The Academy of ArtsMan, yesterday the place had been filled with chattering students and excited laughter, but now, it was so quiet.
Lucien leaped forward, his footsteps echoing down the empty hall. He felt a twinge of excitement though chided himself for it. This was pretty serious. The summoner spun around so he was walking backwards, his eyes were focused on his friends. Their leader looked pretty fired up while Moira was quieter than usual. Ever since breakfast time she had looked kind of angry. He shuddered, if not for everyone else's warnings he probably would have died at the table.
"Mhm?" he gave Lute a smile. "Well, if I were a thief, I'd want to steal everything I could get my hands on. Like Angel said, everything here looks really pricey." His eyes flitted towards Trixie. "Hey kid, maybe they're really after the fountain. I mean, it looked really shiny."
Xan stuck close towards the back of the group. She still felt a little bad about upsetting Moira, but Marcus assured her the berserker would get over it, so she decided to respect her friend and give her all the time she needed. "A fountain would be too heavy to lift though."
The summoner laughed, "lift shmift, for all we know they could have some sort of cool teleportation gun." He nodded, as if he had given them a valid argument. "Villains always tend to have cool gadgets and whatnot." He continued rambling on, but she was no longer listening to him. "But you're right Lute, they could be after people! It won't matter though, Dallia and Angel are definitely safe with us." He gave them a thumbs up then spun around so he was finally walking like a normal person.
"Excuse me, Dalia?" Xan focused her attention on the priestess. "If you were the thief, which item of extreme value would catch your eye, or is there anything different. Something with a quality that sets it apart from the other pieces?"
