Advances in the world would mainly be focused on transportation. Dirigibles and submarines would be more common. Subsequently, the use of a few dials would also be a thing. Some locations, school as prisons and bases would be changed while everything else will mostly stay the same.

Since you mentioned that dials would be a thing I take it the concept of sky islands are now a common thing? As i remember sky islander's were not a common thing in the era Luffy and co existed. Also I was wondering what "Schools as Prisons" indicate, it's a specific enough phrasing that I take it this is a specific idea.

As for location will we be visiting established areas in the canon and if so will they have changed?

Also in terms of arc, since you mentioned initial arc I have to ask if we're starting already as a group or as individuals that will become a group?
@Skinner35Thank's for your interest.

The general idea for Mission Control is that there will be a pretty big rotating cast with a minimum of 8 to 10 playable characters at the start. Within those PC's there can be as little as just two PC's or all of our individual players that we created. I imagine starting this with just a small group first with several unconnected arcs, but after a while a much bigger arc will develop all while the team/organization will continue to get bigger and bigger to the point that the cast will involve even non superhero personnel.

I'd like to do a trial run first, with two characters each, going on a joint mission together. They don't have to be super fleshed out and the story itself will be quite short I just want to see if this process will work. Naturally we will make the story together from planning to execution while still leaving a bit of surprise for the each us.

How does this sound to you?
Hi, recently decided to return to this site and try RPing again after what is probably a four year break. To get back into the swing of things I've decided to try for 1x1's that I hope will be quite lengthy.

There's a number of things i'm interested in doing, most of which are listed here, from fleshed out plots to just general ideas. Generally speaking most of these will require you to at least play more than one character, and will require active participation in terms of world building and plot creation outside of just responding to post. I do understand this is a bit much to ask to some, i know it can be for me too, but I want this to be both challenging and time consuming while still being enjoyable.

Everything after this quite is lengthy, which is why everything is in a hide. I don't wanna barrage y'all with a wall of text that you may not be interested in.

If something is of interest to you just let me know, I'm more than happy to answer questions and expand more on the premise presented, until you decide on what we can do.
I'd be interested, can i ask what's the range of post quality you're looking for, and story tone in terms of One Piece (early OP which is more slapstick, to Ennies Lobby which is more drama with comedy)?

Also where are we in terms of the worldbuilding, i mean i doubt much has changed, but i'd like to think certain things in terms of technology, lifestyle, and location has changed.
I'm coming back from the dead just for the Sense8 RP

Edit: I'm marathoning the series tonight so this is like the best time for it :)
I'll work on a post tomorrow when i can

Johnathan has not been outside in days. Going to the corner store to buy candy and soda did not count. Going out implied putting on clothes that did not include the words sweatpants, flip flops, and an old baggy shirt, and at the least clean ones and not three day slept in clothing. In the few days that Jonathan has spent hiding from society he’d ordered takeout food from six different restaurants, and have seen nine different delivery men and women. In turn the delivery people have seen Jonathan wearing nothing but boxers, wallet in hand, eyes twitching, and paint smudges wherever they laid their eyes on. To the untrained eyes of strangers and delivery people they would have assumed that he was a shut in, but the truth is he was just earning money. He just happened to look like a shut in whenever his work consumed him.

Jonathan was an artist, and thankfully not the starving kind. He’s had his fair share of starvation though. He worked for an agency that sent artist to where their skills could be of use. Jonathan specialized in digital character design concept for 2D and 3D art in a fantasy setting. His skill set allowed him to work in field that required a fantastic flair. In the past few days Jonathan has been working for a company that needed art renders for a computer generated short story. His job would end the moment the company green lit some of his designs, which happened the day before. Since then Jonathan still hasn’t left his apartment. He was playing Elder Tale. The concept of stopping anytime soon wouldn’t leave Jonathan’s head for a while.

---

It wasn’t a feeling of waking up because to Jonathan it was a feeling of being hit with cold water right after waking up, or taking a series of vodka shots both woke him up from a state that wasn’t asleep, but not awake. In one moment it he was in sitting down with posture so bad it was guarantee that he would be a small old man, a stack of takeout boxes in one corner, and the smell of a guy who’s been in his apartment for too long, and then in the next moment he was laying down in a grassy field, bow in his hand, and the smell of forest, not that he knew what forests smelled like since he’s never to one. Jonathan knew that he was in a new world, the skies were too blue and rich with clouds, or at the least he could not have been in the city. He guessed the countryside of a faraway country, he was somewhat right.

Jonathan didn’t dare stand up for a while. He laid there taking in the senses. It was one part fear of what he could not see, and one part he enjoyed laying in the soft ground. When he started hearing voices, and not the “in your head” kind, he began to prop himself up using his elbows. There were people who were arguing, or maybe they were just talking very loudly since they wanted to be noticed. There were also people crying, and not the pretty crying that they showed on the small and big screen, it was the ugly snot filled crying children made. And then there were others like him who just stared, laid there, and remained quiet on the outside while their insides were bursting with emotions getting ready to pop when their outsides began to weaken.

Jonathan didn’t take long before he realized where he was. He’s been at this place for so long that he couldn’t help not noticing where he was. He was in Elder Tale plain and simple. If the clothes weren’t a dead a giveaway then the menu screen that appeared in front of him, above people’s heads, and the NPC’s.

The moment he felt like rising he realizing he noticed his body feeling weird. The first thing he noticed was the muscle definition, he couldn’t see through the clothes, but the pronounced muscles were there. When John made Jaune the first time he played Elder Tale he immediately designed it with a lean and athletic build in mind. Thenhe noticed the height difference. Jaune was a little short, but any taller and the character would have looked too odd the young John thought, but because his player character who he now inhabited was much shorter than him the world felt around him so much bigger and heavier. He never figured that being six foot four would come to make him feel vertigo in this way.

Quickly figuring out what he needed to do Jaune decided to move. His new body spawned in a small town just outside of the player city. When it was still a game the town was used to help newbie players move around since they were surrounded by high-level monsters. Jaune would have been scared too, but he was level 80, and they all feared him in this area. His heart sunk at the idea of jumping straight into the chaos that he expected would be in the player city, but he needed to be with people that were reliable and at the least slightly familiar to him. He was going to see some friends.
Quick Question: Are we allowed to start near the city with other people or do we have to meet up with each other first?
I'll be working on one tonight. Sorry for the delay.

EDIT: added Jaune to the character tab
