Heyo guys ^^! The IC is up, for now feel free to roam around the city. The magic show is in two hours IC time~

Also, I whipped up quick banners for everyone just in case people wanted some too :)

Mauville City: 5pm - Pokemon Center on a Hilltop

"A magic show?" Rai peered curiously at the several posters adorning one of the Pokemon Center's walls, on the page was a man in a sleek suit, a flamboyant top hat and a mysterious white mask, Pidgeys fluttered wildly around him while an Ekans poked it's head out from under one of his sleeves. Bright pops of color surrounded his stage name: "The Marvelous Masked Magician" the poster read. To be honest it looked a bit cheesy, but Rai couldn't help but crack a grin, the last time she'd seen a magic show was when she was six.

People milled about the Pokemon center as usual, but the girl simply stood still, eyes focused on the poster as a goofy grin crept up her face. "Hey, Aimee, do you wanna catch the show?" Rai spun around so she was facing her friend. "It says the show isn't till eight, so we've got some time to get there. It's at the park or something." She gave the poster another quick glance and nodded her head. "I know, I know, magic shows are for kids, but hey, you might be able to get some awesome photos if you come with. Whaddya say? It'll be fun, even Flame's excited." And without saying anything else, Rai yanked up the flap of her messenger bag to reveal a napping Quilava... so much for excited. "Well, he's excited deep down. Anyways, I'll wait for you outside, it's getting a little crowded in here."

With a wave, Rai strode towards the double doors and out the Pokemon center. Outside the sun was already beginning to set and grey clouds hung ominously overhead, casting shadows over the buildings below. The air felt damp and Rai wondered if a little rain would be enough to cancel the magic show. It wasn't that she really wanted to go, but she and Aimee had traveled all day and it would be nice to start their stay in Mauville with a night of magic and Pokemon. Sure, she was mainly in the city to hit the gym but a little fun never hurt anyone. As she stared down at the city, the Quilava in her bag stirred then poked his head out to see the view. Rai gave him a pat on the head. "Whaddya think, Flame? It looks really pretty doesn't it?"

Just out of view on another hilltop farther away, an Absol also looked down on the city.

Hey guys, sorry for the silence. School's been pretty busy this week, but expect the IC to be up by the weekend ^^

And they're currently in Hoenn :)

As for Willow and Shawn, them meeting but eventually splitting up sounds like it could work, definitely up to you guys though~

As for how Aimee and Rai met. Would Aimee enjoy taking photos of Pokemon xD? If Rai saw her snapping away, she'd definitely approach Aimee and start up a conversation. The gal's no photographer but her dad's a wildlife photographer so she'd be pretty interested in what Aimee does and stuff. If you like, they could have met a week or so ago or something like that?

And as for how we're going to bring everyone together ^^! I was thinking we'd be starting in Mauville City or Rustboro and our characters are brought together due to an upcoming Pokemon Musical somewhere in the city. (Or we can pick another event xD like some famous magician visiting and doing a show.)

Let's get this party started ^^! Guys, please move your sheets to the character tab~

So is everyone here :)? Majority of you guys voted for starting before the calamities, so we'll be starting on the day everything goes to hell, a few hours before the first wave of calamities. Before we begin, I'd like for us to establish character relationships. It's cool if you want your character to meet everyone for the first time when we start, but I figured having some pre-existing relationships would help us get the ball rolling. How long your characters have known someone else's depends on you guys. Haha, a day before this all happens, sure! Friends for several years who ran into each other again by chance? Go ahead xD!

Rai is currently in Hoenn to take on the gyms but has only been in the region for approximately two weeks. She managed to nab one badge during those two weeks. Does anyone want their chara to be her travel buddy ^^? I'd be more than happy to brainstorm with ya.

Age: 17
Personality:

An adventurer at heart, Rai is constantly on the move. Staying in one place for too long bores her, and she's a bit of an impulsive thrill seeker, one of the reasons her mom tends to fret whenever she's on the road. Daring, and not one to back down from fights or challenges, there's never really a shortage of excitement around her since she often gets herself into silly spats and arguments.

Rai is not what one would call a patient person. She's got a temper and this often leads to poor decisions or hurtful words. Often, these poor choices come back to kick her butt, but the girl tries to learn from them and takes things as they come. She might have a tendency to snap when upset, but Rai rarely ever holds a grudge. Temper aside, her dad sometimes likens her to a blaze because when she sets her mind on something, Rai burns bright and fights hard. She's a tough nut to crack, often hiding her fears and insecurities behind angry outburst or bright grins. Rai doesn't have everything figured out, but her heart is usually in the right place.

Biography:

• The daughter of a wildlife photographer and teacher, Rai was born and raised in Goldenrod city, but has traveled across most of Kanto and Johto with her father. Whenever left at home with her mom, she'd often wander off and make a fuss, so while her younger brother (a total mommy's boy) often stayed back home, she mostly lived on the road with her dad. And while Rai treasured every moment of it, it didn't stop her from feeling homesick from time to time. She's not going to admit that though.

• Going on trips with her father only spurred her need for adventure. By the time Rai turned 13, she constantly pestered her parents to let her leave on her own journey, they told her to wait a few years, much to her dismay.

• Sometime after Rai turned 15, her father returned from one of his travels with an injured Cyndaquil. She helped him nurse it back to health and named the Pokemon Flame. The Cyndaquil took a liking to her and Rai obtained her first Pokemon. Shortly after, she left on her own adventure. She's been on the road for a little more than two years now.

Pokemon Team:

The Team

1.

Flame (M)

Rai's father rescued Flame on one of his trips. He brought the injured Cyndaquil home and Rai helped nurse the Pokemon back to health. Flame took a liking to Rai and the two have been partners ever since. The Quilava is very protective of Rai and will go to great lengths to make sure she doesn't get herself into trouble. He can bit a bit of a grump when it comes to others but after he warms up to people Flame will make sure to keep an eye out for them too.

Clock (F)

One of Rai's first Pokemon. Clock is calm and calculating, often noticing minute details before anyone else on Rai's team does.

Lavi (M)

The newest member of Rai's team. Lavi likes playing rough and never knows when to quit. The Jolteon sees Flame as some sort of rival, much to the Quilava's dismay, and often tries to get into play fights with the fire type.

4.

Mia (F)

The biggest member of Rai's team, while she might look a tad intimidating she's as playful as a pup and is very affectionate. She captured the Growlithe during one of her trips to Kanto, Mia evolved on Rai's 17th birthday when Rai received a Firestone from her father.

5.

Duke (M)

The newest addition to Rai's team. On one rainy night, Duke tried to scare the girl and her pokemon, but it didn't work. Rai applauded him for his shenanigans though and the curious ghost decided he wanted to tag along.
He's a trickster who loves to scare people and is usually looking for attention.
