Okay everybody, this is basically a Harry Potter RP with some Hunger Games similarities.
This topic is dedicated ONLY to long-term RP-ers!
Now you’re asking yourself how is Hunger Games involved, right?
Simple. Do you know the O.W.L.-s, those subject-specific tests the 5-year Hogwarts students are required to take in order to pass towards the next school year?
Well, I’m thinking of replacing them with an aptitude test similar to Hunger Games, which focuses on the students’s surviving skills and they may include :
• Herbology knowledge - for recognizing the edible and poisoned food
• Decent in Potions – for self-preparing ointment in case you’re injured
• Transfiguration – Human Transfiguration is forbidden. However, some tricky transformations might be quite useful for the participants.
• Dueling each other for the objects that needed to be purchased
• Lots of stamina and intelligence.
This is the Hogwarts’s Annual Aptitude Test – or H.A.A.T, for short – taken by every student at the end of his/her fifth year. The test isn’t mandatory for everybody. You may pass or you may not. Everything depends on you.The test is mainly taken by students who are planning to become Aurors, to work in Ministry of Magic, teach or any other important jobs. Planning to become a Quidditch player or a shop assistant? Or even better, Argus Filch’s assistant? If that's the case, then the H.A.A.T. might not be as useful as you think, so you can safely advance towards the next school year without the Test-Passing Certificate.Even so, if you didn’t pass the Test that is compulsory for your future career, you can always repeat the year 5 and re-take it again next year.
• Just like in the Hunger Games, it will take place in a specific huge arena. In this RP, the ‚game’ will be placed in the Forbidden Forest .
• Unlike Hunger Games, there are more players who can pass the test .The ones who will not break the rules and do all the requests - win, otherwise they lose .
• The participants’s main goal is to find 5 objects with their House’s emblem on– snake, lion, badger or eagle – in the arena , which are pretty well-hidden. The emblem could either be engraved on a stone, sculpted in wood, painted on an animal’s fur and the list goes on. But be careful, they could be a fake (a tricky Transfiguration spell used by some of the players to confuse the others) so you need to take the necessary measures.
• The players who manages to find more than 5 objects can give the extra ones to the students in their own Houses in exchange of food and necessities for surviving.
• The players who find an object which doesn’t belong to their House ARE allowed to keep them in order to rise their own House's chances of winning.
• The players CAN fight against each other for the objects using moderate spells .They can hurt their rival but killing each other is NOT allowed. The players that are being defeated in a dueling game and are unable to move/unconscious until the end of the game are declared rejected and out of the Test. It’s forbidden using strong spells and curses.I guess it’s obvious that spells Imperio,Crucio, and Killing Curses are a big NO.Otherwise, the culprit is immediately thrown out of the Test and never ever allowed to participate again.Or worse, locked in Azkaban.
• The time limit is 10 days .If the player manages to find 5 objects AND reach to the end point within this period, he/she wins. If not, he/she loses the game.
• The survival IS important. At the start of the game, the players doesn’t have anything but their own wand! They must procure the food by themselves.
• The House with the most winners will win the House Cup.
• Oh, one more thing. A participant doesn’t have only the other players as his enemies. There are wild animals and magical creatures he/she must avoid or fight against.
Okaaay, it might seem like a group RP, but I'd like to do this as an 1x1!
I’d like a male x female main pairing. The boy has to be Gryffindor while the girl a Slytherin. Both of them has to be in year 5 .The two have to know each other from a longer time and they have always been on bad terms .They are constantly in a competition, whether it comes to witchcraft skills or everyday activities. They do nothing but swear and fight each other (usually the girl is starting the mess - she's a Slytherin, duh). Both have strong personalities.
I'd like to see a development of their relationship from enemies to ...let's say 'decent' acquaintances, and then eventually lovers. I want H.A.A.T to emphasize this progress.
There will definitely be other characters involved in the plot, but they will act as episodical characters. Those characters will appear in the meantime - especially in the test - and will be created by me&my upcoming RP partner, as the story goes on.
I’d like this RP to be an Adventure/Fantasy type with Romance as a secondary genre.
So, anyone interested?
