I know you said you'd be closing off the RP, but would you mind if I squeezed in a character while it's still tentatively open? I was trying to look into this as the site went down, so I couldn't get a full lay of the land. If yes, I want to try for a character with a cloning ability because I feel it'd be an interesting part to play and I see it hasn't been proposed. I can work with a bare bones sheet I have lying around and flesh it out from there.
I can certainly adjust my character if need be.

Korra was levelheaded?

That's fair. But she used firebending a good deal more than waterbending because it came more naturally to her. For the most part, waterbending characters were more reserved.
Interestingly enough, we all went with less levelheaded waterbenders than you tend to see in the series.
Name: Ramik Saemo
Age: 22
Gender: Male

Appearance:
Tall, lightly muscled, and lightly tanned. The first thing someone might notice about Ramik is his oddly large ears. They're the kind of ears look entirely out of place until his beaming smile settles in between. His bright light brown eyes too seem unfitting until coupled with a chilling scowl. He's actually only moderately attractive, but given the right lighting or the proper expression the young man suddenly seems devilishly handsome. Individually, his features seem as though they might clash, but he wears the eclectic blend well. When he's on stage, he tends to wear snazzy, hipsteresque type clothing, though if you were to meet him on the street, he'd likely be wearing a leather jacket, a tank top, and some ill fitting sweatpants. A large crescent moon tattoo adorns his back, while two koi fish encircle his forearms.

Abilities:
Aside from his glorious voice and an unnatural gift for music, Ramik is a formidable opponent. Until recently his bending was mostly inactive, his chakra blocked by emotional trauma. But now, in no small part due to his music, he's learned to channel his internal turmoil into a natural aptitude for waterbending. His bending experience is minimal, though the potential is there. He has already discovered a knack for healing. Before his bending was at his disposal, he resorted to more primitive methods to make his feelings clear, and as such has a considerable amount of hand to hand and combat experience. When fist and foot alone couldn't quite get his message across, he's been known to accentuate his point with a bullet.

Equipment and Bionics:
Ramik managed to get his hands on a decommissioned police motorcycle and uses it as his primary means of transportation. In his pocket he keeps a harmonica that doubles as a pocket knife while he carries a handgun and two canteens at his hip. While bionics have intrigued him, the cost has regularly deterred his curiosity.

Personality:
Ramik is generally an ill mannered, but bright young man that has endured an undue deal of pain in his lifetime. This has led to a great deal of trust issues and some emotional instability which he'd been making great strides towards abating. Much of his life has been a series of misery and as such he has a tendency to be bitter and harsh, butmostly only to those he believes to have wronged him. While he is capable of great feats of perseverance, he is prone to impulsiveness and recklessness and has strong inclinations towards violence. He's rough around the edges and naturally exudes a tough, rebellious exterior, but beneath it all he's a damaged, sensitive soul who's unsure of what to do with what life's given him.

Backstory:
United Daily News
"Ramik is an up and coming singer/songwriter with a love for music and a troubled past. He plays multiple instruments and is known largely for his versatility, bold lyrics, technical complexity, and his impressive voice which he couples with bouts of whistling. His stage presence is overwhelming and it's clear with every note and every movement exactly how intimate he is with his music, hell, just with music in general. His voice is raw and stirring and his lyrics are haunting yet lovely. It's easy to see how damaged he is; every time he gets in front of the mic, he bares his soul and holds nothing back. But its weathered performers like him that are truly one of a kind."

Ramik's early life was unfortunate in far too many ways, though it has become just as much an excuse for him as a muse. Born of a hooker too poor to afford a solid abortion and some random creep she serviced once in his car, Ramik was immediately ditched two towns over only to find himself at an underfunded orphanage where he'd spend his formative years being ridiculed and beaten for one reason or another by the older kids too bitter from years of being passed up by potential families. After six long years of torment, he was taken in by a moderately wealthy young couple unable to bear children of their own. Aside from regular bouts of violence at school, that led to his expulsion, he'd lead a nice life with his new family for some time. A slew of private tutors were hired to compensate for his lack of standard schooling, among them a music teacher. While the one on one sessions proved invaluable to Ramik's learning as a whole, the young boy really identified with music in a new way. It was unfamiliar, the feeling of truly belonging in a moment, but that's what music offered him and it was something he didn't want to let go of.

Later on, it was discovered that Ramik's mother was having an affair with one of his teachers. When his father found out, his fury was savage. The man beat his wife to within an inch of her life then strangled her to death as his son looked on. Feeling helpless and terrified, the boy found his father's gun in the closet and did the only thing he could think to do in the moment. He pulled the trigger. Unfortunately for this circumstance, the weapon was unloaded at the time, and his father rose from his mother's disfigured form to turn his rage on his son. Police came in on Ramik receiving a beating not unlike his mother's and when his father continued on, they killed the man directly in front of his son. After a stint in the city's foster care program, he came of age and moved away from their town.

Between a dependence on drugs, curbed by an influential friend turned lover, followed by the death of said lover, Ramik's life took a few turns for the worse before it got better. A girl he planned to marry helped him to set his life on a clearer path. She was ambitious, a visionary, magnanimous really. She cared for him when no one would. For a time, he was genuinely happy as he learned to manage his feelings. After her death, he found himself in yet another dark place, though because of what he learned from her, he made it through it. He found a way to bring life into his music from the death that plagued him and began staking his claim for fame. But the road to stardom is a bumpy one, and in this case bumps tended to be synonymous with thugs that Ramik owed money to and friends with favors to ask.

Oh, you Surviving Veterans better not ruin it and speak of Jon's past.

Nothin' to worry about, long as Fuad keeps on a kickin'.

Also, mornin' all. Mother fucking nice weather here in FL. Preparing to read the latest before heading to the park.

can you switch Marrie to being 'not immune' and Ivy to being 'immune'? That would be extremely awesome of you :)

If I remember correctly, for entrance into the CDC facility, one does have to be immune. So Marrie would have to stay immune if that were the case.
Blue Dog, I know it's a lot to ask, but if you wouldn't mind taking a few additional moments before posting, you'd find quite literally directly above your post an explanation answering your very same query.
Wouldn't a combination be more likely though?
Example: Az is secretly a racist, but an angry Latina ex girlfriend from his term with the Marine Corps discovered his foul views and captured him for torture. For the past two weeks she has kept him in a remote facility hidden deep within Northern Michigan's rural, wintry abyss. During said time, she has posed as his replacement, to abate suspicion from the vigilant online community of RPG. She knew no one here would believe that the great and powerful Azseth would not return and thus adopted his identity as her own. The transformation was nearly complete, but first she'd need to finish the job. She'd kill that racist bastard with a smile and a shovel.

Obviously this is far more realistic than any one of the previously offered solutions.
Az, the first one was very well written. Has me excited to get back in the mix. About to read the second now.
