” If I have to, I will turn to the draenei delegation here in Stormwind and make this a political matter…”

“….”

Malizia, who had previously been snatching coy glances at Silje and Kathlin, turned aggressively on Mei at this, who was still visibly heavily bandaged from her previous confrontation with the Death Knight. A sneer twisted her face as she studied the latter. “A delegation. Really sister. How did you even survive your first millennia?”

“Do not mock me, Ryunna. You lost this fight, remember?”

“…And besides, she has new loyalties now!”
Liaena attempted to cut in at this point, with a winning smile and a gesture towards Silje and Kathlin with a ‘speak up!’ expression on her face. Her non-verbalised plea was met with the dumb silence of horror from Silje and a raised eyebrow from Kathlin. “I don’t know. This draenei delegation sound like lovely people”

"Thanks, Kitty. Real helpful"

“Oh, is it a rematch you are looking for? Without hiding behind that trollop, maybe?” Malizia sneered, clenching her fists. A gesture towards Vashi made it evident as to exactly who the trollop was that she was referring to, as she gave Kathlin and Silje a quick glance and smile. “Wait for me, my doves, this won’t take long”

“Must I put you down again, sister…”

“…well, I think…”

“Only if you get in my way, sister”

“…that…”

….

Realising she was now being completely ignored in favour of squaring up against Mei, with all the rest of her attention being diverted towards Kathlin and Silje, Liaena stopped talking. A moment passed – before she produced her dart gun out of one pocket, loaded it and shot Malizia in the back at point blank range.

“Whhhuuu…..YOU!”

Swinging around in a dazed rage, Malizia lunged out with a huge fist at Liaena – only to plink against a shimmering golden shield that had appeared hastily out of nowhere. The draenei stared, before turning to look at Kathlin with eyes of pained betrayal as Liaena reloaded her dart gun. “My dove…why!?”

*fwit*

Whhhhyyyy……zzzzzz

*crunch*

“Okay. That's it. I’m done” Liaena said loudly into the silence that followed. Glaring daggers at Mei, the tiny girl poked Malizia on the floor with a foot. “Go on then. Take her. Take her to your Draenei delegation, or whatever, and don’t forget to mention she works for the White Hand. Also, get out, and stop getting in my way when I’m trying to do important things like you know….interrogate somebody. I don’t have the patience for her, or you”
Hi Guys...

Regarding this evening - I was fully intending to devote some time to post, however I'm currently feeling kinda extremely shit for reasons that shall remain unspoken, but may be somewhat political.

bbc.co.uk/news/live/uk-politics-36570120

I'll try and get my act together as soon as I can - I may even post - but if not I hope you understand.

(This is insane)

~Li
Liaena shot Sharon an ‘are you kidding me’ look as she turned to look up at the Draenei that very effectively loomed over her like a mountain. A very unfriendly looking mountain.

“And here was me thinking we had beaten her already. Ho hum.”
“Sooo….they would really like it if you didn’t hurt anyone”

Liaena said as she jerked her thumb over her shoulder at Kathlin and Silje. There was a painful pause from the girls behind her, before Kathlin finally got the memo: “Oh. Yes. Right! Don’t hurt anyone please”

“Not to denigrate your seduction prowess but….you might be coming on a little strong for them” Liaena stood on her tip toes to pseudo-whisper at the draenei. Behind her, Silje was still looking at Malizia as if the human was a little bird and the draenei was a hungry lion. Kathlin was watching Liaena with a ‘I hope you know what you’re doing’ expression on her face. “humans can be very sensitive about this…it’s important to treat them carefully, you know? Watch:”

“How about we all calm down and go get a drink or something?”

Liaena enquired at normal volume to the room at large. Kathlin gave her a long stare before slowly nodding her head in acquiescence. “Sure….sounds good”

“A drink?” Silje quavered, looking as though Liaena had just suggested they strip off naked and dance in the square.

Liaena turned her back on Malizia to approach the younger girl with a warm, motherly smile and a slight pat on the shoulder (the pair were about the same height). “Sure. Maybe something to eat as well, if you’ve got the stomach for it? You must have been running around all night at this point”

“B-but…what about….her!?”
Silje stuttered, staring past Liaena and Kathlin at the hulking Malizia. Liaena merely placed an arm around the little girl comfortingly, and also to steer her effortlessly towards the stairs. Kathlin glanced around the room briefly, raised her eyes heavenward and trailed after. “It’s okay. She and I have an understanding…..and she’s not going to do anything else to scare you. Right?” (this last was directed at Malizia).
“Can’t we just run and contact the city guard!?”
“City guard….yes, possibly” Kathlin mused, still carefully watching the Draenei for any sudden moves on the latters part. “There’s a few problems with that, for one it seems a bit mean to the guardsmen, and for another I’m reasonably sure…that she…will follow us”

….

Silje went a couple of shades paler as she peeked out from behind Kathlin to see Malizia’s eyes very much trained on her. “Uh…y-yeah, maybe”

“Ow. Yes, I’m fine” Liaena muttered as she picked herself up off of the ground. Dusting herself down, she double checked to ensure that chevalier-Rithrynn had not been squished in the event. This concern was swiftly alleviated as she spotted the little ‘elf’, hanging out of a pocket in her bag and looking distinctly green in the face. ‘Rithrynn’ shot her a panicked look at the sight of her, and in a harsh whisper: “Is she still there!? Has she gone??”

Liaena simply closed the bag sharply rather than answer, familiar as she was with the fabled bat ears of Night Elves. Glancing up quickly to check whether Naliyah had heard that, she was relieved to see that the elf was preoccupied….with the Draenei?

“…..What?”

Staring at the Death Knight who, rather than start any assault with the Night Elf, had seen fit to get extremely close and personal with her, Liaena glanced between Sharon and Naliyah with a clear ‘what the hell?’ expression on her face. “I don’t think I caused that?”
“Guile, magic or potions?”

“I’m a bit light on two of those…..” Liaena muttered, giving Naliyah a dirty look that the Night Elf appeared to be blissfully unaware of.

“….they seem to be reasonably harmless currently, at least”

Kathlin glanced between the two of them, then back at Malizia. “Sooo…about the whole letting the Death Knight out of the cuffs thing?”

“What? No. Are you insane!?” Liaena snapped back at Kathlin as she tried to ease the handful of her robes the Night Elf had her hoisted off the ground by, out of Naliyahs iron grip. It currently wasn’t going so well for her, even with Naliyah very effectively distracted. “Ooh, with those intruders – you didn’t see Rithrynn with them?”

“I’m just going to give the chevalier back at this rate. Information isn’t worth this!”

“Okay. Then I found out her name is Malizia”

Kathlin said calmly. Liaena frowned at this. “Is that all?”

“No, I also found out she doesn’t like wearing cuffs. And that she’d like to take me out for dinner. I didn’t learn any secrets of her culinary tastes though”

“….Ugh, could you at least try and interrogate her properly? I thought you would prefer this method!”

“This counts as a method?”

Kathlin let out an audible sigh, before peering over at Malizia. “Besides I think she’s about to break them anyway”

“No she’s…”

CRACK

“Oh….damn it!” Liaena hissed, reaching towards her satchel as she looked over at Sharon. “Magic then, and potions. They both sound good”
Liaena stopped trying to crane around Naliyah and watch the conversation going on between Kathlin and Sharon, to pay some scant attention to the matter of being hoisted off the ground the big Night Elf. “Well, she went upstairs. I thought she was going to find Serphia.”

“….”

“Kinda surprising she’s not back by now though. I hope she didn’t get attacked by any of the invaders from earlier. That evil high elf sorcerer, he’s still at large after all!” Liaena continued blithely. Feigning a look of concern she stared up at Naliayah, who’s eyes had doubled in size at this suggestion. “Do you think someone should go look for her?”

“Uuuuuhhhh….”

Kathlin gave the Draenei an odd look, before she leaned forward fractionally to study the cuffs more closely. “….Those are mage cuffs. If I took those off you, you’d be able to use all of your powers, which is a bit of a problem. You’d have to promise not to try and kill my friend’s boyfriend again.”

“Oh my dear….” Malizia smirked as she leaned forward. Kathlin took a step back to compensate for this. “….we’ll have better things to do”

“Or try and kill my friend”

This caused a sharp breath from the Draenei as she looked horrified at the very thought. “Hurt such a treasure? Never!”

Kathlin stared at her for a moment, before deciding not to clarify. Silje should after all be on the no-kill list. “Right, that’s good. And uh…. No killing anyone else. In this house. Or in general, in fact. No killing people. That sounds good”

Malizia let out a put upon sigh, rolling her eyes heavenward at the ceiling. “Oh, very well….I can spare them. For you, just this once”

“O-kaaaay then.” Kathlin nodded slowly, before turning to look towards Liaena and Sharon. “I’ll go and ask for you”

Walking towards the group of Naliyah, Liaena and Sharon, the former was getting slightly over-excited as she yanked Liaena up to peer into her face urgently. “Are you saying moi Rithy could be in trouble!? Why didn’t you say! Where did she go!?”

“Uhh….so, I found out her name is Malizia” Kathlin directed her words at Sharon as she bobbed her head to gesture over at the Death Knight. “And she wants to be let out of the mage-cuffs, and then she’ll talk. And she promised not to kill anyone if we do that. And Li probably should dilute that potion next time.”
"Didn't Captain Serphia take her with her? I believe they were having some fun."

…..Sharoooon, why!?

Liaena rolled her eyes heavenward in response to Sharon’s apologetic look, before turning to Naliyah with a casual shrug of the shoulders. “Well Serphia does keep her close, being her lieutenant and all. I haven’t seen her recently though”

“Hi Malizia”

Kathlin said as she studied the Death Knight warily. It was quite evident that if Malia decided to lunge forward, she would very ably swamp the much smaller woman. “I can’t do that, I’m afraid. I don’t have the key”

“….”

“And I’m not sure we’re on the same page about what sort of ‘secrets’ you’d tell me”

Malizia leered back at her, making a motion that probably would have involved tapping her nose secretively if her hands were not chained behind her back. “Oh….dearest, I am immortal. You learn all sorts of tricks”

“Yes, I thought that might be what you meant”

Kathlin peered over at the little group of Liaena, Sharon and Silje, all staying well back and now accompanied by a Naliyah. Receiving no help from them, the girl let out a small sigh before returning her attention to Malizia. “I was…actually more interested about what was going on this evening. You know, with the whole trying to kill my friends boyfriend thing. Why did you do that?”
“See? I knew our Night Elf friends could handle it”

“Sergeant Malizia is looking at me funny” Silje quavered from behind Kathlin and Sharon. The large Death Knight shuffled around on her bum so that she could scrutinise the three better, before her face opened into a big, soppy, smile.

“Silje….come….sit with me. I would drench this city in blood for you….you need not be afraid”

“I’m here! What happened? Is the Death Knight….” Liaena gasped, slightly out of breath as she came pelting up the corridor, to skid to a halt as she peeked around the taller Kathlin and Sharon to take in the scene. “…Oh. So....what happened?”

“It seemed our guest has made a new friend”
Sharon said agreeably. Vailia and Lelili were still groaning on the floor. Malizia meanwhile, looked like she was about to rise out of her stupor, letting out a grumbling snarl as her eyes fixed on Liaena in ire. “Do not dare to touch my doves, wretch. Any slight I will repay ten times!”

“Doves?”

Liaena glanced around in mild confusion before following Malizia’s gaze to where it was set on Kathlin and Silje. “Ohh, it means you two. That is….heh. Do I get to be a bridesmaid?”

“I assume this wasn’t intended” Kathlin commented in a tone dryer than desert. Liaena simply flapped a hand to wave her comments away.
“Do not argue with results, Mrs-DeathKnight”

This could actually be ideal….

Liaena studied the Death Knight, who was peering after both Kathlin and Silje with longing, before turning quickly back to Kathlin with the beginnings of a smirk lighting up her face. “Talk to her!”

“What?”

“We don’t need to interrogate her any more – she’ll talk to you!” The girl whispered in glee. Silje seemed to be going steadily whiter as she realised what the crazy girl’s plan was, attempting to sink into the wall behind Sharon. “Ask her what their plans are! Dooooo it!”

“….”

-Sigh-

Kathlin stepped forward, to walk into the room with the large Death Knight sprawled in the middle of it. Malizia’s gaze was riveted to her every move (Silje was at this point completely hidden behind Sharon). Taking the last few steps gingerly, the girl stopped where she gauged was just outside rapid-lunge range from the Draenei. “Hi.”

Apparently listening to her words intently, Malizia closed her eyes to savour the moment. “….Hi”

“So. Uh.” Kathlin glanced back towards the edge of the room, to see Liaena making a clear ‘go on!’ shooing motion with her hands. “Do you mind me asking why you are here?”
“That bitch! She’s going to regret trying to steal my Rithy!”

….

Liaena merely watched as Naliyah barrelled out of the door, before reaching under herself to grab a small, wriggly thing as she sat up. “You being entirely cooperative means I don’t return lost property. Kapeesh?”

“I…uh…well…” Chevalier-Rithrynn stuttered as she dangled from her fingers, apparently torn between some sense of martial honour, and dread of the return of Naliyah as she glanced fearfully at the door. “…Don’t think you’ll break me girl! …and I don’t know anything! Really!”

“I’d believe that.”

“You expect me to believe that?” the girl uttered scornfully as she climbed to her feet. Giving a chevalier a prod in the midriff, the woman emitting a gasp as she swung back and forward. “So you’re making one of us happy tonight, and it’s me or the Night Elf. And I’m really not satisfied.”

“N-n-no! It’s true! I’m just a grunt! My Captain told me to go on this mission so I did! A-aand I didn’t know about that crazy Death Knight!” Rithrynn wailed, very unconvincingly on that final statement about Malizia. The chevalier grovelled miserably as she clung to Liaena’s fingers. “I’ll tell you everything I know Milady, just please don’t send me back. The Night Elves, they’re crazy, y’know? I heard they swallow you whole!”

“… technically he’s not wrong”

“Fine. Fine. We’ll talk more later” Liaena snapped as she dropped ‘Rithrynn’ into her satchel and closed it. “I’m going upstairs. Make a sound or try to escape and I’ll serve you up with garnish.”

*

“Thank you. I actually thought I was getting a bit of a cold” Kathlin said meekly in response to the Draenei’s words. The girl scanned the hulking death knight, eyes settling on the dart in her neck. “And I think you might be under the influence”

“Intruder!”

“RITHRYNN!”

“Kick! Ass!”

“….I feel we should just sit this one out”
Kathlin observed to the smaller girl as the pair backed hastily away from the carnage that was rapidly developing. Silje nodded her head rapidly, looking very relieved at this pronouncement. “Agreed!”

“….”

“Stop!”

“….”

Sharon’s words went entirely ignored as the High Elf skidded to a halt into the atrium, save for Kathlin who rotated slowly to raise her eyebrows marginally at him. “How is the interrogation going, Mister Dal’dieb?”
“Agreed” Liaena muttered back, studying the miniature ‘Rithrynn’ that was on the floor before them. The doppelganger had no signs of the battering to her armour and body that the real specimen had sustained throughout their assault of the castle. Also, she was not looking in any way angry enough at the situation.

If need be, I can always dig them both out afterwards and check….

“HYAAAH!”

“Wha….” The girl whipped around in surprise at the loud shout coming from behind her, only to turn straight into a meaty boot to the face. “Ugh!”

Hitting the floor, mini-chevalier-Rithrynn gave a squeak of alarm as she was enveloped in the fabric of her clothes. Dazed from the impact, Liaena could hear a yell from Sharon as Malizia apparently initiated a bull-charge towards the exit.

Oh no you don’t…

Writhing around on the floor to scoop up the dart gun she had let drop in her fall, Liaena stuck a hand in her bag to pull out something vaguely ammo-shaped, jam it into the barrel and fire off one single wild shot even as Malizia was charging through the door that Naliyah had conveniently left wide open for her.

A wild shot it might have been, but apparently the girl’s incredibly erratic luck was with her that day. The dart jammed into the back of her head, and did…apparently nothing.

“Whaaat….that should have got her down” Liaena complained to nobody in particular, presumably Sharon being in hot pursuit of the errant Death Knight. The girl opened the barrel, to pull out the spent vial and squint at the writing on it. “Awww, dammit

*

“Uhhh….where are we going?” Silje enquired tremulously as they walked through the house. The pair had apparently made a stop on the way on their travels, as the little girl was now wearing a – surprisingly well fitting – blue silk robe. The ex-Serphia looked down at the floor as she scuffed a borrowed slipper on the floor nervously, apparently still very much ill at ease at the situation.

“To go and….” Kathlin paused, running through the situation in her head before she looked back at the girl again. “…help a friend not do something she won’t regret later, but I think she should”

“Oh”

“It’s okay. It doesn’t have to make sense” Kathlin said reassuringly as they stepped into the large atrium. It was still more-or-less deserted, save only for one elf comatose on the floor. “…and I do want you to speak to Mister Dal’dieb. You might be a good witness, if that’s okay?”

“S-sure” Silje waved in a not-at-all-sure tone of voice. She looked as though she was about to say something else, before hesitating and going a shade paler as heavy thumping footfalls became audible, and steadily growing louder. “M-miss! I think somebody’s coming!”
At that, Malizia thundered into the atrium to pause briefly, panting harshly for breath. The huge Draenei raised her head, looking like she was about to gun straight past them – before suddenly pausing, apparently becoming oddly fixated as she stared at Kathlin and Silje.

“Ahh! Chevalier – Chevalier Malizia! I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! But I’m not a soldier!” Silje gasped, before diving behind Kathlin. That girl gulped, before raising her chin to face down Malizia who was advancing on them in a distinctly predatory fashion. “Do please stay back? I don’t want to hurt you”
