"Agreed." Brianna removed the mark and observed the terrible red pattern which was left behind on Ambrose's foot. She leaned in to Hunter's ear and whispered to him. "Since we're going to have the subject shift anyway, how about we take a look at some effects on his animal? He's a bat... Any ideas?"

Ambrose whimpers as the foot throbs painfully. He blinks the stars from his eyes and tries pulling his arm away from Hunter. He looks at his arm with pain-filled eyes. "Why.." He whimpers and pulls at his handcuffs again, half-heartedly. He was about to give up at this point. Nothing was working, they would never stop...
"Ah, let's not dally Hunter. Our time in this lab is precious. Since I have hand free, I don't mind doing a little bit of the physical work to help you out." To demonstrate her point, Brianna quickly grabbed one of Ambrose's feet with one hand and pressed the heart-shaped prong against its base with the other whilst Hunter was burning the arm. "This should hinder any further adventures of yours around the halls as well."

Ambrose screams in pain as his foot is burned. He hobbles a bit, trying to keep his balance while at the same time being burned. He whimpers and tries to pull away from both of them at the same time. He could feel his mind starting to give up, but he keeps trying to fight, not willing to let them win. Not yet at least.
Hunter waits for Brianna to finish taunting before pressing the circle on the boy's arm, despite his struggles. "You can't go anywhere. The more you move, the more this will hurt you." The scientist shrugs at Ambrose's acts of defiance. They were growing weaker and farther in between. Soon enough the boy would probably give up, or pass out form the pain. Hunter didn't care which. He'd done things like this, and worse, countless times. It all becomes the same as the years piled up.

Ambrose flinches at the air warming by his lips from the heat. He gives her a wary glare before letting out a sigh of relief as she moves back. He doesn't get much relief though, because the circle presses into his flesh. He wails in pain, that hurting even more than the cheek. He cries painfully and pulls at the handcuffs. "Please!" He cries, sobbing and shaking violently.
Brianna returns with a collection of metal prongs with shaped tips, all of them white-hot. "Look here Hunter!" she smiled, sounding like an excited school girl. "I of course went for a classic circle - I want to see how the circumference changes and if it skews in any particular direction - but for the sake of excitement I have a couple of interesting shapes." True to her word, among the four sticks included a circle, a square, a star and a love heart. She waved the love heart in front of Ambrose's watery eyes. "This one's my favourite you know... Well, why bother to have you shift each time when we should do this all at once, hm?"

Ambrose whimpers slightly as he eyes the tips. "Because it makes more sense." He whispers. "You need to be accurate with your measurements, right?" He then squirms away from Hunter, seeing the circle change hands. He pales at the mention of an arm and tries to move his arms more behind him as though to hide them
Hunter steps back as she snaps the photo, and nods. He watches Ambrose as Brianna goes to heat the metal pieces. "Hope you're enjoying our hospitality," He says politely, grasping the rod in his fist. "You're our welcomed guest!" The man then chuckles slightly at his sarcasm. He enjoyed this line of work too much.

Ambrose's face stung as tears roll into the burned flesh. He whimpers and glares at Hunter. "Enjoy it my ass." He snarls weakly, blinking the tears out of his eyes. He glares at Brianna. "You bitch." He growls, pulling at the handcuffs again. He sighs, unable to get free. He watches Brianna warily as she gets the next pieces of metal. "Not going to make me shift?" He sneers weakly.
Ambrose winces at Brianna's touch. He curls his hands into fists when she lets go. As soon as the metal touches his cheek, he instantly recoils, crying out in pain. He pulls his face away, eyes watering as he smells burning flesh. "Stop!" He cries, digging his nails into his palms as he struggles to get away. He whimpers and pulls as hard as he can on the handcuffs.
Hunter nods and paces in front of Ambrose again, deep in thought. "Why not on his pretty little face to start with?" He motions towards the boy, glancing at Brianna. "We can do other parts like on the arm, and leg afterwards." He continues on. Hunter comes to a stop next to Brianna and eyes the bunsen with a dangerous glint in his eye.

Ambrose looks at Hunter warily, before flinching as Brianna taps him with the stick. He watches her a moment. "Please don't.." He whispers, tears forming again. His jaws hurt and talking hurt. He turns his head away, just about the only act of defiance he could do. He pulls weakly at the handcuffs, feeling the metal dig into his skin. He whimpers a bit in fear.
Hunter looks at Brianna with a hint of surprise. "Not bad! We should definitely experiment with that. Whaddya say, Amby?" He asks mockingly, standing in front of the boy. "It'll just be great! A nice experience." The tall scientist was feeling extra cruel today, due to this subject's acts of defiance.

Ambrose flinches at the nickname. It was what Dione called him. He looks at the man and then back down. "No." He mutters, unable to say much else. He struggles to find the energy to be strong and fight back, but just felt fear. He wished they would just hurry up and get the torture over with. No one qas coming to help him. He realizes that now.

Dione gave Sacha a weak but warm smile. "Don't worry, Sacha. It's not your fault." She pressed forward, side aching with each step but a fierce determination in her eyes as the limped towards camp. The thought of staying still and healing while Ambrose was still out there was something she simply could not accept.

Misha shook her head, squinting at Mona's naivety . "Pretty sure they'd hurt anyone to get what the want, genetics irregardless."

Sacha sighs heavily, still feeling bad. Her group mates were her responsibility and one was missing, possibly dead or horribly injured and she was helpless to help.

Monasighs softly. "I guess..." she whispers, tears in her eyes. She liked Ambrose and didn't like feeling like he was hurt.

As soon as Fabine took off, Vera also soared into the air and raced after the Rabin. She had headed in the general direction of the camp, so Vera quickly swooped in and pulled roughly at her hair with her talons. The girl shrieked and tried to pull away, but Vera lashed out again and landed a solid blow on her cheek, leaving a bright red gash. She landed on a low branch between the Rabin and the way to camp, eyeing her fiercely as she backed away and fleed in the opposite direction. She quickly headed back to the meeting spot and greeted Fabine with a nod. "What did you find out?"

Fabine nods to her. "Around 6 active Rabins in camp, but no sign of the prisoners."
