It is the 11th annual World Gunpla Tournament, and the best 128 fighters around the globe have gathered in the heart of the Gunpla Boom, Japan. The prize is not what most would expect though. The Grand Champion will have their own Gunpla of choice featured as the main character for the next Mobile Suit Gundam series. With such an odd prize, this has ensured that only the most extreme and capable of fighters and fans are reaching for the top. The Gunpla Committee has announced that this tournament will also be very diverse in that there will be only a few straight up battles, and that many of tournament battles will feature special rules, clauses, and game modes to ensure there is never a dull moment. A key feature this year will be the various Survival and Team game modes that are to be featured. As with all previous tournaments before, fighters will gain points based on their performance in their matches. Every few rounds, the bottom percentage of fighters will be disqualified from the Championship and sent home. Contestants will be provided with room and board, food vouchers, and a sponsor gifted discount on all Gunpla bought during their time as a participant. Some of the participants were previously enrolled in a summer academy for dedicated Gunpla enthusiasts, and therefore know each other from past experiences.

Many of the players joining this know each other and are comfortable, but don't let that deter you. We're all here to have fun and write about plastic robots. Anyone is welcome to join while the sign up period is open.
Ball Guy nearly gave himself away by gasping. So this is what Dani had been up to all her life. It was heart breaking and astounding, really. Rou couldn't stand it. He considered himself a little tougher emotionally, but he couldn't help it. He slapped down his GP Base and the Radiant Rider. The Plavsky Particles surrounded him and he entered the ruined city. The Radiant Rider was an older model, one of Rou's first "successes". This did not mean however, that its performance was not highly above average. Ball Guy rode his Shield-Board right towards Dani's Stein. In a flash, the Radiant Rider was in front of the Stein in an aggressive stance. Ball Guy did not attack, but instead clapped both hands onto the Stein's shoulders.

"I'm so...I'm so happy...you have it..."

Rou began tearing up and sniveling uncontrollably.

"You truly...love Gunpla..."
Ball Guy casually walked into the local hobby store, feeling the hellish stares and glances of its patrons. Alex and Kasumi were hard at battle, never noticing that he had already entered and slipped away. He sauntered along the aisles making mental notes of what he wanted to purchase. Hearing the sounds of battle and chatter, his interest was piqued. Ball Guy quietly slipped into the room, and surprisingly found his acquaintances battling inside. Strangely, Dani was wearing the odd helmet she usually toted around with her. It allowed her to...control the Gunpla...with her mind? Was it like the G Fighter system from G Gundam? Ball Guy took a step closer, extremely intrigued.

I haven't, but I haven't even seen him lurking or online, so I don't think it would matter much.

Precisely. I attach small coin batteries in the shoulders and connect them via wire to the magnetic hands to give them more power. Then there are tanks of iron filings that the gunpla can manipulate into shields, weapons, etc.
How do you guys think magnets would work in Gunpla battle? I have an idea...
