Two topics in one day. I feel like Nat. Oh god.

Anyway, I've just declared my major (English) and two of my latest essays are in the running for monetary prizes from my college. Looks like my time away from Spam has paid off. I am excited to once again lose some brain cells by sticking around here through the slog that is finals.

How's everyone else doing? In college (for you youngsters/old fogies) or otherwise?

I love my 3DS, but I only have a tiny catalog of games for it right now. I've got Bravely Default, Pokemon Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and Fire Emblem: Awakening. Yup. I like them all, pretty much, and I'm mainly into RPGs, strategy and the like, but I think I could really use a good platformer. Or perhaps a few engrossing RPGs so that I don't do any of my work until finals. Which is already the plan, actually...

Anyone here picked up Conception II yet? I've heard mixed things and while I've been looking forward to Atlus's new release, I wonder if there are other games out there that might be a better use of my money. I don't really want a Persona-lite clone, seeing as I'll just lug my PS2 with me next semester if I truly want to play a Persona game.

I trust Spam to be well-versed in handheld gaming, for some reason.

I am more interested in a mix-match kind of thing. A lot of people are interested in specific folklores. I'm more interested in Scandinavian folklore than Japanese, but most other people aren't well versed in it at all. *shrug* I say, let people pick what they want.

I, for one, like Irish and Russian folktales, but I've got a lot of mythology sources to draw from if I think more variety is necessary. I'm not suggesting that we all pick Grimm's or something to that effect, just that if we notice a trend in the types of fables we pull from, there might be a common thread we can use as a plot point. That's why it might be best to all decide on a "quest" plotline together, rather than have something shored up from the get-go.

I'm still up for this, but the idea need ironing, and I need help >_<...

I think the idea and plot are pretty up in the air, and for good reason, I think. Basically, we're not going to quite know what we can do until we hear what fables people want to draw from. If we primarily do Japanese fables, for example, then we can work with traditional Japanese myths, monsters, and heroic tales to cobble together a plot. It's not going to do much good to arbitrarily pick a storyline to follow if some certain fables come with a neat arc already that we could play off of. I think once CSs get put together, then we can discuss where we want to take our characters and what myths we want to play off of in order to get to a satisfying roleplay that has a good blend of story, action, and interpersonal relationships.
I am headed into finals fairly soon, but I will definitely be able to etch out time for this RP right after I submit this essay. So, basically, assuming we don't start first thing tomorrow morning, I'm still game.

Foreign Hamlet in your sig. That's nice. That almost looks a bit like Romanian, but I could be totally off base with that.

Act ninja'd me. I can compliment your ninja'ing skils.

This is the most truthful statement I have ever read. From Nat, at least.
