"No...nothing's wrong," Nolan shook his head and sank into a free seat.
He didn't want to cause any unnecessary tension. They were still a crew, though a part of him really didn't know what to think about Luro at this point. He noticed the others giving him funny looks and he was touched by the concerned gesture. "Hey captain, that woman...Lillian was it?" His eyebrows were drawn together and anger flashed across the usually cheerful chef's face. "Is she alright?"
Only Alicia and Luro were left now, the fishman had been defeated and the crowd cheered louder than ever.
"You know, she had a kid with her..." he let the thought dangle in the air. If the woman was dead, then what would happen to the child. Maybe she was a bad person and maybe Luro had justifiable reasons, but judging by their conversation at the port, it seemed as if they had been friends. And even if the woman had been someone mean, she didn't pose a threat to Luro now and she was looking after a child too.
He clenched his fists until his knuckles turned white. "I don't think the kid had anyone else left."
Making a child suffer was despicable and part of him started to hate Luro Makachi.
