I'm kinda contemplating making a 3rd character. Waiting for Niji to get the thumbs up before I can post with Shinichi.
Wait...so Kato attacks someone close up and he is too "foward." The guy before him does the same thing and he gets mental praise from Satoshi.

Why won't you accept my love!!!???
Sure would be nice to read a post by Gero involving his jounin telling Kato how good the performance was.

Yeah...I guess a boy can dream. Teehee.
Back to the serious post: I will post with Shinichi once Niji gets accepted. So...there's that Glitch

So, you do have to join another site if you want to join this?

Nope. It is only recommended because if the guild goes down we enjoy being able to stay connected on a backup site. You don't need to join any other site other then this one to participate in the RP.
I changed Kato's age from 14 to 15.5 to match with the time skip. I forgot to do that so I should probably get around to doing that.
I also intend to add Genkei into Kato's history but I won't do that until we officially have 2 separate rosters, one for the guild and another for the backup site.
Kato Daiki – My Turn

Satoshi’s response to Kato’s thoughts on meet-and-greet fighting was basically what he thought it would be. He basically teased him for being late but then went on to say something he wasn’t expecting; there wasn’t any fighting. The walk to the training field seemed like an eternity. It was all silent excluding the moment where the only female member of the team spoke to him and asked him about his name. ”My name is Kato.” He responded simply, not bothering to mention his family name. Kato gave a friendly smile to the girl and then offered her a question. “You look a lot like you’re from the Shizuka clan. I worked with a few of them when we helped clean up the town after…well, you know.” He obviously was talking about the events leading up to the march. “Would I be correct in guessing that?” he finally got to his question and waited for a response.

Eventually the group made their way to the training field and the silence was quickly broken by Satoshi. Although Kato didn’t physically do it, mentally he rolled his eyes at the mention of having to fight a clone to showcase their individual skills. At least they weren’t fighting it other, Satoshi was kind of changing it up a bit, but only slightly. Kato was nearly about to volunteer when Satoshi asked who would be the first to fight the clone. The only thing that stopped him was the other male genin’s eagerness to step forward first. ”I’ll think of another one soon, don’t worry” he responded as the young man looked back and talked to him.

Kato watched as the young individual charged at the shadow clone, not something Kato would do without laying a trap first but still a viable tactic. While all this was going down Kato was already hard at work preparing for his turn. With Kato’s arms crossed watching the fight he secretly fed chakra into the ground. This would allow his Earth Snare jutsu to be executed extremely fast. By the time the other genin was half way through with his fight Kato already had the roots positioned right under where Satoshi spawned the last clone. The roots sat millimeters underneath the grassy surface, waiting to strike. If Kato fed his chakra through the ground in large enough spurts the roots should be able to shoot out fast enough to be effective.

Then it was his turn. ”I guess I’m next” Kato stepped forward, chakra being fed into the ground each time his foot hit the ground after a step. He was prepare for the strike. Kato began running forward towards the clone who after lifting their left foot quickly found that a thick root has wrapped itself around them. The clone’s left foot was basically the same story. Kato was unable to continuously feed large amounts of chakra through the ground with each step now which meant the roots would not spread any further up the clones leg (right now they reached the clones bottom portion of their ankle) this meant that Satoshi’s clone was only constrained from the ankle and below.

As he charged forward Kato formed his hand signs which ended with dirt particles quickly forming around his left arm, eventually encasing his whole arm in a wall of solid dirt. This was his Fist Rock Technique. Before his left arm was completely encased Kato managed to take his shield off his back and firmly into his right hand. With a dirt covered arm on his left and his faithful shield on his right Kato was ready to kick some tail. The clone responded with throwing a good amount of kunai in his direction. He swatted away a few with his shield to the right, and blocked the others with his arm on the left, these kunai now simply sticking out of the thick layer of dirt.

Then the unexpected happened. The clone created a large wall made out of Earth. This was obviously a type of Earth Release jutsu. The wall shot up in front of Satoshi, making Kato’s charge nearly worthless. Why the clone didn’t use it under himself and rip out the roots was a mystery. Kato’s charge would not become a waste, it couldn’t, not at this point. Kato charged straight towards the wall, swung his left arm back and punched right into the giant barricade of dirt. Without even skipping a beat Kato knew was he was going to do next. His dirt cast of his left arm was now stuck directly into the wall, hanging out freely after Kato expanded the dirt a bit to allow his left arm to be free.

Kato jerked his left arm back, completely freeing it from the dirt cast and actually used the cast somewhat as a stepping stool. He jumped up, briefly landing on the cast of his left arm stuck in the wall and then jumped up once more. This offered him a shorter distance between the top of the wall and himself. Landing on top of the wall wasn’t even a goal. After jumping straight up and rolling over the top of the roll he went into for the downward kick. The roll progressed until he was ready to strike after falling down the opposite side of the wall. Obvious momentum was put solely into this kick directed right at the clone.

When the time came the kick landed successfully, but not directly on Satoshi’s head. It landed directly on the clone’s right shoulder, obviously dislocating it to the point that anyone could see it from several feet away. As the clone gripped its right shoulder Kato landed on the ground. He didn’t have any momentum built up but he did still have his shield. The final blow that the clone would see is Kato’s shield being swung and bashing it on the left side of the head, obviously ending the fight.

”So…” he huffed a little bit from the intense fight. Kato made his way slowly to his new team. ”I think it is Nadra’s turn. You might wanna get that wall out of the way too” again he let out another huff. The fight was honestly quite fun, it wasn’t really what he expected.
Gero I haz a quest-shun!

Did your Kumo jounin create 3 different clones or are you going to basically make a new one after each turn? I guess you could also post a response after each person attacks a clone but I don't know if you wanted to do that.

Now that that is out of the way...
I can haz cheezburger?

Gamer, please. I appreciate your input and all, but its WIP. Its a reason why none of the GM's reacted on it. Its a work in progress and we have the capable people who can help out newcomers. Please keep that in mind.

I'm just saying. Location is an important thing when making your history. I didn't want them spending half an hour on an extensive histoy which they couldn't use in the Leaf Village.
The panda is a question for Gero
Its just a suggestion Asura but as far as I know we still need a good amount of ninjas for Kumo, Kiri, and Amega. Why not give one of those villages a try. Kill everyone, and leave....I mean...stay and be an epic ninja in one of those villages.

Also just to say it, everyone needs to start out with a genin first and then can eventually make higher skilled ninja.

This was something I didn't know because word wasn't actively spread to everyone who still had characters invested in the RP, at least not to me anyway. Granted yes I wasn't active, didn't contact you guys much and I don't expect to be told everything as and when it occurs, but a nudge would've still been nice so that I at least knew what was going on.Besides, I can accept that LRA is too much, but learning nothing in two years? Unless there was major slacking that's illogical.Edit: I'm not aiming at you specifically, Alice, but if I were at least told the basic idea of "We're moving back to RPG, if you want your characters to learn anything and join back in, we'll need you to sort it out with us soon" it would've been a bit nicer than being left in the dark with my (unfortunately undeclared, sorry about that) hiatus.Edit again: It wouldn't have taken more than five minutes to find me on skype via the old chat and send me a message, might I add. I know you guys have a policy of not chasing up inactive people that much, but it's not all that much time, even I would bother to check up on people and I'm lazy as all hell.

I understand how this could be annoying for you Glitchy but like you said, it was really hard to find you after the guild went down. Honestly I don't think a lot of people could have found your skype to inform you about the upcoming transition. I'm not sure if you also received a message from Gero on the backup site but to my knowledge he sent a "heads-up" to basically anyone that was active. It was even harder to find you on the back-up site because I don't recall you using your regular username of "GlitchyBugger" this just added to the confusion. Trust me, if I knew what username you used on the backup site I would have probably contacted you at somepoint (most likely to bitch at you more then notify you but thats not the point).

I'm not in any administrative power here so basically Im just telling you this as a friend.

As for not learning in two years its more believable then you may think. I say this because generally having reasoning calms me down a bit and maybe it would help you out as well. Within the one and a half years (18 months) Niji and Shinichi would have to travel back to Kumo after being notified about Kumo's victory (this may take a month or two just due to how disconnected the team was from everyone else.) Additionally the whole team would have a lot more to focus on then just simple training. Most of the time would probably be dedicated to rebuilding the town all while defending from potentially raiders, this obviously not leaving a bunch of time for straight up learning.

You could of course argue that while defending the town you would gain experience but at most it would just strengthen a variety of jutsu and not build up a whole new technique.

Hopefully this helps you out a bit but if not I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure as a team, Shinichi and Niji can progress fairly quickly and this whole confusion wouldn't even matter. I guess the easiest way to prevent this confusion from happening again is to make yourself easily reachable while you go on hiatus. Put your skype (or something) in your signature or on your profile (I don't know if you can currently do that or not on the current guild) and try to keep a consistant username between the backup-site and the main guild. If we can easily reach you this problem shouldn't repeat itself.
