Name:
Nathan "Nate" Dixon [center]
Age:16
Grade:10
Social Class:Gifted
Social Class Explanation:Ever since he was young Nathan's technological genius was apparent. At the age of 10 he had wrote his first program, and at the age of 12 he entered and won his first Robotics Competition. When it comes to modern technology, he has the ability to adapt to any interface in seconds, and completely understand it in a minute. However this is as far as his intelligence goes, when it comes to regular school work he is average at best.
Personality: On the surface Nathan appears always happy, helpful, and optimistic, as if the world could do him no wrong. He will give of himself to help others, volunteer to do tasks no one else will, and all while smiling. It's almost as if he compels you to ask of him. As if, his life would somehow suffer, if you had taken that burden instead of him. However, this is only a facade, he acts this way so people won't see his sadness, he never allows anyone close to his heart. He smiles because if he doesn't, he'll cry, he helps, so that he feels needed, and he is always looking up, because, for him, there is nothing below.
History:As a child, Nathan's parents were working dead end jobs and struggling to make ends meet, and they took their frustration out on him. However, at school it was no better, his ragged clothing and silent behavior made him the target of all the playground bullies. His only solace was his computer. He dedicated himself to his computer, whenever he could, allowing himself to completely intertwine with its world. Soon he began taking interest in other aspects of technology. At the age of 10 he made a computer from the scrapyard of computer parts in the back of his school's library. This was his only solace, he spent countless time tinkering and caring for it, as if it was his children. On his 11th birthday, fed up with his new hobby, his parents shipped him off to his grandmother, claiming his habits were becoming to costly for them. His grandmother was the breath of air that he needed to stoke his fire. She supported his hobby and supplied him with books and parts and anything else he might need. One year later, he entered the Regional Robotics Competition and wowed the judges with his Robot programs that were ahead of the times.Shortly after that she becomes sick and on 16th birthday, his grandmother passed away from Pneumonia, taking a part of him with her, and instead of returning home he decided to apply for Caelbury Academy.
