I've always liked creative stuff - art, writing, crafts - but haven't always made enough time for it. I find I'm always more likely to come back to RPs because someone else is waiting...I've got loads of stories I started but never quite finished. Hopefully RPing can get me back into writing more.

I like fantasy (medieval settings with magic, dragons etc), sci-fi (Love AI and space) and anything else that stays interesting enough really :)

PM me if you want to know any more, I'm always happy to chat to new people!

1) I'm not confident about GM so I'll bounce to the whip instead ^^

2) I don't mind any years. I liked the idea of getting sorted into houses and being first years gives more timely reasons for explaining the history of a character...but as others have said, this might end up having a few months of RP where we just talk about back story.

3) 2017 seems popular and I've no problem with that.

4) I'd rather a meddling GM, like we all post our character descriptions and the GM acts as a sorting hat, decides on punishment for misbehaviour, gives news from the outside world (someone has robbed gringotts, escaped Azkaban, etc) and whatever else suits the story line.
Granted but you can only get the outside cuts of the pineapple.

I wish I could sing really well.

@bishop I do remember that one! Though I think that means I'm dead now before the story starts :p unless someone loves me enough and it bounces off...then I just get a lightning scar.
I like the sound of this too. Do you have a specific plot in mind or any characters you want to see?
I read all the books...as they came out though. Been a while since then though ^^; I always enjoyed the world she created and would like to get to explore a hogwarts of our own.

So...I'm interested but don't be surprised if I don't remember what all the spells do or who all the characters are.
Even if there were tags for smut I doubt most people would put it down straight off. Personally, if there were to be any erotic scenes, I would like a build up to that point - something I feel an RP tagged as smut wouldn't offer - and I expect the majority of female RPers are the same.

Tagging the RP as smut would draw, as a majority, sexually frustrated boys who are hoping to RP with the fairer sex but instead find themselves in Elberta around festival time*.

Sure adult content does suggest some of this - rather than spicing the role play up with filling out your council tax forms and mortgage meetings at the bank - but to a lesser extent.

*Elberta holds a huge sausage festival every year.
Character sheet

Name: Alissa

Appearance: Tall, thirty five year old woman, remarkably plain, short dark hair (just above her ears) and often wears worn a hooded cape.

Personality: Curious but cautious. She cares, above all else, about her family.

Class: Flower seller (and good listener)

Magical affinity: None that she knows of (not allowed to practice, right?)

Equipment: She carries a flower basket, sometimes also selling bread when her neighbour is too ill to sell his own wares.

Backstory: Her family have always lived in Vilnick but were a family of blacksmiths. When the council first took over her grandfather was killed for having forged weapons for the Templars. Her father was left with strict instruction to only forge horse shoes, a waste of his talent, and then ten years ago a noble approached her father enquiring about a set of ornate metal pokers. After thirty years of horse shoes her father decided it was punishment enough and it would do no harm.

The noble man boasted of his new fireside tools to a visiting member of the council and, meaning only to increase publicity for the talented man, he told the council who had designed and crafted the set of pokers. Her father was banned from ever smithing again and, as an extra hit to his masculinity, the huge man was given only one profession his family could go into: Flower selling. (This includes anyone who marries into the family, leading Alissa to be further avoided by the men of Vilnick).

Now her father spends most of his days sitting, dejected, in the town square with his spread of flowers before him. Alissa walks the town, selling where and when she can and adding fresh loaves to her wares when the baker next door can't get out to sell them himself. In her years of selling Alissa has found herself being overlooked, almost as if she were a part of the scenery. Perhaps it is her plain face or the fact a quiet street seller truly does blend into the street itself ... but whatever the reason she over hears conversations, whispers and gossip ... and the talk of the knights on patrol.
