Your first mistake was mentioning it in the first place. Now someone'll definitely spoil it.

Bio
“My breaths came fast as the mist trailed through my body, strengthening and healing, pulsating and throbbing. I held my hands out with my head to the sky, almost in benediction, as I let it fill me, save me.”
“To err is human, to forgive, divine.”
"And who are you?"
Just another sod on this site, staring at this screen with a dull face. My name? I'll tell you eventually. My age? one of those numbers. I've been roleplaying for about 2 years now, 1 and a Half years spent on the phone app 'Geeking' and just under 6 months on this site. What kind of roleplayer am I? I honestly don't know. Certainly not the advanced novel writers but above the casuls in the free section. High casual? Yeah, that works. I don't know what else to put here, maybe a friend list when I get some. As for now.....
Also, don't trust that Online crap. I'm not at this laptop.
The War is cresting upon a century since it's inception, still raging on like smith's forges; who work tirelessly to keep both supplied readily with the means to kill one another. It had a name, once, it even had a reason behind it. Originally, it was a rebellion. A defiant stand against the Delphorian Empire, our oppressors for so long. Now? The spark of rebellion has died. Amidst the dead are the last checking embers of a fire waiting to burn out. The war has grown stagnant in recent years, settling to minor skirmishes on muddied fields. A stalemate. Each side too stubborn, too proud to negotiate terms. With it's numbers dwindling, The Saineven Kingdom has employed a Free Company to aid in their 'noble' cause.
So how will you Die?
If anyone knows how to create one of those, I'd enjoy a chat.
The Saineven Kingdom lies northeast of the Rotted Lands, in what'd be considered the last 'clean' place in the country. Fields of emerald blades dancing in oncoming winds from the Northern Sea, whilst flora and fauna alike coexist within small communities. It makes one forget that a war is ongoing past the border. Life in Saineven is modest, if one is willing to work, and mainly consisting of raw labor. The Kingdom is not known for it's military might, though their fighters are considered to match 5 of the Delphorian 'bastards'. It is rumored that Saineven holds more victories than Delphoria, though this cannot be accurately confirmed.
It's reigning monarch, King Alexen II is second of the royal family to serve. Insofar, his rule would be described as just, mayhaps benevolent to some. However, civil unrest is beginning to boil within the alabaster white walls. With the war at a standstill, the commonfolk wish for peace treaties to be drawn. To King Alexen, it would be an act of surrender, and he will not abide. For now, it's citizens remain mostly silent, aside from an appointed official sent to the King himself. How long this silence will last is unknown...
Oppositely, the Delphorian Empires lies southwest to the Rotted Lands, it's citizens under absolute tyranny. The Empire is known to conquer smaller lands, either through show of overwhelming military force or through crushing the opposition to dust. Life is cruel, with corrupt officials and an surprising amount of vagabonds within the walls. The former tyrant, Emperor Avictus Facilis, regarded the rebellion as if it were mud on his boot. A nuisance at best. 'over in a years time' he announced triumphantly. Many generals will tell you that underestimating your enemy can be fatal. His son, Acictus Facilis II has thus taken up the mantle after his father's passing, and pledged to 'burn Saineven the color of charcoal'
Akin to Saineven, it's citizens wish for the fighting to end, even down to the military. Some 300 knights have left, not back to the Empire, left for good. Deserted. It is rumored that Delphoria is planning a final, devastating offensive. That is, if the army does not dissolve first...
Before the war, The Abandoned were known as the 'Crimson Company', named after the crimson surcoats worn by the soldiers. As with all Mercenary companies, their services were offered to whomever paid. Those were considered the 'glory days'. At the war's genesis, both Saineven and Delphoria competed for alignment, The Abandoned denying either side. However, when refusing to work for either nation, work soon became an object of fantasy. As the war dragged on, only the most loyal -or the foolish- remained. However, deserters from both sides have recently been filling the ranks rather quickly. Thus the Band's name was changed to The Abandoned.
Ironically, as their numbers dwindle from men deserting to the band, through shaky agreements, The Abandoned have allied with Saineven. For now, that is....
Hello! Thank you for stopping by this humble interest check. I, forgiveness, will be your (noob) GM on this adventure, and if I do something stupid, just bear with me.
Now, onto to the actual roleplay bit. I'm looking for at least 5 players to start along with 1 co-GM. What I want for this roleplay is player creativity. A roleplay will dull players is just a shitty roleplay in my opinion. I want you to suggest factions, anything that you would think would be good for this(within reason of course). That being said, this roleplay will focus on you as an Abandoned Mercenary. If you're looking for massive all out battles out the gate, look elsewhere. A great deal of this roleplay will be men waiting around, moving to battlefields, and a surprising number of them dying before the battle even begins.
If the above sounds like hot shit, then I welcome you brave warrior. Once (and if) this check gets sufficent interest, Things like a CS and such will be added. You can however use this thread to ask any questions, get rough ideas of characters or just converse with a chill GM. Anywho, this is Forgiveness, signing off. Peace..
