Being a young nineteen year old college student, Gwen has so much ahead of her herself in her life. She's moved out to California when she graduated high school to get away from her family. As she was more of the one to cause trouble where ever she goes. So she just left one day with her friend. She didn't expect to actually stay there. But she just fell in love with the beach and the sunshine. After being here with her friend, a lot of tension has been going on between them. So now that her brother is moving out to where she lives, she's a little excited. Though she's not a big of him. He's the reason she left since their parents always favorited him more.

One day, he just came home from a long day at work to come across a note on his counter. It was from Jess, his fiancée, who wrote down that she was leaving him. He wanted to go after her but she said that he shouldn't follow her. So he stayed back at home, upset after he's been in love with her since he was seventeen. Now his life didn't seem so happy to him. He was excited to be getting married in a couple of months. That's when his parents saw a nice house on the market. It was cheep but big for a new family. That's a place they thought would be good for him, when Jess was still with him that is. So they bought the place and called him the night Jess left. It was all paid for and he should be ready to move in. He wasn't that happy but they talked him into it. He did need a fresh start and he would be going to California. He's lived in Chicago with his family his whole life. The one thing he doesn't like too much is that his sister is moving in with him. She goes to school out there and she doesn't want to live with a roommate anymore. So her parents suggested it, and she decided she would. Even though Ben hasn't talked to his sister since she left.
