Misha stopped herself from recoiling. She narrowed her eyes a bit, then tilted her head to the side. She put a hand out in a vague gesture. "I mean, I've got a sob story, but it isn't so much fun to just tell the truth. I'd rather say I was raised by wolves or somethin'." She laughed bitterly. "I'm sure you've got your stories, though. I'm not gonna poke at it."

Fabine snorts and looks away. "I haven't seen my brother in 6 years Misha. I don't tell stories about my life anymore." He then looks back at her. "Ah, you've got a sob story? I guess we'll sit around the campfire and tell stories about our lives before the forest. Face it Misha. No one fucking cares."
She made a brushing motion with her hand. "Aw." She studied his face, her own expression filled with smug curiosity. "Were they not cool enough for you? Wrong style?" She tried to imagine what his family would look like, but she couldn't visualize anything.

Fabine gives her a cold glare. "I left because I could shift." He snaps. "My mom and dad never shifted, and I couldn't stand hiding it any longer." He whirls around in front of her. "What do you want to hear some sob story about how my parents never loved me, how we were always poor, that sort of thing? Well if so, go look somewhere else."
With a shrug and an idle tilt of the head, Misha considered Destin. Her memories were still hazy but she remembered how they had been captured and - oh! Aya. She slid a sideways glance over at Fabine, wondering how much he knew. She shrugged it off. "Oh, you do have a family? You didn't just crawl outta some pit in the ground, already full of yourself?"

Fabine growls a bit, lip curling. "If you weren't brain scrambled, I'd hit you." He then suffices to flicking her cheek. "Yes. My brother Demetri, mother Rebecca, and father Viktor." He pauses a bit. "I left about 6 years ago." He shrugs and looks at the forest. "Ah well, memories."
Misha snorted. "I'd hate to see how you treat you siblings if that's how you feel." She shook her head slowly, turning back to him with a look of confusion on her face. "Wait, so he really left? Or.. tried to.." She drew her gaze away and chose to focus on the patterns of pine bark instead.

"He's at the camp right now. I wa not aware he wanted to leave." Fabine growls. "So Vera and I went to get you two back from the Rabins. And of course, you weren't there." He snorts. "Fucking kidnapped." He grumbles, then smirks. "You do know I have a brother right? Somewhere in this vast world, my brother's out there. Someday you'll see how I treat him."
Misha flinched. "..Ya really don't give a shit about me, do you?" She followed slower, kicking at the leaf litter below her feet. She remembered with a jolt that they never found any firewood. She felt cold and damp in her clothes, now bitten through by the moisture in the air and the drips of water down the trees. It was nothing like the desert. "I just thought you might like to know there's a boogeyman out there," she said, voice low.

Fabine huffs, slowing his pace. He glances at her. "You're a Brom, one of the older Broms. Of course I give a shit." He smirks and shoves her lightly. "C'mon Mish, you're like a little sister to me." He rolls his eyes and looks back ahead of them. "Don't worry, we'll get you checked by Destin.' He says the name with malice. "And then we'll figure out the next steps."
Misha snarled and elbowed him in the ribs, struggling to free herself from his grip. "Don't touch me, douchebag." She winces. "I don't know. Like I said, they totally fried my brain back there." She went quiet for a second, grasping for information. "Uh - They're outta that desert way down the interstate."

Fabine backs away and scoffs at her, shaking his head. "You're an irritation bitch." He smirks and then keeps walking. "I hope you're okay." He says, not really sounding...friendly (???). He glances at her. "Desert huh? That's not too far away, a few hour's drive..." He hums. "Are you even useful to me with your brain fried like that? I mean do we need someone to clean up your drool and feed you smoothies?"
Misha reaches out to claw at him again. "The issue is that they electrocuted me, tryin' to make me shift, and evident-all-y they want more test subjects now that it didn't work out so well." She straightened herself as squarely as she could, looking up at him with her eyes without lifting her chin.

Fabine stops and then looks down at her. "Okay, I'm listening." He crosses his arms. "What's there interest in shifters? Have they any other shifters I should be worried about? How many are there, are they weaponized?" He asks, ticking off all the important questions. "How far away re they Misha?" He then looks over her and snarls, grabbing the front of her shirt and lifting her up a bit. "You didn't fucking bring them to the forest, did you?"

Kianna laps at her wounds but stops as Elauna calls out to her. She looks the girl over cautiously. "Wouldn't that really bother your wonderful leader?" She asks, not sure if she should trust her offer.

Elauna laughs slightly, shrugging. "Who cares in all honesty?" She walks warily over to the Rabin. "I'm the newer Brom healer. Worst thing he can do is make me not be healer anymore." She smirks. "Destin's joining your group, so he kind of needs me, huh?"
Misha makes a choked growling noise. She scampers after him, grabbing at his sleeve to try to force him to pay attention to her. "They didn't want me for the great company." She paused for dramatic effect. "They were looking for shifters. And testing on them. That doesn't freak you out?"

Fabine pauses, then ponders that. "Yes, it does. But you're back now, so what's the issue?" He asks, then extracts his sleeve from her grasp. "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm starving and would like to get back to camp to eat."
Kianna frowns as Misha stares at her, but rolls her eyes at Fabine's remark to her. She begins to turn and climb up onto the bank. She jumps up and lands, shaking the water out of her fur. The arrows had snapped during the fight but the head and some of the shaft were still embedded in her shoulder. She groaned inwardly.

Elauna looks at Kianna and frowns. "Are you okay?" She calls, grimacing a bit. A healer's supposed to heal...right? Plus this seemed like something that Destin would do. Best not to piss off the master so early.
