Evelyn was far in the corner, hair covering most of her face. She noticed a boy standing quite near her, hiding like her. Too bad there is only one corner she thought, This boy looks like he could hurt me... She shook the thought off, knowing she was probably wrong. She coughed slightly,from the overpowering smell of smoke, but she didn't utter a word, just in case.
Tristan didn't here the bell, but he saw shadows of people through the small keyhole. Just as he got up, Sister Mary Robert entered his room and spoke clearly. "The bell has just rung for a meeting, Tristan, you had better come quickly." He nodded and made his way down the stairs.
Sister Mary Robert joined the other Sisters at the front of the room. He listened-or rather watched- intently to the Sisters and the mother.
