vehicle and turned it off watching as the woman in blue, wincing at the hideous noise the fuel cap made as it opened. She wrinkled her nose at the noise as she reached into the cab and pulled out a sheet of dirty cloth, she needed something to wipe her hands on she tucked it halfway into her side pocket opposite her gun.

Just as she was making her way back round to the front of the car her ears were assaulted a second time by the horrible screech of Kaylah dragging the canisters along towards the truck, her face became a vision of agitation as she looked over at the other woman who hadn’t seemed phased by the sound she had created. “God give me patience...if you give me strength I’ll use it” She muttered to herself almost inaudibly as she was finally able to settle in front of the engine. Kaylah hadn’t really done anything wrong, Tamashii was just being a class A grump, because she could. What the women in blue was doing was vital if they wanted to be able to go anywhere and on some level Tamashii respected her for helping out without complaining at all. She couldn’t go by the statistics but Kaylah was the first women she had come across that wasn’t precious about getting dirty...that statistic did include her best friend, who had only really ‘accepted’ dirt after spending every day running from flesh eating abominations.

Tamashii was completely focused on what she was doing as she leant in under the bonnet, she had grease smeared across her cheek and her fingers were practically black by the time she had checked over all of the vitals. She may have been an older model but she was in pretty good shape, she picked up the bottom of her rag, wiping her dirty hands on it as she stepped back and peeked around the side of the truck to check on Kaylah. “How’s it going Blue?” She asked, her mood had improved a little after doing something relatively ‘normal’ she made her way round to the cab standing by the door as she awaited the other woman’s answer.

Once she got it she reached through the trucks open window and fired up the engine a second time before moving back to inspect the engine. “Perfect” She smiled to herself, the only thing that could have made this moment any better would have been an old radio... Remember where you are, you can’t relax here She instantly pulled the tension back into her shoulders and looked around cautiously as she slammed the truck’s hood back down and strode round to turn it off again. Her sharp hazel eyes rested on Kaylah as she cleaned the hose up and brought it to her lips again, she didn’t envy her the awful taste that must have invaded her mouth as she did that...though...with a heavy sigh Tamashii trudged over to the other woman. “How much have you got? I can do the rest if you like” She offered rigidly. “Perhaps you could go and find the others? We need one more person to come with us...Oh and if you see Dog make sure to send...’him’ to me” She asked, though ended up adding an instruction on the end she knew she could do it...but she wasn’t feeling particularly social. Yet again she was feeling rather anxious about being separated from everyone completely...she thought Mercy would have come to find her by now.
Guild wouldn't let me post last night >. < will try again today!

That sounds fair :D youth on the farm probably not best to do something that may aggro Cat too much (especially with Dog gone and no one really know how to calm him down and reason with him) but Dog will be the bestie helped she can be :D and a peacemaker

Okey dokes, will try and factor that in with the farm idea ^^ Kind of want something to happen there as well but will try and make it less aggro more...something ^^' I'm still working on it xD Good to know about Dog especially the peacemaker bit xD Ash isn't the best at that kind of thing ^^'

Cat shall sit by himself until Dog comes back like usual xD

Fair enough xD Even with that knowledge I have stayed true to the character so the option of tense interaction is in my next post somewhere :P (Which is half written and stored away in a top secret vault....o.o)

Silver Fox said And Mhmm I dunno. After all so much can happen. (Zombies, people, psychos, etc)

Zombie attacks (individuals, small groups or hordes), crazy survivors turning on our survivors, finding something (either good, bad or ambiguous) in the town, someone gets lost or separated or hurt, infection scares, team bonding!

Hmm so much choice @_@ Taking all that into consideration how does this sound:

Thinking of a scenario for all of your characters where they will be given a choice to do something, it's going to make them have to work as a group/team and work around gaining a general consensus. For this to work my own characters will not be involved in the decision making, I'll stick to their personalities as best as I can but if you're happy with this they'll take on peacemaker roles for the most part and optional guides for the rest of it (Consider them as your safety nets :P)

Working from the ideas that you've come up with it'll probably involve at least one of those xD And will probably offer up something 'interesting' and useful depending on how your characters react to it. Not meaning to be vague! I've got a much clearer idea on a scenario for the fuel group, still trying to work something out for the other characters left back at the farm...so I won't reveal anything just yet. Give me a little more time to plan it out so I can present it properly and then you can vet it ^^' If you're happy with that?

Whatever does happen won't be massively plot changing because it'd be unfair to progress to far without Rarity. We can keep it interesting at a small level for now right? ^^
- Little Feather & Lion -

Lion purred happily as Drow ruffled his thick pelt, he didn’t mind so much his blue eyes followed Little Feather as she finally rose from her bed and decided it was time to start the day. Little Feather watched Drow for her reaction to her question rather than waiting for the other girl to vocally answer her. She smiled back at Drow as she nodded her head eagerly, she was glad that her roommate seemed excited by the idea of exploring with them...and she may have come up with an idea on how they could communicate to one another.

As she turned round to collect her clothes she noticed Drow release Lion and run from her room, she cast a glance over her shoulder at Lion who yawned and dragged his large mass off of her bed. When you say explore...do you mean use me as a form of travel by any chance? He grumbled at the Lakota as he walked over to her, and rubbed his head affectionately against her arm. “Of course I do” She grinned at him, scratching his head as she heard the shower switch on. “You love it” She teased him shooing him away from her as she disappeared behind her wardrobe door and out of sight, it took her a few seconds to get changed. She opted for a simple cropped top with intricate quillwork across it and a tassel edged skirt that fell to the middle of her thighs with added material either side of her legs so she could move without restriction and avoid looking too risqué. Lion had moved out into the hallway and was stood in the open doorway, breathing in the fresh scents the late morning had to offer. He jumped ever so slightly as Drow lightly fell onto his back and started giggling; the large beast turned his head to nuzzle the young girls face. “Hey! What is that your rubbing into my fur?” He asked her shaking out his mane as he waited for Little Feather to come back out of the bathroom.

Once Drow had left the bathroom the young Lakota had quickly nipped in there to sort out her face, she washed away the blood and dirt that she had streaked cross her face before applying her face paint with the organic based paint she had in her medicine horn. She had attached her tomahawk and hunting knife to her belt today, deciding it was best to keep them near if they were going to exploring. She bounced back out of the bathroom coming to stand beside Lion and Drow, she reached over and tapped the blonde girl to grab her attention. “Do you understand sign language?” She asked using her voice and her hands to portray her message to the other girl, she was really hoping she did. It would be a much easier way for them to communicate...well unless Drow knew how to talk like an animal. Lion’s ears pricked as he looked over at Little Feather Good thinking Cub He purred at his charge, before turning his gaze to Drow. “If you don’t Little Feather can teach you whilst we explore” He grinned at her as Little Feather hopped up onto Lion’s back positioning herself behind Drow as the large beast walked out of the door, lowering himself down so they didn’t hit their heads. “Right, lounge then on to adventure!” He told them, trotting along at a leisurely pace.

– Crash–

Crash hadn’t held any expectations on finding anything in the ruins, except possibly more creepy crawleys that would cause his vocal chords to produce obscene pitches. His trainers were becoming heavier with each step as they drank there fill from the shallow stream he was in, they were definitely going to be ruined after this. Ignoring the death of his last pair of shoes, the young shapeshifter walked further into the cavern eager to locate the glow that had pulled his attention in the first place, he stopped to run his fingers over some odd carvings when the pleading voice reached his ears.

He spun round hastily, holding his breath as if questioning whether he really had heard the voice, for starters he knew instantly that the owner was a female and held a very distinctive French accent...which in his mind was rather coincidental...it reminded him of a childhood friend he’d been forced to leave behind in Paris. Unless you’re imagining this...you are rather prone to hearing things...and talking to yourself it seems However before he could really ponder too deeply on the subject the innocent voice called to him again, her words screaming damsel in distress. Most people would have probably questioned the situation maybe put some thought behind it, Crash on the other hand didn’t think at all he literally bolted in the same direction her voice was coming from.

“Keep talking, don’t worry I’ll get you out” He called back as he dragged his feet through the water, he wasn’t unfit by any stretch of the imagination but the weight of his trainers was hindering him as he noisily splashed his way towards the sound of her voice. It didn’t take him long to find her, lead by her quaking voice he pulled up near where he thought the voice had come from. “Where...are you?” He panted looking around quizzically. “I promise I won’t hurt you...I’m here to help” He assured her, though he couldn’t pin point where she was. All it would take was her confirmation...one word and he’d reach for her willingly, innocent of her deception.
