Hi there :D

"Stop right there!" Cutting in front of the befuddled group was Brianna, surrounded by an collection of guards all much larger and stronger than Ambrose. "Think you'll escape, subject?" She smirked. One of the guards approached Ambrose and snapped his wrists into a set of handcuffs. "Think again. Welcome to your new home." She approached him and tilted his chin up, their noses almost touching since she was so close. Her eyes burned with malcontent. "This will be fun for us both."

Ambrose tries to step back, bewildered at their sudden appearance. He winces as he's put into handcuffs. His heart sinks as he realizes he's not getting out of there. He looks at Brianna with as much ferocity as he can manage. "I wouldn't be so sure." He says, pulling his face away from her and turning to watch the van disappear from sight. And only then did the tears begin to fall.
Behind every door that Ambrose encountered was yet another bizarre scene. A trio of children playing chess, one as an adjudicator. A scientist in a lab covered in chemicals that had not been quite properly displayed (several of them fell when she was started by Ambrose's interruption). A gym, full of many of Liwei's weight-lifting buddies. Two people discussing something energetically, each speaking a different language. A woman grooming a cat with a soft brush. With each bizarre scene, the inhabitant of the room began to give chase to the boy who had deserved them. They chased him up and down the halls of the facility.

Ambrose was feeling tired and very concerned for his safety at this point. He turns to the next door and opens it. He steps inside, well outside in this case. It was the van bay! He gasps, finally reaching his location. "Liwei!" He cries out, looking for the van that held their escape. But...in the distance he could see, with a sinking heart, the van driving away from the facility. "No..." He whispers, tears springing to his eyes.

Ambrose groans and sighs. "Sorry." He closes the door and runs down to another one, feeling frustrated and angry. "Why can't the van door have a big van drawn on it or some shit?!" He shouts angrily, kicking a wall before running and trying another door. And another. And another.

There was a man playing a cello behind this door quite furiously. This was one of The Boss's youngest sons and he was quite distressed by the interruption, since he'd just been seeing if music would help him to access his shifting abilities. "Go awwwwway!" He squealed in an upset voice.

Ambrose groans and sighs. "Sorry." He closes the door and runs down to another one, feeling frustrated and angry. "Why can't the van door have a big van drawn on it or some shit?!" He shouts angrily, kicking a wall before running and trying another door.
Dione nodded slowly and shifted to her human for. She stretched carefully, coming to her feet with a tender edge to avoid worsening the injury marring her side. "We should hurry back," she said, addressing Sacha this time. "We need to deescalate the other issue with Broms, you know?"

Misha slapped the interior of the van. "Of- Agh, of damn course they did! How do you think they managed to screw me up like this?" She growled, then narrowed her eyes. She raised her hand to her chin and stroked an imaginary beard. "I bet it's like some spooky Manchurian Candidate stuff." Her eyes widened. "They brainwashed me and fried my brain and now they've put some wild 'murder all yer friends' nonsense in me! I can't even trust me!" Her gaze floated to Liwei, pressing his foot down on the gas pedal. She frowned. "Heyyyy, buddy, aren't we waiting for your friendo?"

Sacha nods slowly. "That we do." She nods a curt farewell to Jayden and Elauna. "Are you going to be okay?" She asks Dione. "Feel free to lean on my shoulder if you need you." She offers, hating to see a groupmate in as much pain as Dione seemed to be.

Mona looks at Liwei. "He's your friend sweetie, that boy who turns into a bat...but we can't wait anymore...we have to get you back home." She sighs softly and looks back towards the facility, willing the boy to come out of there. Not seeing him, her eyes well with tears. "We failed..." She whispers.
The door Ambrose had opened was the staff room door. Benjamin was eating a sandwich and watched the door open with such enthusiasm he thought it must have been the guy who lived three doors down from him. That guy loved peanut butter and a shipment had just come in. It was not. It was a boy. No, wait! It was the boy!

Ambrose blinks, seeing Benjamin. "Oh...uhhh..." He quickly turns and runs out of that room. He gulps nervously and runs down another hallway, not bothering to shift, panicking a bit. "Shit...where was that door leading to the vans??" He tries to remember, but was so turned around at this point. He whimpers and runs to another door, opening it.
Dione chuckled quietly. "I'll keep your secrets, honey, don't worry." She glanced at the ground where the arrow landed. "Thank you for patching me up. Am I going to be okay, now? Or is this still going to kill me?" She wasn't eager to lose her life, especially with Ambrose still missing. With each throb of the wound, she thought of the trouble he could be in.

Misha shrugged, letting herself fall back against the seat. Her head still ached, but she found it easy to look at the blinding light head on if she squinted her eyes. "It's all super hazy for the past.." she trailed off with a sigh. "Ugh. I need somebody to cor-body-orbate my story, or I'm super dead if I ever get home."

Liwei glanced at the clock anxiously.

Destin shakes his head then looks up at Sacha and smiles, a little concerned, but not questioning it. "Sounds good." He looks at Dione. "Nah. I'd just recommend shifting human to relieve some of the pressure on that side. Walking is easier than padding, especially for side wounds, trust me on that."

Mona frowns slightly. "Hazy huh... They didn't." She pales, remembering the metal box and the head band thing she had seen in the room where she had gotten Misha. "They didn't electrocute you did they?" She whispers softly, grimacing at the thought of that poor girl going through that. "No, don't worry about it, we'll get you home and you'll be okay."

Brianna stood and then sunk to the ground. Kissed by a teenager? Kissed by... a subject?! She ripped her pen from her shirt pocket and clicked it furiously. The Boss was right, there was no way Ambrose was going to escape. His time here would be torture. She would ensure it.

Ambrose spots a door at the end of a random hallway. He zooms towards it and shifts, quickly pulling it open. His thoughts flit to Dione momentarily as the door opens slowly. He smiles slightly. He tried not to think of her since he'd been here. It was too painful to think of never seeing her again, but now, opening the door to freedom, he allowed himself to think of her, even for just a single moment.

"Take Destin and leave. We'll arrange training sessions for Elauna so she can become a proper healer." Jayden turns to Sacha, tail lashing. "We are now without any healers, and I hope you'll keep that in mind."

Sacha exhales and nods, shaking her head amidst the chaos. "Sounds like a plan. Please send a Brom to the river with Destin's things so we can pick them up later." She goes over to Dione and smiles at Destin. "Let's get you back to camp so Destin and Aya can properly treat that wound."
Brianna's forehead was indeed twitching and she let's him take his arm away from her. "You think shifters bother me?" she barks out a single laugh. "I couldn't care less if you were a shifter or a bug. The only thing that matters to me is the science. Subjects should not be up and about like you are." She grabs a syringe of tranquiliser. "Subjects shouldn't be talking."

Ambrose counts to five minutes and chuckles a bit. "Shouldn't be talking? Fine then." He walks over before she can fill the syringe. "I must be off." He then kisses her firmly on the lips. "Hmmm...spite tastes gross, you should consider changing your attitude." He then shifts and quickly flies out of the room, heading towards where he hoped Liwei would be with the van.
