Imagine a fantasy world where magic and steampunk technology mingle to form strong societies and wonderful nations. War is an unpleasant memory and dark magic has been purged. Medieval weaponry is the most advanced form of fighting, omitting magic, and airships run rampant about the vast world. Lore and legends aside, the idea of the RP is based around a legend known as Crator Island. (The name is spelled correctly.) Any realm of life, farmer to king, may be involved in the interesting tale of this legendary place. Crator island is a large island completely surrounded by three hundred foot cliffs. It is located in the black sea off of the western coast of a continent called Titan. A maximum of six players (as a start, it will be very easy to add new people.) and a minimum of two (not counting myself.) players is what I am shooting for. The main points of the RP are based around trying to get off of this island that is lost in the past. The island itself is in the Black Sea, making the myth possible. The Black Sea is named for the numerous Volcanoes located within its boundaries. It is adventure and survival based, meaning that the players need to make a functional party. Fighting beast such as wolves or bears will occur. (I won't spoil too much.) Races are left up to the user and simply require my approval. The objective is to escape the island without your character perishing. Death is a possibility, however it is not my goal to kill everyone. That would not make for a very fun RP. If a character does die, making a new character will be available. Staying in character is one of the more important things.
Warriors are not obsolete, however the goal in fighting will be more about solving problems rather than killing a beast. Though fighting is not out of the question. It will all depend on the party.
The opening of the RP will start with everyone waking up on a beach with their own story. This beach is roughly 1300 yards long with 500 yards of sand between the cliffs and the ocean. A large cave leads into the island from this beach, which is the only beach on the island. Did their ship run into a storm? Was their airship crashed in a typhoon? Did some magical power teleport them onto the beach? All of that good stuff. The players will quickly learn that this is a dangerous place, which will hopefully form the party. Lone wolfing is more than acceptable. Be warned, though. The island is far more treacherous when you are alone. There will be a story behind the island's origin and why it is currently so strange.
Before I go type up quite a bit of actual story, I wanted to see if anyone had input or interest. I love receiving input from other people, as it really can help with ideas. So, anyone interested?

I have received several questions on how magic and technology work. I will release a fully detailed dossier on the subject when (and if) the roleplay is launched. I do not want to spend my time making a very fleshed out place with a bunch of fancy mechanics just to have two people join and be warriors. Know that Demons and angels do not belong in the lore and necromancy is very restricted. This is the only real restriction on races. Vampires and werewolves will be expanded upon. Characters should attempt to remain Demi-human.
This idea is still just an idea. I do not plan on this being a run and crash, however I do plan on it having a finite end.

I will begin making the RP lore and backstory so that everyone will be able to create their characters and be on level playing grounds. Five people have shown interest and its been a little under 24 hours, so I suppose I need to get to writing! If anyone has ANY questions or requests, please PM me. Hopefully I will have the lore shaped up in a few days time.
