"As to why the vampires ran out of food, there are several possibilities," Arty spoke softly still standing behind the bar. He hadn't moved to join the other hunters at the table, to be honest he still felt a bit out of place, like a kid speaking to adults, which to a large extent was the truth. "They could have been attempting to increase the over all nest size to stake out a claim in a larger city, or beat another nest to take another city completely, and misjudged how much blood the new vampires would drink, or they could have gotten sick or hurt, there have been reported cases where an injured or ill vampire will consume five times as much blood as normal in order to recover. If a sufficient number were to do this it would bleed out an entire town in no time, even if the town had originally been supporting that nest originally." Arty stopped when he realized the other hunters were looking at him and quickly stammered out an apology, "I'm sorry, I just, well 'cause everyone was asking, I thought I would, well you know, try an answer." He spoke quickly stumbling over his words.

"It's alright Arty." Ganny J smiled at her grandson, "That's correct, however there is one other option. One other possibility is that they were cursed, or twisted, by an awakened, or a demon." Her voice dropped to a menacing tone with the explanation. "If there is involvement of another awakened or a demon, you all must be prepared when you face the vampires. More than just being feral, some may be corrupted, mutated as the knew generation would call it."

"With that information, we need to decide. Do we hunt them now, while we have surprise, and foreknowledge, or will we wait and let them hunt us, on their terms?" Travis spoke firmly, and when he put it that way, there was little left to be discussed.
Or not lol in comes the fun killer
Connor liked party's, and people, and any excuse to get out of the Hermes Cabin was bound to be good enough for him. While he enjoyed the company of his sibilings, there was only so much of the cramped conditions any individual could bear before going utterly insane.

He had decided on a simple white v-neck shirt with a faded grey hoodie and black denim jeans a few sizes too big. He rarely looked well dressed, most of his clothes seemed to be permanently wrinkled, and overly worn, but he liked to think that maybe that was a part of his charm. He had buckled the belt with Logos on, but at the last second, decided that while he didn't quite want to leave the gift from his father with his thieving little siblings, he didn't especially want to take it to a party either. He slid the sword quietly under his mattress when he was sure no one was watching, then slipped out the front door.

When he arrived at where the party was being held the first thing he noticed was a girl, a new Ares kid if he remembered right, and one who had picked quite a few fights to start within a short period, was shouting something about a fire, which was a pretty bad idea when you had a couple of Hephaestus kids around with some liquor in their systems.

Connor realized it was about to really escalate when he saw Gaspard saunter up to the new girl. "Maybe not the best idea in the world." Connor spoke to himself quietly. Hecate was the goddess of magic, and if anyone other than Hephaestus kids were going to light the place up, or burn it down, it would be a camper capable of using magic, and while Connor was all for rambunctious pranks and partying, burning down part of the camp was sure to open a whole can of worms that was totally unnecessary. He headed over, determined to try and avoid disaster.

"Gaspard, maybe not the best idea to encourage the reckless behaviors of new campers?" Connor asked smiling widely. "We wouldn't want the party to get shut down, right as it was getting fun."
But but I like fire :(

Lol I think Connor can come interact, give me a bit to work on a post :)
I'm so sorry everybody, I have been super busy, I will get a post up for Connor tomorrow.
I will get some type of post up tomorrow! Sorry I have been swamped.
Hey everybody, when I said tomorrow, I may have been slightly ambitious. I totally forgot that I had fifteen hours of school today. Tomorrow there will be a post.
Posted! Hooray! I apologize for any typos or spelling errors, I have had a loooooooong day, fifteen hours of splendid higher education, with only ten minuet breaks between classes.
"Hey Koop, beyond that Mary's official designation as cause of death is non accidental?" Roland asked smiling at his coworker. He knew that she didn't enjoy town meetings during the best of times, and this was most certainly not the best of times. "It's officially a murder is basically all the information that was shared at the meeting." He shrugged lightly, "But there is currently a working theory that the D'finn may be being targeted. We're all heading over to the nest to meet with a woman whose son has disappeared. It might just be a run away, but you never know."

"Well, I guess we can just announce that we think the D'finn are being targeted." Connor shot Roland a sharp look.

"You didn't complain when we told Emlyn." Roland retorted. He knew that Connor's frustration came less from actually sharing information than that Rose was so mad at him. Roland had never quite understood the differing dynamics between the two, it was strange in a way, it seemed as though there was a feud being maintained with he-said-she-saids between Rose and the D'finn sometimes. None of them seemed to want to be around her, and she consequently never wanted to be around them. All in all strange to say the least, due to the tight nit nature, inherent in Vampire culture, which was especially potent with the D'finn.

"You didn't tell Emlyn we thought the D'finn were being targeted, you said we were 'attending another matter'." Connor's imitation of Roland was terrible, a high pitched mocking tone. "You didn't say what we were doing."

"Well a D'finn kid, who is also thirty, may have been kidnapped and we are going to investigate." Roland said smugly, as they arrived at the crossroads of Lakeview and Hillcrest, turning left onto Hillcrest. Another block and the Nest was finally within sight.
The D'finn nest is a massive building, made by constructing additional wing upon wing to a central "original" house. When Arryn became an official town, and new housing was built, houses popped up around the nest, however as the D'finn grew in population, they felt that in order to uphold their traditions the nest needed to expand, and so each newly turned member of the D'finn family is expected to buy a him adjacent to the D'finn nest, so that an expansion can be made to include that home. Yet another reason why Mary, the D'finn vampire who was killed was such a unique individual, old enough, strong enough both physically and in terms of will power, and respected enough to have been able to demand a house, not only separate from the nest, but actually relatively far away, on the other side of town.

This particular practice of building the nest up is unique to the D'finn, other vampiric nests in the city are large properties, to be sure, however, other bloodlines don't insist on living in such interconnected corridors, allowing branch families to build or buy homes off site.
Hey guys, sorry I was swamped this weekend, I will post tomorrow!
