This is asking for an RP in which the Southend-on-Sea furniture bots battle for control with the Korean casino bots, in an ultimate struggle that will destroy the world.

Suddenly building some kind of wall doesn't seem like a bad idea. Vote Frengo 2016 for RPG President.

Is it sad that I bought a 10yo Netbook from Ebay with the sole intent of using it just to write my RP posts?

Sea Gorillas are not a "personal" issue, and affect the entirety of mankind. It's morons like you that prevent social and cultural progress.

I need to go for a bit guys, the Mrs wants me to take her down the pub. If Erklings doesn't like the map I threw up, then just discard it and I'll remove it when I come home. If he does like the map, then no problem was my pleasure!

Catch you guys later ;) Don't kill everything without me!

A laser round bounced off of the Silencer's helmet, leaving a blackened scar across the crimson paintwork. He turned in that same instant, and put a hole through his attacker's stomach. Looking around, he realised the guards were now on the defensive, as the Silencer's adhoc squad of apparent bad asses tore through their ranks with frightening abandon.

Using the temporary lull in combat to his advantage, the Silencer approached a nearby terminal. It seemed futuristic, yet somehow old. Perhaps the resistance - although at this point, the Silencer was starting to doubt these guys were resistance fighters - had gained themselves some redundant technology and re-purposed it.

In any case, it was English, which was good, and its coding familiar. A few taps of the keyboard brought forth a wealth of information.

GALACTIC EMPIRE MAINFRAME ACCESSED

##### WARNING UNIDENFIED USER DETECTED ####

#### CONFIRMED. SYSTEM DEFENCES BYPASSED ####

#### ACCESSING FACILITY MAP ####

The Silencer studied the map, and took a few seconds to formulate a plan. "Through the far door, is a corridor that'll take us right into an enemy strong point. If we get through that, there's a retractable landing pad not so far away. We might be able to get ourselves a ride!"

The Silencer grabbed the torch, and paused to inspect it. The thing was an antique! He'd never seen anything like it, aside from a history book. Putting it to the powder trail, he barely flinched when the explosive substance ignited, trailing sparks across the floor. The stack of juryrigged explosives caught fire, and there was a few brief seconds of apprehension.

"Fire in the hole!" The Silencer called, repositioning himself in front of the Prosecutor and holding his arm in front of his face.

And then there was an explosion, not an enormous one, but its force shook the cell and brought dust pouring down from the ceiling. As the smoke started to clear, it was plain for all to see that the bottom hinge had been blown out of its fixings. Not wasting any time, the Silencer ran forwards and threw his weight against the door in one heavy motion of kinetic energy.

The door gave way with a loud metallic creak, hitting the floor beyond with an echoing slam.

"Hey, what the-" someone, barely visible through the haze, called out in confusion.

The Silencer reached forwards, grabbed the stranger by the neck and threw him against the closest wall. Then he moved forwards, just as another guard - a man dressed in more outlandish clothing - tried to swing a baton at him. The Silencer caught the man's wrist, snapping it with one fluid move, and then slamming him in the face with an open palm. With a whimper, the guard fell down.

Bending over, the Silencer reached for what looked to be a pistol - not the kind he'd worked with before - but a pistol nonetheless. By now, a whole commotion was kicking up on the other side of this new room. It was expansive, lined with barred cells down either wall, with a central atrium. More guards were rushing forwards, some holding batons, others reaching for their pistols attached to their belts.

The Silencer aimed his newly acquired weapon at the first of the guards, pulled the trigger, and a red laser beam emitted forth - smashing into the chest of his target, and sending them sprawling head over heels.

@Frengo Well on the otejrs side of the door I pictured that there would be loads of other cells, with a bunch of people from different universes. But also loads of guards. Loads of them.

Works for me. Alright guys, cover your ears!

@Erklings25 What are we likely to find on the other side of the door? Want me to make it up, or do you have something in mind? I'll need to know for my next post.

@Erklings25 Yeah, I just wanted to get a response up to your guy considering the convo was kinda directly between them. It's also why I didn't have him snatch the torch and set the fire himself :P just a bit of dialogue fluff.

Well, the game Crusader No Remorse was a violent isometric shooter that dug its claws in me when I was a young man. It's a pity they never revived it, considering it inspired the Fallout team to make Fallout, you'd of thought Origin would have tried to cash in on it.

You basically play as a renegade Silencer, butchering the W.E.C (which is a global business group that runs everything). You have to be very resourceful, as ammo is quite scarce and the enemies can be quite tough. More often than not you had to use your environment to your advantage (turning on hot steam or forcing enemies to walk into the line of their own automated defences). Was a really fun game though.

"Thanks are not necessary sir," the Silencer replied, "right now my priority is to get you out of here and towards safety. As it stands, I have no idea where we are, and this room has provided few clues. We could be off-world, then again, we could be somewhere on Earth. That the resistance have managed to produce some kind of mobile teleportation technology is startling, I've not seen anything like it. As you well know, the W.E.C relies on static teleportation pads that have to be linked with a sister pad somewhere... you have to literally stand on them to go anywhere. But the resistance seems to be able to pluck people off the ground at a whim. If this is all true, then they are a bigger threat to the W.E.C than they ever were before, and must be stopped."
